Grind reduction? Sure doesn’t feel like it

Matches seem to take a lot longer than they did before the patch. Would be interesting to know how long the average match is now vs. prior to patch. So the amount time of you have to play the game for the same amount of BP has increased. Combine that with no more BP bonus BBQ/WGLF and this grind feels like even more of a slog than it did before.

There was not though. The grind reduction is only there if you play multiple characters. For example, for killers it is reduced if you play all the killers (like me) but on survivor for example, i used to only have to level one to 40 to get their perks, then jump back to my main survivor and get the new perks. Now i have to at least prestige 1 the survivor, which requires them to be level 50 + 20k BPs for the prestige. So that fact alone is more.

Wrong. Survivors are skins; they all play the same. You don't have to play a character to level them up.

Let's just pretend the 20k node isn't there. You're getting perks on every other character you have, for free, once you Prestige someone. How is that less than what we had before?

Well, yeah, but if I want to use a new skin, the grind is objectively worse. No idea what your point is. There is really nothing to debate which is why you lead with "you don't have to." I do not have to do anything. The grind is still worse if I want to...

Right, that is my point. Let's say i play a single survivor and have every perk on them. Now, a new survivor comes out.

    Old way:

    • level the new survivor to level 40 ~1 million bloodpoints
    • Go back to my main survivor, and level up 4-5 bloodwebs ~250k bloodpoints
    • This cost 1.25 million bloodpoints

    New way:

    • Level the new survivor to level 50 ~1.5 million bloodpoints
    • Prestige the new survivor once 20k bloodpoints
    • go back to my main survivor and level up 4-5 bloodwebs ~250k bloodpoints
    • This cost 1.8 million bloodpoints.

This is assuming i only ever one to play a single survivor and want all the perks on them.

It makes sense for killers, which in my case when a new killer came out. i always prestiged them to 3, then unlocked all the perks on them, then went back and unlocked the new killer's perks on all the other killers. So in this case, it obviously saves me a ton, because i only need to prestige the new killer 3 times, and then all the other killers get their perks, and they already have all the other killer's perks because they are all prestige 3 as well.

But the point is, if you don't play multiple characters, the grind has actually increased.

As someone who P3 50d every character except for haddie before the patch trust me its there. Your forgetting that prestiging no longer empties your LnP (loot and perks) as well as the fact that perks are now already unlocked from the get go other toons when you hit prestiged 3. You literally have nothing to complain about i wish i had this new system a long time ago but Im one who enjoys the work.

Yeah, and this is why people should stop prestiging past p10. I say p10 because the max conversation capped at p9 and you could get to p10 at the cost of one bloodweb and 20k. But anything after that is just a complete waste of BP. Not even worth it for bragging rights. Wait until BHVR fixes the grind for items/addons so that you'll actually get something for the bloodpoints you've spent, Don't encourage this broken new prestige system by wasting millions of BP and gaining nothing
