Pop is still super good (proving it with match)

So let's say that u ended a chase, a gen poped (4 gens left), u hooked the person and now u have pop available, the most advanced gen should at least be 50%, now let's put some match here.

20% out of a 50% gen would be 10% + the 2.5%, that's a 12.5% regression with is super good, it's buying u 11.25 seconds, the old pop by kick would be buying u 20 seconds. 11 seconds (worst case) is already pretty good.

But let's say that the gen is 75%. Well then it's a 17.5% reduction, that's pretty significant, that's buying u 16 seconds, that's pretty big + the regression (almost as good as the old pop)

Now best in the best case, a 99% gen (with believe or not happens alot), that's a 22.3% regression buying u 20 seconds (as good as the old pop).

people don't take in consideration the extra 10 seconds on gens, and how much it affects % out of gens. And even then u can pair pop with other strong gen slowdown perks, as Thana that would make so ur 20 seconds now takes even longer to be done again 22% slower + the 10 seconds on gens. Or pair pop with dead lock, so u have basically a guaranteed pop + the information of what's the most advanced gen + 30 seconds of gen block.

The only perk I don't think that goes that well with pop anymore is pain resonance, cause it would be making ur pop weaker, since it remover 15% even before u kick it (but still 30% progress that would be removed in average). Pop doesn't have the rng that scourge hooks have, and give u a relatable way to controll gens. Keep using it, it's still a amazing perk.

(So i don't know why but my other discussion talking about this was deleted)

When playing with pop i dont feel the regression, its feels that the gen didnt get affected, maybe because im used to the flat 25% regression, i'll probably never use it again

You have to think twice before popping a gen now. Which is good. Sadly the timer is a bit too short to get a use of it most times if you don’t kick the first gen you get to. Maybe the timer should be increased to 60 seconds again.

And I’m saying this as a solo q main :(

Pop is garbage now. You have to factor in the time it takes for the killer to walk up to the generator, kick the generator, then walk back.

Base gen regression is still only 25% of survivor's repair speed, so unless you're using call of brine, or call of brine combined with overcharge, it's still often not worth kicking generators.

Old pop gave you 20sec no matter what (except the gens done less than 20%). 22,5sec on new gen times, fyi.

New pop gives you, on a 99% gen:

    Progress: 90sec*0,99 = 89,1sec

    Regress: 89,1sec*0,2 = 17,1sec

    Plus built-in "pop" kick

    90*0,025 = 2,25 sec

At BEST it gives you 19,35sec worth of regress. (Remember pop with new gen times would be still 22,5)

Now let's see the "worst" case, a gen with for example 10% progress.

    Old: Flat 8sec.

    New:

    Progress: 90sec*0,1 = 9sec

    Regress:. 9sec*0,2 = 1,8sec

    Plus kick: 4,05sec.

50% value and even that only thanks to the flat kick bonus.

On any gen between 20 and 80% (5,85sec-16,65sec regress, calculated with the new 90sec gen) pop got nerfed between 10-75% depending on the state of the gen.

And sorry but if i have to walk twice or thrice the time it takes of the gen to even find the damn thing then i would say the perk is rightfully dead.

I wasn't using pop before I'm sure not gonna use it now

It was overrated back when it was technically viable against baby survivors. I can run no regression and 4k. That does not "prove" anything.
