I'm literally about to cry now.
This game is just so broken right now, not as 2017-18 but still very survivor-sided. It's too hard for survivors to play against killers on low-MMR matches and absolutely disgusting, boring and ridiculously hard for killers to play against survivors on high-MMR matches and you know that. I bet, that survivor-mains are going to disagree with me and say "after 6.1.0 this game is killers-sided bluh-bluh-bluh" and I'm so done with survivors that just press LMB, E and Space keys are telling killer that he must apply more pressure, walk around the map like housemaid with his 4.4 or 4.6 speed, patrol generators, while survivors are getting hit, looping infinite loops, healing themself in just a few seconds with their botania knowledge and super-fast buffed medkits. Killers are making too much effort in this game, while survivors are doing nothing. I'm done with 4 solos that are running with Unbreakable, Sprint/Lithe/Balanced Landing, Prove Thyself and doing 3 gens in first minutes of the game. BHVR keeps nerfing Killer perks like Ruin, Thanatophobia and etc. The only perks that can prevent genrush, but keeping Prove Thyself, Overzealous, Resilience untouched. They are buffing anti-tunnel, so killers won't have a chance to get 1k or healing, so survivors can heal in a few second and came back to get hit by killer. Survivors have too much 2nd chance perks, genrushing perks and healing perks. BHVR are loving survivos, while killers are getting beaten to death. Even Totems, Survivors can destroy killer's hex once and forever, while killer can only extinguish survivor's boons, that they can bless again in 10 second (?). Why Killers have to be discriminated? Why BHVR keeps killing killers and pity little survivor mains? I'm literally spending so much time to master Blight, I put so much effort to get good at him, to be teabagged at gates with 3-4 hooks? I'm pretty good Blight, Tier S / Tier 1 killers in the game as nurse, but getting absolutely destroyed against solo players that are predropping every pallet on the map, running +W non-stop and doing literally nothing esle, but generators... BHVR, I pretty much know that you're gonna ignore me and put into black list, because you hate killer mains and killers itself. But can you PLEASE play your own game to understand what's happening on HIGH-MMRs?
I have so much things to complain about, but I'm so tired of this. Do whatever you want.

Yeah, I feel bereft of something and complete outcast (seems like cost of being on low MMR). Everyone somewhere get that info, but I don't know where did they get it? It's not from inflated ego, right?
As for the topic, if someone can't compete on high MMR, then he will drop to low MMR, right? Ain't it how MMR work?

I’m not. I hardly ever see Nurse or a Blight (Thank God) and killers don’t steam roll us (I play solo) like many claim. I do get the annoying baby dcers and afkers.

It wasnt tears
It was sweat
Please consider play more casual

I must be squarely in the middle because I get a few really tough games, a few really easy games, but the majority are fairly balanced.
2 -
I have absolutely zero idea what my MMR is, so I guess that counts.
1 -
Instructions unclear. Pig nerf incoming.

I have a similar experience. However, instead of the majority being balanced; they are so free I can respond to salty survivors on PSN while eating ice cream and still 4k with ease or so difficult that I lose in literally 3 minutes.

It takes just about 18 wins to reach the mmr soft cap so if you play killer often enough and dont actively de-mmr you probably are but don't realize it.

The time of day influences thee level of the games far more than mmr itself because the matchmaker will ignore mmr when lobbies start getting too slow. You could be a fresh 20 hours player and be thrown into high mmr lobbies if you play on off-hours and be a top mmr 10k hours player and be put into lobbies with fresh install players on primetime. So if you only play on off-hours or prime-time hours, your perception of the game will likely be skewed by your personal experiences.

Everyone on this forum is high MMR. And those who claim to be high MMR are also gifted with 140 IQ, some cars and houses in the high class areas and they are Supermodels and are married to Supermodels.

You're a Blight main you should be fine, I don't understand posts like this sometimes I'm losing hard too but generally I have a lot of easy games between 2 hard games, I think it's the same for you or you're just lying and want 4ks 100% of the time, be honest average teams are pretty easy to beat atm

The obsession with a number that they cannot see is amazing to me

What you are describing has always been a part of DBD. It is either stomp or be stomped or some kind of long test of endurance when killers insist on 3 gen life and 30 min matches.
If you just play the game and do not pay attention to pips or your grade your mental state will be much better.

I don't know, if only there was a way to check
0 -
Honestly, it is better that there is no way to check. This was already horrible with Ranks. "I bet you are not Rank 1!!!", as if Rank 1 meant something.
If MMR would not be hidden, we would have discussions like: "Ok, someone with 1490 MMR does not know what they are talking about, you need at least 1511 MMR to have an opinion". It will happen.

Not as Survivor.

I'm not, far from it in fact. But the simple truth is, is that as killer you will never stand a chance against a well coordinated SWF. Any team that can communicate at all times with one another on what you as the killer are doing, will always result in some of the sweatiest matches that you can play. It doesn't help either when RNG map layouts can put LT walls right next to god pallets. It also doesn't help that as the killer, you'll be thrown into any match regardless whatever your rating may be, should survivors find themselves waiting for a long time.
At the end of the day, kills and escapes don't equate to skill, and so long as that's the determining factor with SBMM, then don't ever expect your matches to be fairly balanced.

I hear you. I really do. I have been in those trenches. 2 hook games. I still play them out.
Magic happens when you face the dragon. I can remember every down of a cocky runner when they least expected it.
I savor it and take my licks when I fail.

Yeah, you're right. I once got told my opinion doesn't matter as a 1000 hour player compared to their 3000 hours
2 -
Yeah, I'll definitely say that is one of the silver linings about dead by daylight. If you're getting absolutely demolished, at least the matches are fairly quick, but getting steamrolled - especially when you're just practicing - is enough to turn anyone off from this game.
Which is why I can't wait for the bot implementation. Ironically I could see myself playing that mode exclusively, and never again touching the servers. I don't care if it's simple bots either, because that means I can play a match of DBD at any moment and not have to deal with toxicity in any way. That alone is a dream come true. LOL

God my eyes...
How I'm supposed to read you crying over a video game if you can't even put same space on your post ?

Aww. So sad.

For future reference, please consider using more paragraph breaks in your text. It makes the whole thing easier to read and more digestible.

@ACERESS FTFY bud. Walls of text are difficult to read.

"High MMR" have never struggled. Killer mains have always played for hours without a single loss.
The only thing BHVR has done is make it so noob killers can easily beat high caliber survivors. This is why survivor is unplayable and tremendously disadvantaged.

I'd say I'm mid MMR. Not a "Lets bully the nurse till they DC"/"Every survivor dead at 6 gens" level, but I can certainly make the survivors or killer regret a few life choices.

I mean, no one can really see there MMR, so who really knows.
Of course you do see posts that are in poor taste, but I still feel like people rely too much on MMR to justify how skilled someone is. I think people forget just how broken and poorly designed MMR is to begin with.
