My experiences the last few days in SoloQ continue
So I played 14 matches the last two days and I survived only one. I was one hooked 8 times, two hooked 3 and only twice to get I get 3 hooked. The matched I survived I did 4 gens, the matches the gens completed I did 3-4 gens only to die to either a slugfest or just caught finishing the last gen. Only 3 of the matches the killer immediately hard tunneled at 5 gens(both times nemmie), the matches where 2-3 gens(which were about half my matches) got done the killer had 4 slowdowns and the matches went on forever.... The rest.. insta dcs or survivors one hooking themselves.
Around 5 of my downs were due to the killer having a lot of stacks of STBL and I couldn't get anywhere even if a pallet was very close by. I've run into a few killers just bloodlusting every pallet even when it's ultra safe ones. My two three hooks were Sadakos camping and we were way too alturistic. Feels much harder to punish camping by rushing gens when you can't coordinate it with your teammates.
Ultimately, it's just so painful to play from many areas that I might hold off on survivor a while till people settle down and some changes are made. I really like to be chased but it seems like I have to do all the gens as my teammates don't do them in order to escape and it's so boring. I played killer today with no slowdown except corrupt and.. I'm not being hyperbolic... It was very easy. I lost one game as Dredge cause it was my first time playing him and I had one perk(8 hooks tho)

I play enough to finish the tomes now, and that's it unless someone QOL improvements come to soloq. But If Rebecca Chambers is revealed as one of the survivors for the upcoming RE chapter then I'll probably get a second wind for a bit. I don't think it'll last long, but it'll be there.
The last match I had was a Dredge where no gens were done. I spent the entire match either unhooking and healing, trying to do 1 specific gen, or looping because he always came to my gen before I could finish it (on Garden of Joy). It was a waste of time and took over 15 minutes. Do you know what it's like to be in a 0-gen match for that long? While personally trying? Hell.
I can't deal with gameplay changes that made it so chases are shorter and gens take longer, on top of no info in solo. It's doable at times, bit it just feels bad. It's not even needing a mic like swfs, just small icons that tell what tasks others are doing. At least I'll know before ten minutes that no one is doing gens so I can gtfo, or see that it's worth it to keep giving my best for my team that match and for myself.

I've escaped more than I have in the past. I think the increased killer pool is giving MMR killers that I can actually beat.
...... Or it's disabled or broken and I've been getting by on random chance. Maybe I'm doing better because I never adhered to the meta? There's a lot of variables.

I never used meta before but possibly all my teammates did and some of the buffs to killer effecting things.

My Solo Q matches have also been absolute crap since the patch. I stopped playing on the weekend. The camping and tunneling was brutal. Loads of matches with Eruption, CoB, Thana etc. so often the team barely got a gen done. Had a match against a Legion that took 32 minutes (we all died. Dude just kept injuring and wearing us down). People started to kill themselves on the hook or d/c when camped or immediately downed (tunneled right off the hook).
Had a match with a camping Ghostface (hook survivor, crouch behind rock, expose unhooker, down both)- both of them disconnected. So what does he do? Finds the next survivor and plays slug lord. We got each other up under his nose a few times, but eventually slugged us both and we both died on our first hook. Then he sent me a message "LOL GG WP!". His profile (console) had a large blurb about "entitled survivors can cry at me all they like".
So completely mentally healthy.
WIth matches like these, and never escaping, my MMR has gone so low that I'm with noobs. So I logged in on Sunday morning (last time I played, I'll wait to see if they fix this crap), was against a Nemesis who couldn't catch me. When in close proximity he couldnt hit me (I could 360 some what). He chased me through 3 gens, I pallet slammed him like, 3 times, and when he finally did hit me I run Overcome, so I zipped off and he disconnected. And I don't blame him. He was probably really new, but so many mid-tier players have sunk in MMR Hell that now new Killers are being matched with survivors way above their skill/experience level.
It's kind of a mess.

A few things to keep in mind:
- Due to the incentives being killswitched, queue times and matchmaking are *all over* the place.
- STBFL is stronger now, but it's not insane. The second the obsession starts being aggressive, it becomes almost useless.
- While I'd love to see solo queue get some additional help, this game can't really be balanced around it. As long as SWF is a thing, that's going to be the matchup that gets balanced around.
Shrug. My experiences are about the same as before. Some areas are harder, but unhooking is usually a lot safer (I think I'm seeing less killers camp). Gens take longer, but there are no more 'okay, Ruin is apparently invisible and lost us the game' moments.
Dredge is a solidly 'mid' tier killer.
Yes, this game is snowbally on both ends. You'll have survivor games where you slowly lose because the killer found a seam early, but you'll also have killer games where you get a pair of survivors abusing double locker flashlight saves, or a good sabo squad, or just people who know how to loop on a good map and you have no real path to winning.
