Hey fog people, whats your advice on learning blight?

Basically what the title says, i was playing blight, and i got super frustrated with sliding off the walls, and survivors being able to just easily side step and lack of turning to counter said side step while trying to go for the challenge of 6 lethal rush hits in a single match. So what advice can you guys give about learning blight? :D

Start out small by playing mostly M1 and use his rush to get around faster. Don't go straight for Lethal Rush, just use it for traversal. As you do this, you will get a feel for what you hit, what you slide on, how to use it to move around, etc.

As you become more comfortable with the Boi ov Bounce, and get to where you can more consistently aim right into Survivors with your Rushes, start going lethal. While initially learning all of this, don't bother with any of the busted Addons, just go with some of the lighter ones. Broken Monocle, IIRC, shows you where you are going to hit. This isn't NEEDED, but if you feel like using it to fill out an addon slot, feel free. Mostly you are getting a good feel for his Base Kit initially. Once you start getting regular Lethal Rushes, start playing with Addons.

Another thing, which you will learn during all of this, is when/where to Rush and when/where NOT to Rush. It can easily get you stuck in tight spots, so you need to know when to take the L and let it end so you can use normal movement to get back to a better area for Big Boi Bouncin'.

Also, a small tip, you can swing at the end of a Rush string to get some extra distance if you need it.

My main advice for blight isn't specific to blight, it's learning any killer with a lethal M2 - just spam it at every opportunity. If you have a survivor a metre in front of you that you could easily M1, go bounce off something nearby and try to hit them that way. You'll probably throw a few games but it'll get you the practice you need, you don't need to learn how to M1 (I assume)

It worked for me anyway, gl hf however you approach it :)

Ya, you want to slowly lean into the Ping-Pong-Pocalypse. Rushing (heh) into such a flexible and nuanced power will easily overwhelm you, so you are best to use it initially to just get around faster, drop it when you get close to a target, and attack as normal. Once you get a feel for it and aren't having many issues with bouncing or sliding when you didn't mean to, that's when you start weaponizing the crazy-old-man-dash.

Different methods for different people. I learn better with gradual integration. Some people learn better with your method. Whatever works for the OP.

Imo hte best way to get good fastest as long as you dont care about winning is slap on alch ring and NO OTHER ADDONS then never m1 a survivor and only use rushes to down them

I don't know, but my new strategy is to wait for the custom bot games so I don't have to eat poop in live matches learning the basic mechanics of the high skill floor killers.

I'm a rookie Blight but I started with the addons that reduce the post-Rush fatigue. The idea being to give myself some more screw-up leeway while I got thy hang of rushes.

Hands down you start by checking out Lillith omen and work on learn Jflicks and slides. Its a bit dif now but it still somewhat applies. Ideally when learning him make sure your connection is stable with a good ping so that you dont engrain bad ping habits. Learn how to counter pallets as well as what a quick break rush is. I also dont reccomend using any addons that increase your speed when learning him like the rat or crow. Those addons are typically a must have but in the learning phase you dont need that extra speed.

I found it helpful to start small work in more open areas of maps and go for a zingle bounce of a jungle gym or building kind of just going for a simple move like the number 7 towards the wall then off diagonally.
