Mettle of Man: AKA Salt on the Wound

I understand the desire to have Mettle of Man in-line with other endurance perks. But since it can't be used in tandem with Dead Hard, Off the Record, etc. It will be further drowned out by these perks.
The best use case for current Mettle of Man is to stage a protection hit mid-match so that you can take two protection hits to make an end-game save (in case you need to).
Usually when survivors go for a late game save at least two are in game and not on hook. This can only occur when the survivor team is ahead and someone gets hooked, so the killer camps to turn the match around. This situation is rare.
Now that Mettle of Man can't stack with endurance it's useless.
I recommend making one of two changes:
A) Changing the required protection hits to one. Since conspicuous actions end the endurance, this makes sense and should put this in a similar vein to Off the Record. This would make Mettle of Man an anti-tunnel perk. If you see a teammate being tunneled out of the game you can now take two protection hits for them. If this would be problematic it could be gated with a token system. (Gain a token just like We're Gonna Live Forever, gets spent on the protection hit to gain endurance).
Or
B) Rename the perk to "Salt on the Wound" because that's what nerfing an out of meta perk is.

Honestly if they took the conspicuous actions away it could be an anti camping perk, but since unhooking is a conspicuous action there's instead NO counter for camping instead of just ignoring the poor player on the hook and gen rushing instead. I mean honestly what is the point in playing solo q anymore.

Good point :)

Alternatively they could make it stay at 2 protection hits, but if the protection hit that activates the perk would have downed you (you took a hit while injured) the perk instantly protects you. That way if you want to "bank" the use for later you still have to heal up and go take another hit, but the perk can be used to take 2 hits for someone as well.

I would make a very simple change in the mettle of man:
keep it the way it was with 3 protection hits and unpunished endurance
I would add a simple buff;
If you are the first surv in the game to receive a hit from the killer even though you are not protection, you get a point for the perk
If you're the obsession, you get a point when you get a hit from the assassin for the first time even if it's not protection
the other hits will have to be protection normally, I think that would make the perk more interesting to use

They shouldn't do that. Would make it way too consistent for survivors to body block killers trying to hook a survivor. Would basically force Mad Grit or Starstruck to be meta on killers just to ignore that.

They could have removed the conspicuous action punishment if you are the obsession, so only a surv has that advantage, the same could be done with Ds for example

lets be honest they could of just reworked MoM into something completely different and it would be better than their changes

They don't want that, they even said on the RE live that they prefer something different to the game, that is, they know how to fix things, but they don't fix it because they don't want to
