Shrine of Secrets changes are bad.
How in the world did it make sense to INCREASE needed shards to 2,000 from 1,500? Especially after several months ago BHVR DID decrease required shards from 2,000 to 1,500. This was a good change and a much-needed start to making that trade fairer. SURE no one is forcing you to do it but are more options ever a bad thing? No.
So they not only reverted it. They also decreased BP from 150k to 100k? Dude, in the past it was hard to justify me using the Shrine for BP but now it's impossible. That is in no way worth it.
Honestly, you should be able to exchange 1,000 shards for 200,000 BP and thats a LOW estimate because earning that many shards is still a big grind.
Before I was just blowing my shards on BP to reduce the grind but now the gain is just so small I can't possibly justify it. Now the only thing to do is BUY DLC which wouldn't you rather I be spending REAL money on?
This was a mistake.

Like seriously the only positive change with this is I'm holding onto my shards now to buy cosmetics and DLCs. So it's gonna hurt their pocket

Exactly, I don't wanna put my foot in my mouth here either but it's also dumb on their part because they upped the daily bonus XP recently so getting shards is technically even faster now than it used to be. Watch them revert that...
Get shards faster
MASSIVELY give incentive to NOT use them to get BP by changing the values to be terrible
Rift provides plenty of cosmetics as it is.
What's left? Spend on DLC instead of real money....
I'd gladly blow all my shards on BP if I could.

Unless I missed something, the shards required were always 2000 and only went to 1500 during anniversary event. That’s never changed so why would it now? What I dont agree with is the reduction from 150k to 100k bloodpoints though. That was bs

.......it's been 2000 shards for, I mean, since I've started playing with is awhile ago. The only 1500 I know of was during a special event with discounted pricing.

I regret buying anything killer related from that shrine. Survivor, well, I kind of had to. I ain't buying no 5 dollar skin.

On its face it looks bad, but with the new prestige system I feel like people need to use the shrine less? That's just my perspective, and I'm looking at this from the perspective of someone who already has all the perks, so the SoS has been kinda dead to me for a long while.
Also, the conversion rate on shard>BP via the shrine has always been terrible, I can rack up a mil to 1.5 mil BP (at least) in the time it takes to earn 2.7K iri shards. But we're supposed to see some value in trading that many shards for like 1/10th of that? Not remotely. Shards=time, and time is the scarcest currency.
And I like cosmetics, but don't much like spending $15 on an outfit, so the shards are of value to me.
I really wish there was some way to earn more shards via challenges or the like, or the option to trade BP for shards.

If that was the case I think they forgot to reset it for a long time. It was only after the prestige update that it went back to 2,000. I feel like I bought 7-8 times at 1,500.
Either way, it doesn't change my point. The trade off was always immensely unfair. Now it's even more ridiculous. 7 level ups for the highest amount of shards to be traded in for BP that you can ultimately get in...a SINGLE match?

The Shrine is a super outdated idea in general. It doesn't seem that practical now that there is a huge amount of characters and perks in the game.
I am a person who buys all DLC but I can't ever see myself using the Shrine for actually buying a perk even if I wasn't. If there is a perk you want. Odds are it will take forever to show up anyways so you might as well just save and BUY the entire character and their 3 perks instead.
A company incentivizing me NOT spending real money. I don't think they've realized they've done this.

Well they increased it because once you buy it it unlocks for everyone so for that feature it's 500 more....but in all honesty the shrine will only have may one thing if any I want
