Does anyone else feel obligated to continue playing the game at the moment and not know why?
I'm wondering if this is just me because I'm genuinely convinced I'm insane. I play this game nearly every day when I have free time. Whenever I play it with friends or stream it I must sound miserable. I feel dejected and pessimistic about most matches as soon as they start. I slog through one match to the next and the next even when they go awful back to back. I'm clearly not enjoying myself most of the time but I just queue up for another game anyway.
Does anyone else feel like this? I feel like I can't quit the game for more than a week even if I want to.

Sunk cost and the fact that there aren't any alternatives is a killer.
Me and the boys have been playing Overwatch Comp over Survivor. That's how ######### our experience has been.

I am having way more fun playing LoL (one of the most toxic online games, generaly speaking). So that's that.
Okay, here is the quick rundown: Killers have bad que times and Solo Survivor is unfun mess.

It's sunk cost, but I'm actually so fed up right now that it outweighs the sunk cost and I'm just playing something else. I'm tired of dealing with all this. It's not fun.

Not really when there's so many other better games. I just don't believe in keeping yourself in a situation you don't like. So, no DBD or purchases for the time being. Currently on a fix of SMT Nocturne and GTA V.

If you ever need a great Primary or off- tank in your comp, hmu.

.......no. I'd just play something else.

bro we need dps and none of us are any good at ow

There is a habitual factor and an addiction factor. Don't blame yourself- it's about habit and addiction. Game makers, DBD included, are fully aware of this and depend/bank on it.
This isn't medical advice, but tbh if it's making you miserable the most effective way to treat it is to replace the addiction. I'm playing Stardew Valley LOL.
God my fall pumpkins are epic this year.

Shoot, I haven't played since the Anniversary remix, so i'm very rusty. I play DPS too, though I'm shook you say that because usually everyone wants to be the DPS in my games. That's actually part of the reason I fell back onto Tank. As long as you guys can fight and die for the objective then the rest don't matter to me 🙌

Its easy to do something you have done for a long time rather than do something new. We are basically our routines. Its hard to break habit but i know you dont enjoy playing the game atm so dont.
I suggest watching stranger things if you havent, i have been meaning to do that for a while now. And maybe come back after a month or 2 to read the patch notes and see if you wanna keep playing <3

ya like team fortress 2?

Thankfully no. I only play when I feel like it.

Nope sorry ive been having a blast playing more survivor than ever thanks to reduced queue times.

I'm not joking when I say DBD is the best (and by that I mean worst) Stockholm Syndrome Simulator ever. I should have ditched this game back when SBMM was introduced but here I am, still playing at least Killer now with SoloQ dead and buried. If you can get out do it now.

that is low, my friend

I'm obligated to play the game now so I can remember in the future how this game felt now. Things are gonna change and then I can be like, "At least it's not as bad as back then" or "Things were so much better back then."

Even Overwatch has a more diverse meta than this game.

No, I gave the stuff the old college try knowing I wouldn't like it twice(multi hour sessions) and saw exactly what I expected aswell as a much worse grind for those that play just one or two characters.
Only things that will get me motivated to play much outside a few reverts are my friend who also doesn't like the changes or a damn good Dwight cosmetic to meme with(please release that snazzy suit or one based off that joke emperor dwight tomb lore)

Felt like it for years, Found a boyfriend
I don't care about the game anymore, as there is something way more important than that
Though, 6.1.0 didn't help ngl

Not me it's been pretty dull
I've just been playing call of duty zombies because the game is boring after like an hour and atleast zombies is enjoyable

If I ever feel bored, I swap to Evil Dead: The Game.
Arthur may just be a worse Warrior, but he looks better than all the Warriors combined

I've definitely looked at the list of games I have on steam and have never played, started a couple these past few days, haha.
I still play survivor when my friend wants to, but not as much right now.

I love Stardew Valley! It's been one of the few other games I've been playing recently. I need to get back into it properly again.

If you liked that, you might like My Time at Portia on Steam. It's another happy little game but the art/graphics are nicer.

No. I usually play until I hit the bloodpoint cap. I'll stop playing until a new chapter or event.
I'll only log in for shrine perks or codes. Until then it's back to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

It really is, isn't it? I have the worst love-hate relationship with this game possible. I keep wanting to come back even though I know I'm not gonna have a good time. I'm still playing solo queue even though it's the worst it's ever been lol

I'll check it out, thank you.

Sounds like you could use a break. Just intentionally don't play for a week, play other games. Either you'll come back later and feel better about it or you'll extend your break because you found a game you're enjoying more.
1 -
No. If you're not enjoying a game then play something else.

Too addicted to quit and no other alternatives.
If they stopped making exclusives I'd take a break for sure.

I understand that, been there myself a couple of times because of the money and time (4k hrs currently) i spent on this game.
With this patch however it isn't like that thankfully. Uninstalling and not looking back wasn't an issue, that's how bad it is.
2 -
No, I enjoy this game.
I do not enjoy the people giving up all the time regardless of what role i play, but that doesnt detract from the fact that I think the game is fun.

Not at all. But I understand why one might feel like it. Lack of alternatives, love-hate relationship, sunk cost fallacy, or even straight-up addiction. All very human things in nature.
Personally, I haven't played since the end of January. Just briefly logged in a few days ago to claim the free charm. But I still enjoy the forum. You really get to see some stunning pieces of hilarious delusions. They're definitely more amusing than the game is now. Which, ok, isn't exactly a tall order, but still, maybe the a good first step to stop playing.

I just recently reinstalled Apex to not play DbD. Devs actually dont deserve any players playing this game at the moment until they fix their mess again. And i dont want to play just out of habit anymore.

Play Hunt Showdown :)
There is a nice Event right now
