Stealth is New Survivor Meta?
Sit on gen.
When you hear TR, hide and make killer search you (make them waste good time).
If they leave, sit on gen again (Be sure they are not faking leave).
If they find you, use your SB and make good distance. Pre-drop pallets and do not loop.
I am not saying this is busted meta (because it is not) but it is so boring. I am lately seeing more people using Lightweight and stealth perks.
I hope this is not future of DbD.

Not even that because they also nerfed stealth perks like spine chill and iron will.

SC nerfed with very weird way, it just needed to not work against stealth killers.
Iron Will on other hand, i don't know. Maybe 2 nerfs was so much.

I thought the same. I run Iron will with not exhaustion perk, blast mine to have Gen info + Prove thyself, almost 70% escape.
2 -
I am glad you have 70% win rate but this is looks really boring for both sides...
I may try on my survivor games. So i can see more clear how it is good.

Stealth is the way to go now but you have to bring distortion to make it work. Aura perks/add ons are really common right now with new lethal pursuer
Alternatively you could bring OTR but that on,y works when you’re already caught and more than likely being tunneled so…..
But yeah stealth should not be the way to go imo. Encouraging little interaction is not good

Stealth has always been the most efficient way to play IMO.
Sure the Killer will find someone eventually, but the more time you can make him waste while attempting that, the better for you and your team. And if they give up and go looking for someone else, go back on the gen and punish them by completing the objective they failed to defend.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to put up a good chase, but being stealthy and hard to catch makes the Killer waste significantly more time on you than just the later.

Im seeing survivors bringing urban invasion 🙄

I am going to be running Stridor/Predator Spirit as you seem to be correct. Stealth is back.

It's different. Since a lot of surv play killer right now, Iron Will does an amazing job.

I'm hope it is
Stealth can be a lot of fun and to be honest I don't feel like interacting with the killer

most boring gameplay ever. I havent encountered that for a long while as Killer, but suddenly it happened to me twice this patch.
I just camp whoever I caught and the last remaining get all slugged till they bleed out.
0 -
boring as Killer to verse. I slug and camp all those stealthers who take it overboard
0 -
It's been part of my standard build up until now with a lot of success. However, with lightweights buff, I'm likely switching it out.
The trick with using urban evasion is using it to keep constant gen pressure. Running it to sneak around and avoid the killer in general is a bad choice.

So you just want the survivors to run straight up in your face, or wait for you to get the first hit in?
you have reading perks to help you out.. Just because you find that playstyle boring, does that mean you are obligated to punish those survivors because they don’t play the game after you’re head… ok buddy, you seem very fun.
I like the stealthy way, it’s how it should be in a horror. I still recall the old days with endless loops and everybody running flashlight, constantly flashing at you to make you engage and then run to one of the endless loops.. They could keep the killer in chase for 40 min if they wanted, very fun and interacting…

I want chase interaction and not play hide and seek. I like when survivors are good at looping and actually bold enough to show themselves and not hide like little chickens.
yes, aura perks exist but idc. If you hide all game you get tunneled, camped and slugged. Thats how I will punish boring gameplay.
Dont get me wrong, I dont mind when a survivor is using stealth as a tool here and there like idk QnQ with Lithe, mid chase etc. Thats all cool, Im not getting mad about it.
But if survivors are hyper stealthing, touching gens and then vanishing for minutes the entire game forcing me to check every little corner and locker thats when I get really pissed and annoyed and I will 100% will make the time with me in that match as horrible and boring as I can once I spotted you.

What I have noticed is an increase in sprintburst users, so this perk is the first one in the new meta. Survivors do not like hiding, they like chases, and stealth will always be there, but most of them are repairing untill the killer arrived and then they use their haste to go away.

Urban is unnecessary. You can be stealthy easily without that perk. Not only that, but I see survivors crouching to heaven and back while another survivor is being chased on the other side of the map. Crouching and hiding when the killer is nowhere near and being unproductive for the sake of what exactly is unclear to me.
I see people crouch hiding and crouch coming to save me when I'm on the hook and the killer is nowhere near me. I've gone into struggle because of urban users crouching at unnecessary times, and it kinda sucks when you've been saving them all game and the moment you need to be saved they crouch for the save
All in all, in my experience, urban users are the most inexperienced players that tend to do nothing all game and overall don't know how to be stealthy effectively.
If you don't know how to be stealthy fixated or whatever the current name of that perk is, helps. You can get an idea of how to hide, where to hide, and how to manipulate your scratch marks to get the killer to go the wrong way or lose you. Learning how to do that, imo is much better than crouch walking at normal walking speeds

I've definitely been preferring this play style in this current patch with how many face camping situations I've had. Maybe others have had better luck in their games? Seems better to just hide then to take a chase. With all of these aura perks too- going distortion has been a life saver and really capitalized on the stealth playstyle. Dance with me too, has been a lot of fun with this hiding/ stealth gameplay.

