Ok, that's it, solo Q is at the worst it has ever been in Dead by Daylight's history.

Literally just played a match with a 3 DC as Dwight. One DCd while being carried and then the others left close after. Trapper gave me hatch though.

The absolute state of solo q survivor at this point. 🤣😭🤣

    THIS!

I won't come back until they actually change this. I think it is the only way to make survivors finally do things and use their damn brain instead of hiding and doing nothing. Also, being killed wouldn't matter anymore (just if you get tunneled and cannot do sxhit of course) and I think this would be huge step into the right direction. The whole match needs to be rated and not only an escape, this is just utter bs.

I tried to play on PC yesterday, cause I saw I still had it installed (usually I played on console)

In one match there were only two gens left and then the killer got his 4k, which was fine, cause I didn't loop well, the Kate didn't allow me to heal her even with we'll make it and other mistakes. Well, the Claudette had 5k points... With 2 gens left lol the game thinking I am just like that Claudette is just nuts.

It is the other way around too. Sometimes I played really bad and my teammate so damn good, but we all get killed. How is it fair for the better teammate to be put on the same pedestal as me if they played so much better?

This escape=win, 4k=win is so unbelievable boring and narrow minded.

Where are all the strong survivors ? I quit, for good. It's been clear for a while that anything less than a 4k is literally intolerable to killers, and there is nothing that devs won't nerf or entirely destroy to appease killer mains. Problem is, it's never enough. I'm just here right now because I heard a streamer I enjoy who still plays this game say that people were not happy with this major overhaul, so I hopped on the forums to see what people were saying.

Please, quit the game. Don't waste your time on something you hate because it used to fun. That game is long gone.

So I play around 7pm London time, and I'm counting escapes as gates.

Or maybe it's just people didn't realize how reliant they were on perks.

My build it's still the same, nothing got nerfed. But of course you just decide to ignore all the basekit buffs killer got. Typical.

I agree soloQ has some issues but what ive noticed so far is this.

Survivors babyrage after getting downed one time and DC leaving 3 people behind ( This usually happens around 4-5 gens ) This usually means insta loss to the remaining survivors unless the killer is maybe less experienced than them.

Survivors are using spine chill ( I understand this for the hard of hearing people but not otherwise this perk is poopoo ) Survivors that have this perk on usually leave their gen when it activates even though this doesnt even mean the killer is coming to you...they hide for long time behind a rock or a bush or anywhere as long as its not being on a gen and helping out the team. This usually is teamed up with urban evasion and self care which now takes half a year. I hate these survivors the most since usually NO gens are being done while i run the killer, sometimes even for long times, and this usually means loss.

Survivors dont really help other survivors anymore. I see a lot of survivors hide most of the game but get out at the end... with 0 hooks in them. People refuse to take a hook for someone whos on death hook or even bodyblock the killer when someones running to the exit gate. Sadly usually these people are the ones bagging at the gates in the end and saying GGEZ.

From the killers ive noticed that tunneling and proxy camping / camping has increased. Not sure why. I've had many killers simply tunnel and facecamp at 5 gens. I mean im not here to tell anyone not to do it but i just personally dont think it increases anyones level of experience in this game when you just simply stay at the hook or near the hook and insta down the already injured person. Just my personal opinion dont take it the heart and yes i do play a killer as well and i try to play fair unless theres 1-2 gens left and im losing i will put the pressure back on the survivors by tunneling.

I just think if survivors would stop DCing everytime they can't handle taking the first hook or they dont like the killer and if they dont hide 4 minutes behind a rock with urban evasion and spine chill soloQ would be much better.

My guy I see you on literally every post. The only killers who benefited significantly from this patch are m1 killers. Pretty much the only thing impacting blight and nurse is the 50 seconds extra on gens, and prove has already become meta to more than make up for that. Killer perks also got dumpstered, pretty much all regression besides pain res got nerfed and the only reliable slow down is gift of pain. Yes, blight needs a couple add-ons nerfed and nurse needs something. But really what is so impactful this patch that makes survivor unplayable? Please don't say teammates as that has nothing to do with balance.

It would be fine if they choose either basekit buffs or 90s generators not both at the same time then watch killrates for a while and buff more if needed, solo Q is pretty dead right now

That is what happens when you balance an asymmetrical game as if it is symmetrical. 99% of killers don't stand a chance against an overpowered SWF. Killers have nothing at all that helps them be stronger and to win. When perks deactivate for breathing, you know something is wrong.

Basically, Killer is fishing for a noob survivor that has never played survivor before to have a chance to win. It is honestly sad how easy survivor is now and it is worse that BHVR thought survivors need buffs. 90 sec gens against a mirad of weak gen regression perks is basically suicide for killers. There is no chance to win.

