Buff Mettle of Man

fun fact, when mettle of man changed from basic attacks to protection hits, Safe unhooks used to count towards building up the perk. It was changed in PTB.

unsure. I only played with it for like 3 games in PTB. its main complaint was that survivor could purpose hook bomb hooks. basically if a survivor just charges to the hook, if you hit them during unhook animation, you would get stack of mettle of man and safe unhook would give you another stack of mettle of man.

with 2 stacks, the next time a killer would hook someone, you could just purposely bodyblock the hook to activate mettle of man. The killer would be punished for defending hooks. Like even though the survivor is standing like 10 feet in front of you, it would be detriment to hit them.

I would say it would been better if they removed protection hits and kept safe unhooks because current MoM forces you to practically throw games to activate its effect. with that being said, its a lot easier to activate now because of OTR. you can get healed and bodyblock the hook 2 times when killer pick up a survivor and walks to the hook then just do same hook bomb when healthy with borrow time that i talked about in paragraph 1. More of than not, you can bait the killer into purposely following you and hitting you just as you unhook. Its still large time sink that make your team waste time healing you instead of doing core objective which is gens.
