Survivor matches this 2022/07/27
I've kept track of my survivor games, just to see how good or bad it was now.
Doctor: tunneling and camping, the team didn't play smart : 3 dead
Bubba: nice match, only camped at the end, team was OK : 2 dead
Bubba: utterly incompetent but with red addons and a very stupid team : take a guess
Nurse: not too good and with strong addons (range + cooldown), the game was over the moment the Steve refused to be healed or heal to run to her. That was basically throwing. The other players were good enough.
Trickster: pretty bad, NOED and Mori, didn't helped him much. I took protection and died for the team (and in insight, I could have done better) : 1 dead
Bubba: beginner, managed to get three downs but then never caught anybody anymore. At least one of team was pretty green : 0 dead
Dredge: average, great team (during a Nightfall chase, the Leon used his flashlight to guide me towards a pallet which allowed me to last a good while more) : 0 dead
Nemesis: utter beginner, blind and deaf but I was with 3 idiots. The first one killed himself on hook, the second one held me down healing with a zombie close which forced me to accelerate and waste my exhaustion, right in time to get stuck with the killer. It probably didn't end well : I didn't wait for them in the lobby.
Dredge: no idea, the team was so bad we died at 4 gens. (Again with a survivor holding the heal while the killer is incoming ... is it stupidity or trolling?)
Four nice games, five bad ones and every time because of the other survivors' misplays.

Do Bubba's pink add ons really magically make it so an incompetent killer slays? I might need to look into those... Ha ha ha... I never heard about them so I figured they were Freddy tier.

my matches were all 3 slowdowns, gens stay at 3 or 4 forever

No, not at all. But I've got a few years in the game : I can see when a player, be it survivor or killer, isn't very good. Inexperienced if you will.
I thought the addons were notable because it's kind of a waste on someone who clearly couldn't use them properly. It was also more an indication of the team being bad enough to die against a new killer. In a nutshell I was playing both with and against beginners.
edit: typos

There were two or three slowdowns in that bunch (Thana, Overcharge, Call of Brine and even one ruin). The slowdown effect wasn't significant enough to mention it (we either won, either were killed by "our" own incompetence)

The Leon using his flashlight during Dredge's nightfall is actually really damn clever. I'll have to keep this in mind.
I hope your games start to go better. I imagine a lot of people are still getting used to the changes and running new off-meta perks. Hope it's not getting you down too bad.
I know a lot of people are throwing, too.

It's not getting me down at all. I thought about 50% of good games on solo queue was pretty good.
There were "only" two throwers too.
If I recall, there was also only one killer who played in an annoying way (and none of the Bubbas). And I don't particularly mind tunneling and camping. The way I see it, our team didn't handle it properly.

Yeah, the guy clearly knew what he was doing. The team handled everything like pros.

This kind of matches my thinking in general that regardless of the loadouts and the buffs in the patch ultimately if the survivors play well they’ll still probably win (0-1 kills) and if they mess up they’ll probably lose (3-4 kills).

My matches yesterday and today: camping and tunneling consecutively. Mostly Nurse, Blight and Spirit. Great game...

It seems like it, yes.
From the killer's point of view, the teams that have lost against me have all made giant blunders.
In one of tonight's matches, one team had 2 good players, one decent (or unlucky) one and one rage-quitter (just one tonight). It's a pity because they were doing well. Great jukes and good progress. I gave hatch, obviously, but being betrayed that way by a teammate is awful.

Who the hell is camping as a nurse or blight? Dude, what mmr are you playing at?
I'm sorry but this is really an alien stuff to me. You're playing against baby's then, I can't imagine otherwise, if you having a camping nurse or blight. -_-

I have had 2 out of 6 matches today where someone disconnected, and another 2 where people tried to suicide on hook. The kicker? The DC's were against a Myers and Ghostface who had no add-ons, did not camp or tunnel, and ran fairly balanced perks (Thrilling Tremors, I'm All Ears, BBQ, etc.) Both times, 1 or more gens had been finished, and they were on their first down.
This legitimately tilted me, and it cost my team both matches (the suicides were thankfully stopped by other teammates). I see people complaining about Nurse, Blight, and thana Legion, but no add-on Myers? Seriously?

If a game is causing you problems with mental health stopping playing video games and seeing a therapist to get your mental balance back on track might be a good idea.

the MMR is screwing everyone, good and bad players, not sure why they aren't fixing it asap

Apparently, your "baby" Nurse and Blight have 3000+ hrs in the game with full perks and add-ons. That you don't see doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Good for you not to have that experience.
Also, low MMR Nurse or Blight won't be a problem if they camp. But what I found are those who know how to play, but still camp and tunnel.

I don't have a play-by-play, but I can say I played 12 matches with various killers. I didn't tunnel or camp and I ran 0 - 1 slowdown/regression perks each game:
- All five gens were completed in every match except one
- There were zero 4Ks, multiple 0Ks, an average hook count of 4.5, and an average kill rate of 1.25
- Circle of Healing was present in half of the matches (though not when I was playing Plague or Leatherface, sadly)
- There were zero disconnects and nobody threw the game by just giving up or sabotaging their team mates
All told: Pretty crummy time for the killer and pretty successful games for the survivor team!
I don't know for sure that I didn't just go up against non-stop SWF groups, but I don't think that was the case. So, Solo Q isn't quite as 'impossible to win with' as some folks seem to think.
And when survivors are asking themselves: why do killers do XYZ? Well, this is your answer.

What killer(s) did you use? If multiple, which ones would be the most successful and least successful ones?
