The Noed Hex should be revealed when gates are powered

Part of why it feels awful to play against is that you can't know if the killer runs it even after endgame starts. Technically, if you're in chase with the killer you "could" see the killer speed up, so it should at the very least be revealed to the person in chase.

I just feel like if the Noed hex revealed itself when gates were powered it would feel far more fair. It's depressing the amount of 1ks that turn into immediate 3ks or 4ks thanks to Noed, and of course hooking near totem can just about guarantee a 1k.

The 4% speedboost being permanent is not particularly fun either but I guess if Hope can be permanent speed so can Noed. Either way I know this is complained about a lot, but it just feels so damn unfair. It's not like adrenaline "activates" when you were supposed to go down and screws the killer over, it just shows up as soon as gates are powered. So why can't Noed, you know?

And there certainly isn't enough time to do bones anymore. I don't know man. Just feels awful. Getting to the endgame is harder now too. So I think this change is in order.

That NOED nerf didn't really do much at all. I still see people run it and it this results in same issues like before: People will not try to find to totem for many reasons and it still feels cheap. SoloQ vs NOED is unchaged pretty much.

I disagree. I always felt NOED should have been left alone & not nerfed. It’s an endgame perk that doesn’t guarantee you’ll always get kills. Run it enough and you’ll get a fair amount of matches where survivors will either stop it from activating by doing totems, or find it relatively quickly before you get serious value from it. Ofc there are plenty of matches where the killer can capitalize and turn a game around because of it, but the numbers aren’t something crazy like 90% of the time.

It just feels real bad when you’re the first one to fall victim to it, especially if you’ve been in chase healthy for a while, and then the last gen pops. Add more salt to the wound if your teammates can’t find the totem or are too scared to look for it, then you die on first hook. It’s somewhat hit or miss to use, with a few criteria favoring the killer (as it should)

After a while, you tend to get a feel for who is a “NOED user” during the match. A lot of newbies who whiff and hit objects and or lose track of survivors easily tend to flock to it, and understandably so. That’s when you make sure you cleanse as many totems as you come across, or actively pursue doing them. Remember, there are 5 totems within close proximity to 5 out of the 7 gens. Two gens do not have a totem associated with it, so if you can’t find one close to a gen- move on. Chances are it’s one of the two that doesn’t have one, so don’t waste time on it. Move in a clockwise or counterclockwise position (based on location of killer if you know or have an idea) over the map and try to knock ‘em out in order so you don’t lose track of your progress. That’s what I do, anyway.

Srly? I mean... NOED is doing nothing, except the totem is at a hook while the killers has someone at this hook and camps. If he does, this surv is dead.

Except from this situation, I cannot see why this perk should get nerfed again.

Noed got nerfed harder than people appreciate. I haven't seen a game with it where it's lasted long at all, usually good for one down and then boom

You don't have to cleanse the totems just remember where they are and check them once gates are powered. If you clease the totems you might shoot yourself on foot if one well hidden totem remains.

NOED sucks now because it never worked on SWF in the first place, now even solos can cleanse it no problem because it reveals itself.

Why would anyone complain about NOED at this point?

I absolutely don't care where noed is and feel most killers will just guard it with knowing survivors have info.

Just have everyone marked as exposed after the last gen pops, I don't like that kind of thing is considered a mind game.

I’d rather attempt to prevent it, then take a chance the survivor gets hooked by one of the totems I made a “mental note” of- now turned NOED. 😂

Also, me personally I have it down to a science. Once I’ve made an effort to be proactive, it’s rare I can’t find it after it’s active. And even rarer if one of my teammates can’t find it (as long as they too are looking). It has happened, but I rather play the numbers and the odds are usually in my favor.

Eighth month in the Year Of Our Lord 2022 and people are still whining about a nerfed perk that can be 100% countered by simply doing their secondary objectives instead of tunneling gens.

No time for secondary objectives in solo q anymore man.

I exclusively play solo q and always bring a map and Detective's Hunchback. No boons or hexes at all when I'm around.
