I agree with the statement but maybe not for the reason implied by the replies. I think survivors who aggressively try to take hits with Off the Record are not using the perk as effectively as it could be, especially if the body block wasn't actually necessary to save someone from dying for instance. Using it for a random body block is giving up an opportunity you had to gain a lot of distance while also having good stealth effects so you could potentially get healed up and/or start working on a generator far away from the killer. Plus once you take the body block hit if you are still took close to the killer afterward they absolutely know you don't have Endurance now and can safely down you again. And even if they don't chase you afterward you still lose time having to Mend.
So I agree with the statement that if you're body blocking with Off the Record without being really mindful about why and when you do it it's probably not the best play.

I've said it before and I'll say it again and I might even say it a third time!
If I am going after the unhooker and you specifically get in my way in that process, I am now coming after you. I had a different target in mind so I wouldn't punish you for your teammates greedy stupid unsafe unhooking and "tunnel" you but if you insist on being my target, who am I to tell you that you can't be?

Wrong. I won't speak for OP, but off the record is designed to keep you from being tunneled. If you want to use it offensively like the old BT body blocks, don't be surprised if you get tunneled or prioritized for the tactic. You have a right to play however you see fit, but if I suspect you're playing dirty I'm happy to return the favor.

Kinda fun how killer try to justify anything that's in their favor, and deem anything else as toxic. Society loses all kind of ethics for as long as it benefits themselves.

Yeah, I mean if you are going out of your way to not do thing survs don't want you to do (tunneling), and a surv tries to keep you from doing so, what incentive do you have to keep considering the surv's "fun"?
Even when not camping, killers can defend hooks and aren't obligated in any way to allow a safe unhook and to give the unhooker a head start away.
I don't tunnel and camp as a practice, but if you want to have your cake and eat it too, I'm not down for that. I'll only tie one of my own hands behind my back out of charity, thanks.
If a surv has endurance and wants to draw aggro, they shouldn't get bootyhurt when they get what they asked for.
And to the OP's other point, survs should also understand coordinating outfits (especially if it's all 4) is surrendering any right to complain about tunneling.

Nah, complaining about tunneling so you can get a a perk that protects you from tunneling then turning around and using it offensively. Is it wrong? No. But it's gonna get punished by the killer (also not wrong, perfectly within their rights).

I get what they're saying. I had a game earlier where I was splitting the hooks, I hook a Jill and she hits stage 2 before getting unhooked by the guy I was chasing. I ignored her and downed him and she flashlight saves as I pick him up. I obviously downed her and hooked her after that. Not the smartest move for someone injured on death hook.

I always find it kind of situational. Like, if the killer is about to get their second hook at 2 gens left and the first guy they hooked runs in for some good old-fashioned hook denial, they deserve what's coming to them. But when the situation gets desperate and the whole team is hook trading in a futile bid for a reset, you can't blame anyone for using everything at their disposal. Context matters.
But yeah, you can't get surprised when you run in front of the killer to tank a hit and the killer decides to commit. You very literally asked for it.

I don't mind tunneling. I just try not to do it if it's not necessary. And what do they do when I try to go around for their (full health) rescuer? They get in the way, block a passage ...
Of course I'll put them down. I was almost expecting a DS but no.

Agreed. There are obviously times where it's a better choice. It wasn't ever the case here. What they did was always detrimental to their team.
All appropriate moves against a camper, but it wasn't the case anyway. They did heal under the hook though. Another bad idea when the killer has high mobility.

See I don't care if they do that because I started using Forced Penance with Sloppy Butcher and making them regret even thinking to do a protection hit....now if I threw in Thanto into the mix I would just be mean and no one deserves that....unless your a Bully Squad...then all niceness is out the window and Sweat Mode is active

Had a killer who was going for my unhooker choose to tunnel me instead because they thought I was trying to body block. Unfortunately, we were in a hallway and I couldn't avoid unintentional bodyblocking lmao. Makes me feel like they should just remove collision while you have endurance.

I don't think taking a protection hit is toxic, nor should it be taken as such.
The same way that someone bringing a flashlight doesn't mean they are toxic.
If a killer is not willing to accept a 5 seconds delay in their chase for the unhooker, and tunnels, it's more lazy of them than anything.

It made more sense previously tanking a hit with BT because switching to you carried a risk of eating a 5 second DS and getting nowhere.
If a killer isn't actively tunnelling you now, encouraging them to might not be the best play.

I can't speak for every killer obviously but I'd likely not "count" that as you trying to get in my way personally. I've had situations as a killer where I hit the unhooked by mistake (usually the stupid auto aim dressing thing) and I'd let them go.
I'm talking about the survivors who get in your way and just stand there or in one case, a survivor I went around chasing someone at a L and the unhooked went around the L and crouched to make sure I'd get stuck on them instead of letting me continue my chase. Those are the survivors I decide are now going to be "tunneled" by me.

I don't think someone using an Endurance effect to body block for their unhooking teammate is "toxic". Like, that's just the smart play. You don't lose a health state, they don't lose a health state, I go into my melee swing cooldown.
It's the smart thing to do, and it's the appreciative thing to do for someone taking a risk to get you unhooked, especially if it saves you from passing into Phase 2 on your first hook.
*That being said*
It's also the smart play for me to just continue after the person who just wasted their endurance and just hook them again, and that should not be seen as "toxic" or "tunneling" either.

It all goes under the same plays of attempting to stop my downs/hooks. Flashlight saves, sabos, bodyblocks, etc. I don't view it as toxic in any way, really not even dirty play, but you absolutely will make yourself a target if you have any success with it. I'll play nice to a point, but if you are shutting down my hooks, I gotta put an end to that.
