DH feels so rewarding...
So admittedly I was a little worried with everyone saying it's dead etc. Now usually I dont listen to the community as they always over react but I had seen even streamers use this phrase...
But DH is still good, it's fun (animation is a little amusing too lol) but just getting it to work feels so rewarding, tanking a hit into a sprint burst is quite satisfying and iv gotten uses out of it every match so far
I'm curious on the animation change they're planning on adding though, and sure some latency can make it hard to pull off but nothings changed there, even managed to use it against a bot hacker to last a few extra seconds which gave me a chuckle
Anyone else really enjoying it? Or is it just me?

Does it actually grant a sprint burst-like boost when tanking a hit? Or just a regular hit boost? I’m still a bit confused on that one.

Yeah it's been pretty satisfying. No one expects it because DH is "dead" so it's easy to get value and it's arguably better, just with a bigger margin for error. Everyone knows how good having effectively an extra health state is.

Yea I was actually gonna make a discussion to comment on this but didn't want to typical nonsense replies. Yea, Dead Hard is good, it's position has just changed. IMO, it's best for out in the open, when You have literally no options that it really shines, because the killer is def gonna go for the lunge, because now they CAN and so you are gonna get the value out of it. The reduction to half a second might even be a buff, that makes you wait until the last second to activate. It makes it so the killer really need to commit to the strike.

NGL i don't plan on ever using DH, but I've seen amazing plays with it's new uses. It's really nice to see people moved on and adapted to new stuff instead of crying.
Also it's so goofy looking now, I love finding golden clips with it

I struggled to get value out of it, because I didn't use Dead Hard pre-patch.
But my friend ALWAYS ran Dead Hard, and he has had something close to a 90% success rate with it. We've even run into scenarios where new DH allowed him to escape, whereas old DH would not have (i.e. DH an Oni slam, which gave him the distance he needed to reach the exit gate). He's never been one to DH thru traps, so he actually swears the new DH is better than the old one.

Best use of it I've seen was a reddit clip where a Claudette dead harded at a zombie for a speed boost mid-chase, it was pretty cool

Sadly it's the hit speed boost, if it was like the other boosts thatd be amazing but it's still good enough to get you to other loops/tiles
Its definitely still a good perk, I always used it so I'm still happy with the change. But yeah animation gives me a chuckle all the time, even if I mess up that slow little dash as the killer watches lol
Ooo I did that today too, actually ended up doing it twice (once to get infected as I was out positioned and then again with DH) it was like multiple free sprintburts 😂

I think its still great too, the speed boost helps a lot to reposition yourself.
They were kinda lazy with the animation tho, hope they change it.

They have stated they are changing it at some point so dont worry.
It's fine for me, usually it's when I end up on different servers but I dont care enough to back out. When hit validation first came out it was dreadful on both sides for me, now it's much better

It's definitely not fine. I and several streamers I saw keep getting the "exhausted on the ground" thing again.
