Corrupt Intervention basekit idea?
Before I begin with my idea, if you're gonna disagree with the idea just don't be toxic and disrespectful.
Here is my idea for a Corrupt basekit change also with perk rework.
Basekit Corrupt Intervention blocks 3 gens for a default time of 100 seconds. But downing a surv will deactivate it immediately.
While having the perk and whenever you down a surv 1/2/3 farthest gens will remain blocked but at a cost of 20/30/40 seconds being deducted from default timer upon getting a down.
I feel like some killers would benefit from this either due to lack of mobility or sheer map size and gen spread. It would help new killers a lot and not have a horrible experience.

While nurse exist this system cannot exist, sorry

No thank you. The idea is interesting but whenever a killer gets a down and first hook, progress on gens basically stops. 1 unhooking/healing, 1 in chase and 1 doing gen. And this is in a perfect swf style. In solo there would likely be no gen progression, at least in my experience. This would kill us solos even more than what has already been done.

Whataboutism.
While SWF of this level exist, we can't buff survivors in any way:

So you are saying when playing well this system works fine but when playing poorly it doesn't? Sounds like they need to either remove SWF, or buff solo queue to have more information/communication with each other.

Why not? The gens would only be blocked for about 20 seconds before one of you goes down. Lol.

Buffing solo q to lessen the gap to swf, then buff underperforming killers accordingly. That is what I’ve been saying all this time.
Sadly the devs did it the other way around so the road will be even longer.
And no, I’m saying that basekit corrupted intervention is way too strong - especially after this patch where killers got major basekit buffs.

I see where you're coming from, and I really like the idea of the time being deducted depending on the number of downed survivors.
However, the key issue is that when you give new/low-mobility M1 killers a buff, you also inadvertently buff absolute monsters like Nurse and Blight. You say it'll help new killers 'not have a horrible time', but what about new survivors? This will make gens even more difficult to complete, especially since the recent patch with the unanimous feedback that it's really damaged solo Q.
A good, well-thought suggestion but I just don't think it'd be viable.

You people are obsessed with nurse holy crap, will make literally anything about her.

Well, 3/10 games is a Nurse with 4K at 4 gens left. So it’s natural to think about her.

this thread isn’t talking about nurse though.

Haha you always have the best comments man

You are the one replying to the Nurse comment though.
As long as all killers are included in the topic, then so is Nurse.

Killers just got buffed. The last thing they need is yet another buff. That aside, basekit Corrupt is less than ideal. Some killers need it, like Trapper, but other killers like Blight, Billy, Spirit and Nurse don't need corrupt and a basekit version would inadvertently buff them.
While I understand the sentiment of wanting to help new players not have a miserable experience, that's kind of part and parcel of online multiplayer games. New players should focus on learning the ropes rather than trying to win.

let me rephrase myself, the POST isn’t specifically talking about nurse.
even then, I don’t see people shutting down survivor buff ideas because SWF exists. Not everyone plays nurse, just like how not everyone plays SWF. I’m saying it’s not very smart to bring up nurse as a response as to why we can’t have killer buffs. From this logic we could say making a 10 or 15 second basekit BT is too strong because it would allow SWFs to free up a perk slot for them, making them even more powerful.
Theres 20+ other killers, not just nurse. We should think about them too, especially the tons of weak ones.

I think for that to exist it would have to be 1 gen the furthest one for 45s and leave the perk as it

Why is Nurse the number 1 factor for deciding how good or bad stuff can be for killers. Not every single person on dbd plays Nurse. If the whole killer community played Nurse then I would understand.

Killer buffs were long overdue, you have to understand that. I hate to say it but there probably isnt a way to buff solo q without making SWF a living hell for some killers.

Thats basically early Deadlock and would barely have any value on big maps with huge gen spread.

I understand where you're coming from but some new killers cant learn when the game is almost over in 3 minutes. (Depending on the level of surv or sheer map spread)

That, unfortunately, is a problem with the matchmaking and basekit buffs are not going to solve it. When bots are eventually added to custom games, they'll be able to learn in a controlled environment.
I understand the sentiment, and I do empathize with new players, but they aren't going to learn anything unless they stick with it. I've had games as killer where I've been hopelessly outmatched, but stuck with it to learn how to play better.

I have never denied that Killer buffs was needed.
