God, Wesker outclasses Nemesis on practically every single thing

Like, come on, just compare Wesker to Nemmie:

  • Better anti-loop
  • Better mobility
  • His attack injures AND infects at the same time
  • His infection mechanic is actually detrimental and something survivors MUST get rid of if they want to win
  • Survivors have to spend way more time to get rid of their infection
  • Bigger terror radius means better synergy with TR based perks

And what does Nemesis have? A whip and 2 zombies that do literally nothing reliably? If it wasn't for Nemesis' ability to break pallets, Wesker would be undoubtedly the superior choice, not only because he is better, but because he is way more fun. I hope we can expect a Nemesis buff, because his current state is just sad.

Yeah, I find Wesker way better. Every once in awhile, Nemesis' zombies are useful, but most of the time they are utterly useless. His ability, at least in my experience, is way easier to hit. At pallets, Nemesis' whip is better, but I think that's about it.

Wesker is also like infinitely more fun to play. At least IMO.

I'd have to agree that Nemesis' anti-loop is better. If you're at a loop with Nemesis, you're getting hit. You might be able to juke the tentacle once or twice like a Huntress, but you're getting hit at basically every loop against Nemesis.

With Wesker, his anti-loop seems to be fairly weak at most pallets or windows. He's got some decent zoning by throwing survivors into dead zones and he gets some mobility from his power. And you're absolutely dead if you're caught in a dead zone against him (which his power is decent at throwing you into a dead zone). But he's just not honestly that strong at pallets or windows. Ironically, his power seems to be stronger at god pallets than at unsafe/semi-safe pallets. He vaults too slowly for that to be useful at shorter loops, but his vault saves a lot of time at the loops from god pallets.

This is assuming that his movement wasn't just bugged on the PTB. His anti-loop might be stronger if he slid on objects more easily than he did in the PTB. But, at the moment, survivors can usually just hug loops tightly and render most of his power unusable. But he's still 115 so he can still usually get a hit. And even if he slid more, he still wouldn't be able to hit through windows.

I'll definitely be playing Wesker. His power is very fun and it's not completely useless at a loop. And his power gives some pretty insane mobility across the map that gets you into chases faster (like Blight). But Nemesis is definitely the stronger power at a loop.

Agree. Idk why Wesker doesnt have zombies too.

When they announced Project W I was hoping to see more zombies.

    Except breaking pallets and walls

Actually Wesker does have anti-loop against fully infected survivors because they're Hindered with an 8% movement speed penalty. But yeah, in most tight loops and against survivors who aren't fully infected he isn't really "anti-loop" any more than Demogorgon is "anti-loop". He is anti-god pallet and good at zoning in the straightaways though (again, similar to Demogorgon).

True, I think I am trying to compare Nemesis with him because they come from the same game. My real issue then is how accurate DBD Wesker feels to his RE5 counterpart compared to Nemesis, the comparison between both is abysmal. Wesker got both his hyper speed and uroboros mechanics implemented way better than whatever they were trying to do with Nemesis.

    Nemesis has WAY better anti-loop.

Not saying Wesker isn't better than Nemesis, but you did overlook one other good thing about Nemesis - his zombies give pretty decent tracking information. Honestly being able to see that zombies are actively chasing someone is to me their most useful feature, if they actually get an occasional hit that's just a bonus.

Nemesis is less clunky and sluggish, wesker works as a m1 killer for the must part on most loops, nemesis is weak but better

except Wesker doesnt get his op zombies

I'd say they both have their strengths. Nemesis can mow through pallets and even have some assistance from zombies with map control along with a pretty dangerous anti-loop. Wesker has mobility, but plays like an M1 killer at certain loops. His infection does honestly have enough of an impact to be scary though. I think they're both fun and strong in their own rights.

Nemesis can down survivors while literally AFK.

If that's true, then Sadako would like to say hi to Nemesis. They can bond over shared commiserating.

I still think Nemesis anti-loop will be better. If you only focus on the looping aspect. Wesker has very decent and fair counterplay at loops, which is obviously a good thing. You want a killer that is strong, but not overpowered in the sense that survivors have too little counterplay.

Nemesis also has some counterplay, but is more limited in my opinion. If you are in mid animation and Nemesis has line of sight on you, you are getting hit, especially thanks to his very short charge time. And he can hit over objects, and vaults, as well. Of course having to hit survivors 3 times is a downside, and Wesker counters holding W very well, Nemesis doesn't.

I do think Wesker will be a bit stronger than Nemesis, but not to the point where he'll just do everything better. I find Nemesis to still be a fairly strong killer with his upsides.

Nemesis is better he can destroy pallet and wesker can't do it.

Maybe according to our local RE fanatic who insists Nemesis should have a rocket launcher

Not unless he can sprint at Billy speeds and mutates whenever he's stunned.

As much as I disagree with OP, this is kinda true, even the best trapper or slinger will get dunked on by a decent swf making the useless, while nurse can compete against them, maybe blight too.

Are..you seriously trying to compare two completely different characters...?

Literally they have nothing much in common other than badass moris and TENTACLES.

Anyway, nemesis is an oppressive anti loop killer while wesker needs to play around loops like any other M1 killer. You may bring up his pallet vault,to that,I ask have you ever played legion against Decent players? It doesn't if you can vault, the survivor will just vault from where you came from and now things are worse than before.

Nemesis doesn't care about a good majority of loops at all once he's at least T2.

You can't compare them. Their purpose is just too different.

Wesker is meant to be played to win and stuff.

Nemesis is for taking pictures of funny zombie moments.

Idk why people think Nemesis is not strong killer. He has the most anti-loop power after Nurse.

Nemmy seems popular with stoners and alcoholics and tbh, I just dont see Wesker cutting into that niche.

Theres something simple yet addicting that keeps people playing him.

Wesker seems strong but idk if hell havethe same casual feel to him
