Matches that are taking way too long

With the combination of regression changes and generator times, some matches just feel like they take forever now, specifically those where the killer is heavy on regression perks. Gets very boring frankly and I find myself just suiciding on hook most of the time.

The issue with killing yourself on hook is that you have to go back to the horrendous load times and find a lobby without survivors dodging, and then wait a full minute after that 90% of the time and then load into another game.

So while I kind of agree, I am not sure sitting in menus is any better than actually playing the game. Especially when you consider the next game is likely going to play out relatively similar.

It seems like you just shouldnt play for a bit.

How would that be done? Categorizing perks by design intention and only allowing a killer to bring one/two based on which killer it is?

We have a system in place for Survivor (Exhaustion based perks), is there a debuff that killers could use to prevent multiple slowdown types? Is there a difference between slowdown and regression?

Is it healthy to limit build diversity for the game long term to say you can only bring an X amount of slowdowns, killer dependant?

I do agree that match pacing feels extremely sluggish with the new meta slowdowns. 10 minutes is the sweet spot. And 15+ minutes means the killer is probably being carried by their slowdowns. There's a certain point where you aren't getting downs fast enough and survivors should be winning.

It's not difficult at all? Maximum healing speed is capped so that no matter how nutty survivors go with healing perks and medkits, past a certain point they can't heal any faster. I don't see why the same shouldn't apply to gen speeds. Just cap maximum action speed slowdown. Forever builds have been an issue in the past and something's been changed every single time - Freddy, Doc, Freddy again...

I honestly don't know what to believe. There's a massive number of forum posts about solo-survivors suiciding on hook and DCing but I've also been told by forum goers that there's no problem with solo-queue. Then there's the streamers who are saying solo-queue is a mess.

I didn't say it was difficult, I asked how it would be done.

The game doesn't communicate that there are speed caps, so I didn't know. It's a solution, but the game should probably inform you on hard caps or just be designed around them.

That's cool. I wasn't arguing that slowdowns shouldn't be addressed nor that they were never changed, thanks for the additional information though.

From my experience since the Update it's Survivors that are just afraid of doing gens, they rather do dumb ######### and try to get YT montage clips than actually playing. I just had people doing rescues in the face of a NURSE WITH STARSTRUCK....

Î had a match against Dying Light Legion and it went fine, we did do gens and 3 got out. So it's simply a matter of Survivors playing decently at the very least.

10 seconds per gen is nothing when all the Overused Regression/Slowdown Perks got nerfed. Ruin is even more of a joke, i honestly don't understand why it's still a Perk in the game and how some people still freaking use it, Pop got changed, Pain Res got changed, Overcharge got changed, Corrupt now deactivates on early downs so there's even the case where taking an early down might be detrimental for the killer.

Jolt got the cooldown removed but if you're getting that much value out of Jolt then survivors are definetly doing something very wrong.

Prove Thyself is rather simple to get, just play Dwight, there's an added bonus of Dwight also having Bond so you know where teammates are, that way you can go to their gen and use provethyself to boost the gen speed.

People are failling at doing gens because they want to.

“wE reDuCEd teH GrINd” - BHVR. I guess they want to ignore the fact that with the new patch, matches are taking a lot longer, so you’re spending a lot more time playing the game to earn those BP.

I’ve posted a lot about this already, but I can’t emphasize enough how frustrating it has been to not have bonus BP from BBQ/WGLF anymore. Spending 20 minutes or more in a match to earn enough BP to buy a few worthless items and add-ons from the bloodwebs has been incredibly demotivating.

I don't disagree with you, but there are ways to speed up repairing gens, and speed up the game for bit. Personally I've noticed that though they only added 10 seconds to finish repairing a gen, some team members seem to be allergic to them. So, I like to run perks like Fast Track, Better Together, Overzealous, and maybe Resilience or Prove Thyself, and just be a gen jockey whenever I can.
