Blight too strong, Solo too weak -> my temporary solution
Dear Blights. With the recent killer buffs and ability to quickly switch builds I propose we all collectively stop sweating and running meta slowdown builds when you see solos in your lobby and switch to meme build.
Placebo Tablet is mandatory. It makes you slower, but gives you more BP, so even if a few survive, you haven't lost much.
Disclaimer: proposal not applicable to SWF lobbies.
Here is my build. Spies from the Shadows is really fun and no one expects it 😃

at this point i wonder what's the killer meta, you know? everything that could be useful was heavily nerfed and honestly i don't consider CoB and Overcharge meta for the simple fact that if people are able to hit great skillchecks those 2 perks are essentially useless

Discordance and Lethal Pursuer are meta depending on the Killer.
Discordance on Killers without good Aura-reading Add-Ons, and Lethal for the Killers with.
For slowdown, probably passive ones, Jolt, PR, maybe even Deadlock

The killer meta is the same perks but with different names. It has not changed at all.

Yes, CoB and Overcharge are meta. They are not useless if you are defending an area by planning your 3 gen from the start. Survivors know how quickly those gens lose progress, so they will often risk touching those gens even when not safe. And matches where all 4 survivors can hit great skill checks all the time are very rare. It's very funny when they try to stop regression by quick tap and have it blow in their face 😂
Also, Eruption and Pain Resonance.
Just had second match with same build and same result. Come on, just give this meme build a try and I promise you will have a lot of fun with it and will gain a lot of BP😀

Yes, Discordance is great on Stealth killers.

Thank you!

Yep, you can JUST plan a 3-gen from that start and everything will turn out peachy!
2 -
Yes, not sure if sarcasm. Most of the time it's peachy.

Killswitch Nurse&Blight for the lols
2 -
I'm sure you are not alone wishing for that. But I think this would drown BHVR in tears 😂

It's sarcasm, dude. Y'all make killer sound so easy, especially when it comes to 3-genning, like it's a guaranteed thing. Killer was not easy before this patch, and this recent patch is anything but game changing. It's a step in the right direction, but hear it from anyone else and you'd think the game had been flipped on its head.
When I hear y'all talk about "you SIMPLY put someone on the scourge hook for FREE Pain Res regression" or "you JUST create a deadzone so you can 3-gen", it's like we're playing different games, and I can't help but poke fun at it. It's so silly, the way y'all talk about killer and the words that you use to do it.

There is no way to tell if they are solo ow SWF.

Dear Blight and Nurse mains: Go as hard as you can, so you can be balanced accordingly.

I feel like on PC there is a way. Perhaps not on other platforms. Players appear in lobby sequentially when solos, but swf appear all practically simultaneously. You can also check their profile if they are on Steam. Another hint is if they are wildly different in prestige: for example one could have no prestige, while another one is 10. SWF are usually similar in prestige level in my experience.
Of course, none of that is fool proof, but more like gambling. You make your best bet if they are SWF or not.

The problem with current gen regression meta and high mobility killers is mostly lack of information in solo q. There is no balancing it without giving solos some communication tools and BHVR already said that they will do it soon(tm).

How the hell did you win with placebo tablet

"BHVR already said that they will do it soon"
Well, that should be interesting, and, pick one of:
- Fun
- Useful
- Degrading to the SoloQ player getting bossed by overly-intense SWF'ers
I was mostly joking on choice #3. I'm on soloQ when I play survivor and look forward to having a tool to interact with other queued survivors when not invited to their comms (which is 99.999% of the time).

Solos + 3 gen planned from the start. Also, that 15% lower speed comes with 15% sharper curves and survivors just don't expect that.

It's not like anyone will give your orders. It's most likely going to be limited to status effects like "Working on gen", "in chase", etc. This is not nearly enough of a buff, IMHO. So, I think it's just going to be option 2.

if you do a thing like this you'll still loose regardless how things will go... you can't do a 3 gen strat if all 4 survivors are still alive, and if you chase one of them in the beginning they can easily split the map in 2 by simply doing the gen at the center of the map, without mentioning that in certain maps is literally impossible to do this tactic (ormond and mother's dwelling are valid examples). those perks works marvelously aganist bad survivors, while good survivors will simply push through without much troubles

same perks with different names? make no sense what you wrote tbh since as far as i know perks weren't changed regarding their name (the last things that were changed were the demogorgon's perks alongside the ones that steve and nancy had and the most recent was monstrous shrine that was renamed "scourge hook: monstrous shrine")

It seemed to have made sense with everyone else.
It's probably a you problem.

i doubt it... also if you intended the old perks well, they were nerfed so hard that now they are pointless (ruin is useless and undying it's not worth it unless you are doing a totem build. pop isn't worth it since they can easily finish the gen under your nose if you want to gain the maximun efficiency. bbq was used mostly for the bloodpoints bonus, now it's out of meta cause it will be useful only with high mobility killers)

Just to be clear, we are talking about Blight and solos here. Of course you need all your meta against coordinated SWF. So, let's take your example of Ormond. While difficult, not impossible to plan 3 gen from the start. I usually ignore shack gen, unless it spawns outside of shack. And the one in the corner opposite of shack, unless it spawns 2 gens not far from each other. If there are 2 in that area, than entire top side, the one with the plow, can be defended well.
And the center needs to be defended most importantly. And with a lot of straight corridors in main building, it's not that difficult with Blight.
I'll follow into the area outside of my defense only if I know I can get survivor in unsafe area. If he gets to a loop, I drop chase. Solos don't know when I drop chase, so it's often unexpected when I come back.
If you just want simplicity, the easiest 3 gen on Ormond is the line starting from center gen, then the plow gen, then the one in the corner after plow.

Yeah, for me the meta with m1 killers are 2 chase perks (Save the best, Bambozzle, Brutal, Enduring, Spirit Fury...) + 2 passive slowdows (jolt and Pain resonace for me)
