Can Devs do something about Legion stacking slowdowns?
I though they wanted to encourage players to use “Different Builds?”
Thana, Gift of Pain, Overcharge & Call of Brine. Jesus Christ, Do Legion players get sick of Really Long games? Because I know I do.
I really don’t even know why I keep on trying to even escape those games. ITS IMPOSSIBLE and Disgusting.
Mend, Work on Gen, Killer chases you off with power, You have to go mend, go back to gen. Gen now lost 30%. Work on Gen again, killer comes and chases you off, Go mend again. Teammate is down. Go save them. Go back to Gen. Gen is destroyed. SERIOUSLY #########!
If you think this is somehow “fine” you are a problem.
This is probably the worst and most boring thing to face in Dead by Daylight. If you thought Nurse, Blight, Twins or Artist were boring to face, think again.
At least those killers actually make the game progress faster.

They also stack hindrances and debuffs to the point you have like five status effects pop up the moment you get hit. It seems to be done deliberately to make the game unenjoyable for the other side. In solo queue, I've only been a part of five matches where the killer did a Fearmonger/Third Seal/Knockout/etc. build to slug all four survivors without hooking. Legion was the killer in four of these matches. It's one thing to play solo queue and lose consistently, but it's another when that's the role that doesn't get any help to fend against unfun mechanics and playstyles. Legion builds take advantage of this "it's all for me, none for you" mentality better than any other killer.

Do Killers really need 4 slowdowns? Seems like overkill to me.

You should be able to prevent Generators with perks. The issue comes from stacking.
This is why I still think choice restrictions would work. Also would allow you to buff perks individually bevause the combo isn't an issue anymore.

Is it boring? Absolutely yes, is it non original? Yes absolutely, but what else can legion do? They are a meme killer, they have no real power if the survivors are at the very least decent, and as much as I am for teaching people to not pick m1 jokes, it seems its the only thing that can make legion a threat, with that being said If the devs make it so that legion is way worse, im all for it.
People should learn to play good killers, if people drop the joke thats legion and play something good, imo its a good change.

I personally think they should make the Pills and Mural Sketch basekit. They're slow at the start but the snowball is INSANE! Slowdowns are so last year.

I laugh everytime I see people trying to slow the game down and then when you run them you can clearly see why.
The devs do be handing out hands for players to hold. It fascinates me how they don't understand in 2022 the effect of buffing specific perks will have on certain killers like Legion. He is just boring to go against at this point.

Im really think of this. 4x 2nd chances was a problem , though because survivors can exploit them, DS in end game, BT body block, DH its own. Most of them are gone, so survivors have to use something else, which is good.
The meta shacking for survivors have to face is just 4 different slow down.

Then why have perks at all? Slowdown meta was hit so hard, that there isn´t really anything left that gives the killer more than a couple seconds of extra time.
It appears, that maps are getting downsized again. At least the new RE maps. Maybe its a upcoming trend for the other maps as well.

Its been discussed before, but essentially time management has different value ratios over the course of the match, with survivors having the most value early due to having peak efficiency. The more their efficiency drops (which happens each interaction, gens popping, resources used, etc,) the more time becomes in favor of the killer. This is the entire crux of the slowdown dependency on the killer side in DBD, you need to minimize as much damage as survivors can do at their strongest, while building up your advantage as they get weaker. Its also why tunneling and camping will never go away until that disparity is addressed.
Ironically I think the thana change was a really bad attempt at trying to address that. It lines up with how they've changed others like ruin and corrupt, making them get considerably weaker as soon as that efficiency gets hardcapped at 75% on the survivor side. I think all of them weren't very good attempts at fixing the issue (especially the thana last second change) but I like to give myself hope they at least realize how many things that one issue affects about how people prioritize early game tactics for killers, and late game tactics for survivors. They need to slow down early game while having ways to lessen how harsh the hardcap can be lategame. Otherwise everything will just keep shifting around their changes with the same core mindsets and strategies continuing to fester.

Honestly it was only half the issue, and they couldn't think of a counterbalance for it. If all you do is slow down survivor early game, you make it that much harder for them to make comeback attempts lategame. It feels weird to even say due to how skewed it is currently, but changes like that need to be both impactful but also have an impactful counterbalance for survivors. Because currently the dynamic shift does have an answer from killers, but its the one that most people hate in the game. They just need to actually find a way to make both sides have an even chance overall (read: not in individual interactions) which stays consistent from start to finish. Neither side wants to ever feel helpless, nor should they.

They just announced a big nerf to Thanatophobia. Even Legion using the perk is going to be impacted by that. At the very least, best case assuming Legion plays perfectly, the cap at four survivors alive is now 20% instead of 22% and once a survivor is eliminated the cap is now 6% instead of 16.5%. So even if every survivor just stays injured the whole game against Legion the new version of the perk will still be weaker. And that’s the ideal scenario for the killer, what’s more likely is at least one of the survivors will be full health a lot of the game even against Legion and the penalty will be 6%.

They are making a calculated decision and are choosing to take a bet.
The bet is that between Thana, Gift of Pain, Penti and Plaything plus the constant mending from Filthy Blade and Mangled Pin; people would rather DC than sit in that game for 45 minutes while he stacks up BP.

but gift of pain only works after you heal. So..... don't heal. Which is something you do against Legion anyway. And Legions thing is injuring everyone quickly if they're dumb enough to group up, so no one is going to have the repair debuff for long anyway.
Its a waste of a perk slot on Legion.

Except, Thana makes people want to heal. Plaything makes people want to heal.

It is and very self defeating.
If you get a map like Dwelling or Garden, you're screwed. You lack information and have no help in chase (the latter being Legion's major weakness).

If something has to be done about Legion slowdown, please let it not be a Legion nerf. All-Slowdown is annoying on a lot of killers, and plenty of people play Legion with little to no slowdown.

Yeah if anything is overtuned don't resort to gutting Legion because he's not a powerhouse killer by any stretch

Against slightly competent survivors, yes they do. A survivor who knows even a bit of what they're doing will easily extend a chase to 40 seconds on average simply by predropping pallets and hoping from loop to loop, which gives the other 3 people plenty of time to tunnel gens.
I have no idea how people are complaining about freaking Legion of all killers. Anyone with two braincells to rub together will split up and deny their power, making them a simple M1 killer who needs to run every piece of furniture 2 times and break 5 pallets before getting even close to a hit.

well killers have only 4 perks they have the complete liberty to chose.
Survivors have 16 perks on 4 people in any configuration they desire.
So yes Killers can use anything they want.

Its not about Legion. All killers run the same slowdowns. Its like you play against the same killer every game now, cause it makes gameplay far too easy for killers.