Why? Maybe basekit killer needed to be buffer in order to balance the game. Maybe learning how to greed pallets instead of comp dropping and holding W needed to be relearned as that's what makes a good player and a great player. Maybe people need to learn how to adapt as the changes aren't broken. For one, expecting to escape everytime is not reasonable. If you are in the right mmr, you should theoretically be escaping 50% of the time. Survivors don't like that this is being a reality and now we have people like you who are blaming basekit for finally balancing the game. ALSO learning how to take aggro of the killer, if you are in a group of weaker survivors to basically run them for 2 minutes is how you carry. Something most survivors who blame teammates don't know how to do.

The good survivors didn't go anywhere it's just now extremely hard to finish gens which take longer when every aspect of killer during a chase got buffed, so gens take longer and chases end quicker in solo queue than they did before, therefore the game is now very very killer sided unless u get 4 amazing solo queue players

I had an escape rate of about 80% before the patch, now its around 20%. Since neither Lithe nor bound nor Boon:circle of healing were touched, i think the perk change didnt affect me.

However, the games i lose are divided into 2 Cases:

    1. Killer Camping and tunneling
    2. Teammates doing nothing usefull, often dc´ing or hook suiciding.

While 2. might be caused by bad teammates reling on perks, it doesnt change my experience as a solo survivor. Even if i can cope, i cant carry a whole team. If too many survivors can´t cope, it becomes an issue.

You are missing 80% of the conversation my guy. But I'll address your statements.

    1. Yes you can carry a whole team. With my current escape rate which I documented using 20 games as a base rate I believe it was 85%. What I did was when killers started to camp and tunnel I was the most annoying survivor to go against. For example: I ran bt, otr, guardian, bond. Then I made sure to run a purple flashlight with add ons. If the killer tried to tunnel my teammates I made sure to make there life so miserable they would have a vendetta against me. Since I've been playing dbd since 2017, I have my survivor fundamentals down. I know my distances I know which loops are my greeds and extenders, I keep the killer on me for as long as possible (I've had games with over 10 minutes of me being chased). And if your saying in 10 minutes not 2 gens popped your lying and I'm sorry. I tested dbd as a low level survivor by downloading dbd onto my ps4. I tried the game with a relatively lower mmr and I could easily escape everytime.

    2. Now it's so easy to say, these survivors are useless, all they do is dc. You can't control that, stop blaming other people for your losses. What can you do to win the game as a 3v1? Alot, it's significantly harder but I've won lots of games as a 3v1. Simply by having core game mechanics and keeping that killer on you, and helping your teammates escape and taking aggro you are raising your chances significantly. My friends and I tested this theory out in customs. What we did was have 4 people join and have 1 person just stand in the corner and do nothing. We then played the game normally, if everyone knows how to loop, you will normally get a 2 out. The thing with killer is that, the killer has to wait for a survivor player to make a mistake in order to capitalize on it. Meaning if you never make a mistake in chase, the killer is screwed.

    3. I addressed it earlier but even in high mmr there's bad teammates. Mmr is just a range. The difference between high and low mmr is that people understand what they have to do in order to give people a fighting chance. Look at the major survivor main streamers like for example Mish. She knows exactly what to do in most situations and can adapt and hasn't really noticed a difference. If I can climb from low mmr with the skill set I have now, and easily get to high mmr in the span of 2 months. Anyone can do it.

Don't worry, in order to shorten killer ques, they'll just make matchmaking restrictions even more lax so you'll have even more useless teammates.

First, your 20games stats is anecdotal at best, but not a relevant sample size. I had 30 games winstreaks as survivor but dont think that 100% escape rate proves anything. Also, if the killer chases you for over 10 minutes after the changes we had, its just a sign of broken mmr, because obviously you outskilled that killer and shouldn´t have been matched against him in the first place.

And yes, that results in escaping on lower mmr, because you can actually outskill the killer. But some of us don´t get baby killers all the time.

Yes, competent survivors can win in a 3v1 scenario, especially if the killer is less skilled than all of them. But thats basicly swf, and i was talking about solo, where you dont get those competent survivors all the time.

Also, Mish seems to play swf too, at least all clips i could find on a fly were swf, not solo. I agree that swf is a totaly different game, i have played in swf-groups before. But this thread is about solo Q, not swf.

Idk man, my matches are just fine. My biggest problem are survivors killing themselves or DCing even tho their/our chance us pretty good, because they want to trough around their negativity about the game and the devs and their live or whatever (i do not mean you, i don't know your matches, so i can't judge you, but there are many of these people these days)
