NEW KILLER PERK IDEA (FROM A SURVIVOR MAIN)

I like the idea of the Killer being able to sabotage a gen. So when the Killer kicks a gen, he sets a trap. The next Survivor who interacts with that gen suffers an injury and is put into the deep wound state.

To be clear, this idea just popped into my head, so I haven't put a ton of thought into exactly how it would work (by that I mean numbers). At first, I thought it might be best to lose a health state, but then it seemed OP to have an already injured Survivor be put into the dying state. Beyond that, losing a health state when you're healthy is actually a good thing for Survivors who like to run Resilience (me occasionally being one of them), and that would make gens go faster.

I could see Killers pairing this with other slowdown perks, and depending on that, the nature of the perk might have to be tweaked to avoid being too oppressive. And yes, this idea would've been more welcomed (less "That's OP!") before gen times got extended and the Thana buff (and nerf which still is a buff to Legion). But, since time and percentage figures like that can get tweaked again, I think it's an interesting option to explore for the future.

How would the Killer have this ability? (Insert Critical Drinker "Don't know!"). I mused over a token system or doing an action that involves the Obsession, plus a few other ideas. Anyway, that's my rough idea. Have a nice day, all.

    Something like this?

    • Deadly trap: Trap a Generator by performing the Damage Generator action. The next Survivor interacting with that Generator is faced with a tremendously difficult Skill Check. Failing the Skill Check results: Losing a health state if the survivor is healthy or putting in deep wound if the survivor is injured. Deadly trap has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.

    Similar! I was envisioning something that would be like Blast Mine, but for Killers. If a Survivor touches a gen while the trap is set, then they're automatically damaged. There's no avoiding it (so no skill check). I also mulled over the idea that instead of setting the trap by performing a damage action, the Killer could instead gain a token for an action with the Obsession. The gen with the most progress would then automatically get a trap set by the Entity. If a Survivor is currently working on that gen, the explosion triggers, and the Survivor is put into the deep wound state. If a Survivor is not working on the gen, the trap (for a set time) is set. Those details are hazy though.
