Is Kindred Required?
I feel like Kindred is a required perk in your loadout now, as every time I don't use it, my teammates will get super upset that I didn't use it. I know it's very helpful and all but... sometimes even when I have it equipped, survivors don't come and help me anyway. Is everyone using this?

I wouldn't say it's REQUIRED, personally, I mostly use it for solo-q. When I duo with my friend, maybe one of us runs it. There is no question that it's very helpful, but not something you NEED to win.
Don't let other people tell you what perks to run, you bought the game you get to pick how you want to play.

In theory it's the best soloq perk there is
In practise it's useless if your teammates don't use the information

I tried running Kindred for a while but stopped using it because I seemed to get saved less despite not being camped.

BHVR said they wanted to shy away from “required perks” with their last update; so no, Kindred is not required. At least per the game designers.

Not a required perk, good for beginners and can come in clutch for when killers camp or proxy hook.

Not required, but definitely very useful in solo queue.
Though, I've found that Nancy's Situational Awareness is an interesting "poor man's" replacement for Kindred. If you're on a generator, you get auras when someone's downed, and it has the benefit of telling your teammates where your gen is so they at least theoretically can avoid running the killer right to you. Pretty alright for if you've not gotten Kindred in the bloodweb yet lmao

Nothing is required. If you want to use it then use it. If you don't want to use it then don't use it. 'Meta' is a word for 12 year olds.

I don't know what kind of drooling clods some of these people commenting are playing with and frankly I think they're full of sh*t, especially the arrogant fool who claims it's for beginners. Bottom line, kindred works. It's very important if you're playing by yourself. Your team can plan on who, when, or even if they should save if the killer is camping. It also counters insidious. You can see the aura fade while they're standing still. Yes, it disappears completely, but everyone will know the killer is standing there with their dork in their hand.
