Thoughts on decisive strike being 5 seconds again
I find it still a usable perk as it is but certain killers you just can't escape from.

Having it not work once the gates are powered was the perfect change by itself.

It should definitely be 5 seconds again. If I bring a perk to stop tunnelling it should do that job well since it’s an optional strategy on the killers end

The endgame change was fine, the stun nerf was ... weird. I get they probably wanted people to swap it for OTR but still.
At the absolute very least make the stun itself actually 3 seconds. You lose what, over an entire second of that time with no chance to make distance as you're locked in the "getting off the killer's shoulder" animation, and that is a much bigger fraction of the advertised time compared to when the advertised time is 5 seconds.

I'd be happy if it reverted back to 5. I used DS maybe 3 times, literally, pre-nerf. I just used it (to help accomplish the "Stun the Killer four times" challenge). 3 seconds was nothing.

It should be 5 seconds again. Leave it disabled in endgame though.

Make the stun 5 seconds. ######### it, make it 10. Actually punish tunneling, especially since Endurance stacking never left PTB and tunneling is easier than ever.
Now that it deactivates in end-game and any conspicuous actions, make it active upon both hook states, too. If someone wants to tunnel a survivor, then they can eat both stuns.

It would be a huge improvement as far as the game's health is concerned. I wouldn't even mind if it became basekit and activated both times (still disabled after the last gen pops and even after you get fully healed by any means). It was almost perfect before the nerf and the absolute clown fiesta of the past few weeks have shown that the game desperately needs actually working countermeasures to tunneling.

Yes. When killers do the most aggressive camping and tunneling...That said, I'm always grateful they reworked it to prevent the "dribbling". That was one the most pathetic displays I've ever seen in any game. Make no mistake, killers still fill their diapers AT THE POSSIBILITY of survivors having it. Sure, it's a good psychological advantage but I'd rather they just play the game.

Absolutely no problem with DS going to 5s again. Hell it can even work on both unhooks. As long as it remains disabled at end game all is good and right with the world.
The risk of a stacked OtR + DS would be a damn good disincentive to tunnel.

To be fair, dribbling existed when DS was still horrifically overpowered. They fixed that when they took the perk from get out of jail free to anti-tunnel.

I think the stun should vary in length based on the killer. For normal M1 killers like trapper and legion it should be 5 seconds, but for ranged and mobility killers it should be more along the lines of 8 seconds. Either that, or disable their powers after the DS stun for 15~ seconds to stop an instant re-down.
Oh, and it shouldn't deactivate for the rest of the match if used once. Absolutely no reason for that now that conspiracy actions deactivate the perk. Most of those actions shouldn't even deactivate the perk in the first place.

God i already have people body blocking when im carrying a survivor to hook with otr + ds. If they made ds 5 second again that would be incredibly obnoxious to face.
I can right now see people bringing otr, ds, dh and trying to body block 3 hits followed by ds into dh again. I wonder why i only see a few people do this.

I think it just needs a rework. The suggestion I have, is as long as you have an item in your hands with charges, you can use it. It consumes the item (it breaks when you hit them with it) and you get to run away. Can only do it once a match, and disables during EGC.
It gives value to Franklin's Demise and other item perks, like Overwhelming presence. Will make a killer think twice before going for a crucial hook. Also, simply holding an item would be a deterrent. Fairly good idea in my book.

I'd be happy with it reverting to 5 seconds. Deactivating it at the endgame is perfectly adequate a nerf and it needs to be effective aganbst tunnelling. 3 seconds can be useful, but think of the new players trying to come in - it's no longer an endgame threat by janky players trying to be cool; it's a perk to help during the game and punish a tunneller.

Because it doesn't work. DS requires killer compliance. If someone was unhooked in the last 60 seconds and intentionally goes down, just leave 'em slugged. Just don't hit that space bar. That's all it takes to 100% nullify this perk.
Additionally, AFAIK, DS does not remove exhaustion, so you can't 'DH again'.
Also also: DS being 3 or 5 seconds makes no difference to your absolute doom-scenario.

Its not an absolute doom scenario, its just something that people sometimes do: Use otr and ds offensively and dh just compliments that build really well. I mean its a really solid build with just those 3 perks, not just for bodyblocking.

This makes it even worse. With your changes, the stun lasts 3 seconds, the perk disables during EGC, it disables if the survivor performs Conspicuous Actions, and it requires an item to activate once per trial. And it destroys that item upon use. But I guess you already knew this would make it worse because you went on to say how it buffs two killer perks…

I mean body blocking when you have ds is using it offensively whether you like it or not. You are banking on either being slugged for a minute and getting picked up or using ds to hopefully escape.
And honestly waiting for a minute is incredibly boring. If some one uses ds offensively im eating ds and hard tunneling them each time. Why wouldnt i?

And what do you accomplish with it? Killer gets a free down and then DS doesn't fire, so you're left on the ground until you bleed out or get help. Which slows down the survivors' progress more than it hinders the killer.

You know what else requires you to get help? Being on hook. Unless you are playing a bottom tier killer just eating the ds and tunneling the survivor makes 100* more sense. Why would i give the survivor a free pass?

honestly? i don't think it should be 5 seconds again because a 5 second stun on killer is miserable.
i do think, however, that it should have more effects.
-stun the killer for 3 seconds
-150% move speed for 6 seconds
-no grunts/scratch marks/pools of blood for 30 seconds or until conspicuous action
decisive strike should not protect other survivors, ever. the 5 second DS was exploited to burn the killer's time unnecessarily by forcing the killer to tunnel just to make it happen. if it's now insufficient when it comes to protecting yourself, then it should be made better at protecting yourself without forcing the killer to stop playing the game even longer. my big issue with a 5 second DS isn't that i tunneled, it's that that's 5 seconds that everyone else is spending on gens, or healing, or unhooking, that i am forced to sit out because i picked up the wrong person.
also, it should have a secondary cancellation effect. if somebody else is hooked while your DS is active, it deactivates. sorry, but the killer's not tunneling you at this point. they just aren't.

The correct way to play against ds is to eat it and tunnel the survivor. Unless you are playing a bottom tier killer. Avoiding it makes no sense whatsever. Specially after the patch <3

Less than 8 seconds, and nurse/blight gets a free down due to their powers. Why does it matter to you if you don't tunnel as these killers?
