Why can killers see our prestige level before the game?
This will only lead to low level players being targeted or tunneled early

I'm not worried about me being tunneled more than my other soloq teammates being exposed before the match starts as easy targets.

Agreed, the prestige level should not be seen in lobby. The end game result section is fine for it to show, but the lobby gives reason to dodge lobbies. It could be said that the prestige level, at least currently due to this system being new, does not imply a specific skill level but regardless it can still be used to dodge lobbies and anything that lengthens queue times is not great.

The literally removed ranks before because of this reason, so why return it now? Huge oversight from the developers, and hopefully will be addressed soon.

Well, at least because no normal player makes a conclusion about the experience of a player by his level of prestige.

Sometimes I meet accounts with 100-200 hours, but they run as if they have more than 2k hours. What's next, tag them so that baby killers don't run after them?

The ranks were removed because of:
– Devs, why do they put me as a beginner against a killer with the first rank?
– Because ranks don't matter now, it's just an indicator of the time spent in the game during this month
– NO, WHY????! TELL ME!!!1111!!
– Okay, they're stupid, let's remove them to avoid constant questions like this

I mean if I see one of the free base characters has no prestige level, it’s not far off to asssume they could have significantly less hours than the counterparts.

Honestly, I have noticed if I am the only low prestige in the lobby, they come for me cartoonishly hard. I have had to disgrace them with some sick 3-5 gen chases. Well, sometimes, also sometimes I just die and exit the game in like 2 minutes. Lol, depends on how much I can piss them off.

I’ve been saying this since it was announced. Players on both sides dodge lobbies because of this. NGL, I occasionally do this myself when I see a default Meg with that damn mask on and 0 prestige. ######### that. I learned my lesson. I gave them TOO MANY chances to prove that cosmetic is just a stereotype associated with being bad. Spoiler alert: IT’S NOT A STEREOTYPE, IT’S FACT. THOSE PLAYERS SUCK.
They’ll remove it one day when there is a huge disparity in prestige levels & the lobby dodging is blatant.

I don't the only lobbies I dodge are folks with prestige levels that are way too high to have ATM.....that is a big red flag for it being a hacker or a obvious swf if I don't want to deal with them ATM.

You pretty much answered the question as why there is no point to remove them, i could put all my points into say Steve and have him at prestige 15 does that make me a great player no it just means that's who i have put most of my bp into. But then on the other hand i play meg and she is only at 3 but yet im a great player, i just never took her past that lvl and with the new system forcing you to prestige all it means is you put a lot of bp into that character does not mean your a great player.

it will still make people unmotivated to play against high prestige ranks or playing with a low prestige teammate. it needs to go

Or maybe people just need to change there mindset and realize it means nothing now, not everything needs to go or be hidden a low prestige teammate could loop the killer better then the high prestige one in your party. If it goes the forum will be flooded with people bitching about getting low lvl prestige players in there party and that they are sick of it and they would like to see who they have in the party to know if they have a good group.
