Until you factor in things like addons, which are consumable and arguably far more important as many of them completely alter a killer's playstyle. Those became considerably worse, especially since webs are on average much smaller and much more difficult to manipulate the entity to eat unwanted nodes. not only that, but the entity can't be forced to spawn earlier if you're out of perks to earn, with all that waste more than making up for that difference quickly enough. They needed to address the waste if they wanted to "limit the reduction" this badly with removing bbq/wglf and the prestige taxes, because like they do every single time, they overlooked an extremely important factor: most people don't care about worthless perks they'll never use, when compared to consumable addons or items that they will.

"we're sorry you never get the addons your killer needs to be viable anymore, but hey, at least they have territorial imperitive unlocked for free!"

They increased the BP cap by 25 % without increasing all score events by 25 %. So the increase in caps is kinda pointless.

It wouldn't do much on certain Score events. Like kicking gens would go from 100 BP to 125 BP but it's collectively more at the end.

They've definitely cooled down on the BP redemption codes.

And, for reference, it takes roughly 1.6 million BP for one full prestige cycle. From 21 you're probably looking at ~1.1 million.

I did a leveling cost study a while back and recorded bloodweb-by-bloodweb totals for what it takes to get a fresh character from 1 to 50. It has mostly been pretty consistent, though I am curious what the increased item rarities do to those numbers on a fresh prestige cycle.

On a P16 Steve, 2 mil BP got me about 48 levels after being very efficient in the webs.

That is a... very substantial and alarming difference.

I think this grind is OK, but, can be more painful for casual player or people play just only favorite character. I play with different survivors and killers, so, for me, this new system is amazing, so, my friend just play as kate, for him, this update is painful. i personal think teachables should be optional, u unlock teachable on level 40 how was before the update, and, u can choice the way u want up, because, for me, i personally prefer to go P3, but, my friend certanly will prefer teachable, for take perks in the kate's bloodweb instead p3 with every survivor

Keep in mind that I started at around Level 15 and ended at P17 Level 3.

I would estimate that to cost about 1.4 million BP under normal circumstances. So yeah, 2 million is a huge difference.

The grind is not better, people. It's worse. It's a lot worse.

I'm still greatly annoyed that there wasn't much communication on how prestige levels would transfer. I had every character (Killer and Survivor) at level 50, unprestiged. A few went to P3 and only my boy Steve at P3 with every perk maxed. Had I known to prestige characters before the switch, I would've had every character at P3 now with all perks on everyone, and instead I have to go through another bloodweb, pay a 20k BP tax to prestige once, gain nothing from it since all level 1 perks are already unlocked for me, and then go through 100 more bloodwebs to prestige two more times on nearly every character.

Yeah, with 1.1k hours in, I'm annoyed. The grind was not reduced, it was just altered.
