Dead Hardy Tome Challenge
Tomb 2, level I challenge
"Use Dead Hard to avoid a basic attack by a near killer 1 time(s)"
With the new update 6.1.0, any idea on how to complete this? My guess I need to spin and DH at the same time, and hope the killer misses during the 0.5 second window. It does NOT complete it taking the hit. I have tried it with OTR, but since endurances don't stack I am expecting the same results with MOM.
BTW the DH animation is so hilarious! Why is the animation so slow?

You don't need to use DH to avoid the hit unless I'm mistaken, you just need it equipped
Spinning the killer, vaulting a window or jumping in a locker should work just fine

I got it! Made the killer miss while they were caring a survivor, and it was after I already got hit using DH in that scenario. Thank you.

They are probably not made by the same people who also balance the game.

The DH-Challenges obviously need changes now. Surviving while only using Dead Hard would be another one which is not really appropiate.

Considering they didn't seem to see a problem with "survive with only No Mither", I don't expect that one to get changed...
But this one definitely should be changed so that the goal is to take an endurance hit with Dead Hard, not to dodge a hit.

It's perfectly doable, just harder. It's in one of the later tomes for a reason.

Yeah, but you also have to consider that Tome-Challenges for Survivors are basically almost always "Do something else than Gens", while Killer Challenges are for the most part "Play the game".
Considering that we know still have a Slowdown-Meta and Killer got a massive Buff, Challenges which force you to use a weak Perk only should not be the case anymore.

I mean, it's probably meant to be that way. Completely altering your playstyle when playing killer is way harder considering you will not have 3 other people to split your objective with. For instance: The twins challenge where you had to get a hit from 12 meters away was absolutely painful because usually you don't go for long hits with Victor, so you were basically required to throw the game to get it. With the "dead hard only" challenge at the very least you may rely on not having potato teammates SOMETIMES.

As much as I disagree that new dead hard is bad, I do think its very annoying for time challenges to force a build on to you as suivir, since survivors don't have powers and the only fun thing is what build you are running, essentially forcing you to play in a tedious way just to get a challenge done, that needs to be changed.

Yeah, challenges that require you to "Do X with Perk Y" work always like that, you simply need to do the thing while the perk is equipped, you don't actually need to use that perk
