Solo Qs Unite
Solo Que has been miserable this patch but I think there's an opportunity to turn things around if enough players are willing to agree on go to builds for Solo Q
First I think everyone should bring a busted tool box
Second everyone should bring off the record (or ds, adrenaline, unbreakable, or any exhaustion perk)
Third everyone should bring one of prove thyself, circle of healing, or kindred
Finally I think everyone should bring built to last and streetwise ( I believe streetwise still stacks someone correct me if I'm wrong) to ensure timely gen progress all game.
I think I'm a four man solo game with these perks and no coms a 2 and is a likely result and would be a huge improvement from what Solo Que is now.

A strong item, prove thyself and off the record. They can do w/e for the rest of the perks.

I think what is making solo Q feel worse is the time challenges that cause survivors to basically throw games.
Solo Q is not that bad though IMO. I think a lot of survivors just relied heavily on meta builds and never learned to be efficient or properly learn to loop tiles.
Solo Q is still fun for me but I do get the occasional teammates who open chest and do totems first.

Nah, if you want solos to unite we should change all to killer side. 500 solos changing to play killer means the game needs 2.500 survs to play with them
5 -
Play killer only.
Let killer mains enjoy playing SOLOQ lol

2000
4:1 => 2000:500

2.000 plus the 500 survs than play killer now, so there are 500 less survs to play against other killers. 1 survs changing to killer means 5 survs needed

Ah okay, yeah, to replace the now missing 500. Understood

My goodness why didnt they think of that

overzelous, inner healing, built to last. prove thyself or fast track or windows if I want to have one chase perk + 32 charge toolbox + 8 charges + BNP has been my solo queue gen jockey build and I found a lot of success with it

Probably, but many killers tunneled before the patch and they said they didn’t have fun. And now its survs gen rushing and not having fun. And I expect devs to nerf a little regression perks, and give pt the same love they gave to ds or sc

The thing is, people *should* be able to do other objectives. I'm seeing lots of people like yourself saying that if survivors want to survive more then they need to stop doing totems and opening chests etc. The game should not be at the point where you have to sit on a gen the entire time or risk dragging your team down. Doing totems and opening chests give emblem points and bloodpoints, and tome challenges break up the monotony.

That doesnt work in solo q. You can't just police which perks people are bringing.
Just yesterday I had a nea with balanced landing, dead hard, self care and fixated. No, I'm not joking.

Solo Q unite -> SWF.

I just need my soloq teammates to sit on gens and not give up when there are three hooks for 1 gen done. Pace of the game is different now and gens take a little longer to pop, but once you sit on them, they'll fly by and at least 2 survivors should still escape.
I'm not one to tell people what perks they have to bring because it makes it unfun from survivor side being "forced" to bring a select few perks to win. Every build has a niche and as long as they're not running self-care, I'm good.

Depends on the situation on whether people should be able to do these. The devs have long considered opening chest, searching totems, etc. to be secondary objectives. If I’m playing a Doctor with no slow down, sure break some totems and loot some chest, in fact bring Ace in the Hole.
However, if you’re “not surviving and solo Q is hell” like most post seem to say, then I would consider pressuring gens until you feel comfortable enough to pursue secondary objectives.

100% agree with regarding the tome challenges. So many of them amount to "completely throw the game (complete this challenge in a single trial)". Would love a competitive mode where rift progress wasn't possible

THIS!
I normally run a few gen perks and focus on gens all game. But some tome challenges pull me away from gens. So when I stop repairing gens because I NEED to get chased by the killer, funnily enough, gens slow down, people get hooked and it snowballs into a 4k.
A lot of the old time challenges are killing me, tbh. I did one earlier in a match with a streamer, I needed 4 blinds. So I play differently and am less clingy to gens against a Blight. Then big surprise, we all died because he just kept rushing across the map so that maybe one or two gens got done before he slugged for a 4k.

Agreed, but for real I think if items got nerfed solo Que buffs could be introduced without hindering killers or helping swf

I just think if at least 1 solo Q player per game has a gen perk a tool box a team perk and a survival games would be a lot easier