I've also started using Sprint Burst and Fixated (I refuse to use the new name :V). It's amazing to quickly walk away from a gen, not be found and hop back on it. If you do get caught, you Sprint Burst to the nearest loop and start the chase game.
They significantly buffed killers in chase so I guess more people are now avoiding chase altogether.

Like I said, just crouching everywhere is a terrible idea. I used it where if I knew the killer was coming to my gen due to spinechill, I'd duck out of the way and hide nearby. Lower profile, the killer rarely saw me at the gen. They'd typically kick it then go about their business and I just run back and continue the gen. Killer would waste a lotnof time trying to find me if he bothered to stop and look around. Other than that, urban is pretty terrible. It encourages slow gameplay which is bad for survivors. Urban is also bad for other jobs other than gen pressure.

That's cool. Hope you can find me.

Im try gen rushing.
im still trying some builds, but, i like a lot this
Overzealous
Inner Strength
Resilience
Built of last
and plus toolbox
I can heal myself, do gens faster with overzealous + toolbox, recharge while heal, it and do gens faster when injured (probably i lost healthy state and overzealous). I will switch built of last for iron will or something makes me more stealth, when i nothing use toolbox

I will find everyone eventually. Noone succsefully ever hided from me the entire match since the beginning of the existence of DbD and you definetly will neither for sure. I really hope I can get you one time in my lobby.

I disagree with SC nerf - fair enough in removing the increased vault speed but the rework is detrimental to vision and hearing impaired players who relied on this perk to play. Devs need to fix this issue before destroying a perk like this.
Agree Iron Will nerf was over the top - should still work while you are exhausted.

I don't know what planet you are on, but the Onyu perk (which in my opinion needs a nerf) reveals that a surv is in the gen, in my opinion it shouldn't have this function, not to mention other perks and addon that reveal the surv,
But still I don't think stealth is the new M.E.T.A , there are a lot of people who prefer the chases than playing hidden

Stealth has always been the meta since the beginning of the game where a Billy could zoom across the map and mori you instantly without a single hook.
It's annoying but I think it's a great tactic than the typical in your face survivors clicking, etc.

As killer, I don't mind stealth games, and even appreciate the patience and planning. It is a mind game and forces me to not move predictably.
Staelth as survivor can be strong with varied builds. I recently found I enjoyed Distortion, UE, DwM and IW as a build. Ran it for 10 matches with a box for 5 and kit for 5. Had better luck with the box escaping 4 of 5 while getting 2 of 5 with the kit. Still a 60% escape rate with zero exhaustion perks.
I'm currently enjoying not having any perks I feel I HAVE to run as killer or survivor in order to compete.
I don't know if it's too early, but I'm leaning towards saying congrats to the devs, this turned out better than I thought it would.
Hopefully we see more of this as we go forward. I can't remember the last time I've enjoyed playing either side.

Why should survivors want to interact with the killer? Sure, some do, but interacting with the killer means getting hooked or death. Survivors's objective is to interact with gens, killer's job is to interact with survivors. And it's killer's job to find survivors, you have a lot of game mechanics and perks that help you with that.

IMO, SC activation was sound the way it was before. If the killer suspected a survivor had it they just needed to approach looking at a 45-degree angle and it would not activate. In a way, a good killer would be able to use the reliance on the perk against its user.

That's fine. I saw a lot of sneaky survivors prepatch and I'm seeing a lot of sneaky survivors now. There's some fun interactions and mindgames involved here, much moreso than being run through a million god pallets on Gideon.
Spine Chill needed a nerf, but all it needed was not to work if the killer was Undetectable. It was too damn much for one perk to hard counter entire killers.
Iron Will...honestly, the same problem. It's like Boil Over - the second the perk is stronger than 'okay', it's a problem.
I used Lithe before the changes and I'll probably always use it, I find the trade-offs of SB to be too detrimental to my sort of aggressive style.
Right now I'm running Lithe, CoH, Kindred and Open Handed. Doing pretty decently. I miss Spine Chill, but I understand why it was changed.
Urban can be incredible on some maps, ditto Fixated. It really throws me off when I'm playing killer.
The problem is that people rely on it too much, or think that it makes them invisible.

Hiding is very well an interaction with the killer tbh.

And people like that complain about boring gameplay. So watching the hook or downed person is more fun to you than literal hide and seek? Braindead

This is how i always play. Best build: SB, kindred, prove thyself and reworked dark sense; if you dont want dark sense, replace with off the records instead or pretty much any healing/information perk. SB is great, vigil is fun too. The rework made a lot of perks fun
