NOED free kill at end of game but DS/OTR disabled at endgame for survivors

I don't see why DS and OTR are disabled for endgame because it can lead to a free escape when they give killers a free kill mechanic. How did NOED not get any significant nerf from this update? Doesn't make any sense.

It's still a totem to cleanse. Bring Small Game and bam.

Well, perhaps it’s because NOED is useless before the gens are done while DS and OTR are useable?

Let NOED be active at 5 gens and deactivate when gens are complete.

NOED did get nerfed in 6.1.0 though. Maybe you disagree that it's significant, but the totem aura being revealed to nearby survivors seems significant to me.

Noed's totem does get revealed now at the end. Survivors can see the aura from like 24 meters or something.

I agree, NOED should be active at the start of the game just like OTR and DS and then Disabled in the in-game.

Right, it starts as 4m then scales up to 24m over 30sec. That's a pretty big radius. A quick stroll around the map and you'll find it.

Yeah, NOED should be disabled when the gates are powered, that would make it fun and balanced...

Jokes aside, it's a pure end-game perk, while the other two are not. Can't be more simple than that.

I still don't like how NOED works personally, but NOED is an endgame perk specifically while DS and OTR are not. As others have said, it can be disabled before endgame and its aura is shown for survivors to find.

    • NOED is entirely preventable and is only active during the end-game.
    • NOED's aura is revealed to survivors to make it easier to cleanse even if it does activate.
    • Off The Record and Decisive Strike can be used anytime during the match and isnt exclusive to the end-game, therefore removing it's end-game potency entirely helps balance it out, or at least limit how useful it is.

If you want something to complain about... I would focus on DS's stun timer since a huge portion of the stun duration is taken up by getting off the killer's back, I think BHVR really needs to either fix the animation to give the survivor more time or increase the stun duration. It's literally the only thing I would change from the perk mentioned in this post.

NOED did in fact get a significant nerf.

meh NOED is a bad perk it's not an issue, I used to play noed every match most of the time you get no value from it or just 1k that you would have gotten anyway, perks that works during the whole game are far better, it's frustrating to die to NOED but it's not that good

Noed is weak, got even weaker now, the nerf was needed for balance

NOED is annoying but it's not really a problem anymore, the totem is easy to find. As for DS and OTR, I don't agree they should deactivate in endgame, the killer could always go for the unhooker instead of the unhooked, but why would they now they can ensure a free kill? Now it's just the most boring and annoying part of the game.

Crazy how an asymmetrical game treats its power role differently
