Why hasnt prove thyself been nerfed? Why are maps so poorly designed also?

The perk is so busted, its like reverse hex pentimento with no precondition and no counter. How dumb can this game be, its being used nonstop and games are over before they begin in high ranks. Worst design ever, please fix it before your game dies.

Also stop adding god pallets on your new maps that are horribly designed. Too many stealth options, too many god pallets/windows.

Get someone else to design new maps as all your new ones have been objectively horrible. I literally am leaving games at start because of how bad they are, and i probably will quit if this keeps up.

Are you proposing maps should be full of god pallets?

Aside from nerfing Alchemist's Ring, I really hope they don't touch Blight without the game undergoing a major overhaul.

He has great diversity of add-ons and he is insanely fun to play as and against.

Map sizes are the problem, not Prove Thyself.

Maps could use an overhaul but im little afraid of that since new maps that have come out to the game are horrible and massively survivor sided.

Eyrie of crows...what can i say..theres nothing to say big map, too big even. Horrible main house and for trapper and hag this map is hell on earth. For stealth killers ..welp good luck. Slow killers...goodluck

Garden of...joy. Again another survivor sided map with steel bushes with horrible hit boxes some massively good loops and godtier main house.

yeah maps need a rework but im little worried about rework making them even worse.

Haddofield. Yes its stunning map, but the houses are horrible to deal with for a killer and the windows are so weirdly made you can never get a hit when someone jumps through them. Only saving grace about this map is the large open area at the middle, but it comes with some good pallet loops.

uh, is that true? 90 second gens and prove thyself takes away the negatives of being a gen with another survivor. 45 is 100% correct for 2 suvivors at least and 1/3 of 90 seconds is 30 so that adds up too. What numbers are off. Prove essesially takes away the need for survivors to spread out and pressure multiple gens at max efficiency. If you and another survivor hop on a gen when another survivor starts a chase the gen is done.

    Time to complete a gen w/o PT is: 1 surv, 90s; 2 survs, 53s; 3 survs, 43s; 4 survs, 41s.

    Time to complete a gen w/ PT is: 1 surv, 90s; 2 survs, 46s; 3 survs, 33s; 4 survs, 28s.

Values rounded to the nearest second for simplicity. Vast majority of the time PT only gets value with 2-3 survivors; i.e. PT will "save" at most 7-10 seconds per generator if and only if they decide to group up for every gen. But this "time saved" is really an illusion, because: 1) It's still less efficient than if the survivors were to split up on different gens (check out these wiki pages on PT and Generators for info on how the generator charges per second change when more than 1 survivor is repairing at the same time) and 2) If the survivors do actually split up on different gens, you'd be "losing" this time anyway as the killer.

Killers are now the strongest they've ever been, and survivors are adapting. PT doesn't need a nerf. If you don't like this perk, run Discordance. This isn't directed at the person I'm responding to, but stop blaming your loses on a perk if you still can't win after all these killer buffs. The perk isn't the problem; try learning from your mistakes if you want to get better instead of whining for nerfs to a perk.

It's 46 seconds for 2 survivors but close enough

It doesn't exactly take away the penalty but adds a bonus equal to the penalty. The penalty is still there

    So for 2 survivors it's

    90/((0,85×1,15)×2)= 46 seconds

The obvious reason most people use it: It is the only Survivor perk left that gives bonus bloodpoints for doing generators with other survivors and it helps them finish generators faster.

Honestly before the Prestige Rework, I had no reason to bother with using Prove Thyself at all. But after they took away the bloodpoint bonus for Were Gonna Live Forever which they didn't need to do at all. They left me with no choice but to start using it cause of the fact it gives me bonus bloodpoints for working on generators with others. Which as a survivor u kind of need it for matches cause of that considering most killers with the way they have being buffed since the rework are killing survivors way too quickly in matches and not allowing them a chance to get a decent amount of bloodpoints so the only way to really counter act that is to use a perk that gives u bonus bloodpoints for something.

Clearly the Devs and the creators of the game left Prove Thyself the way it was to counter act the fact that with the rework. It's twice as hard to get a decent amount of bloodpoints in matches against killers lately making leveling survivors to Prestige level and prestiging them alot harder than it used to be to do it with perks that gave bonus bloodpoints.

That being said, I can't speak for most people who use Prove Thyself as one of their perks. They may use it for the same reason I do or to get thru gens faster with other survivors. But I wouldn't be surprised if some people use it for the bonus bloodpoint part of it and for me personally. With how difficult killers have become to win against in most matches. I will continue to use it to help me get bonus bloodpoints to level my survivors and prestige them.

By BHVR's own logic in removing the bloodpoint bonus from BBQ and WGLF they should remove Prove Thyself's bloodpoint bonus. This would reduce its usage rate from players like myself who only run it to easily max out the Objective category and earn 10k BP easily. Hopefully they'd buff scoring in the Objective category to compensate.

I agree on the maps. BHVR's last 4 outings in map creation are the worst maps in the game. Soon it'll be 5 when we get 2 awful RPDs.

Why are you making daily nerf Prove Thy Self posts instead of sticking to the posts you already made?

It isn't I just watched Ohmwrecker play around with the new Rebecca perk combined it with The perk that while your outside of the killers TR you build up tokens they turn good skill checks into greats.....he also had a teammate with PT and they breezed through each gen I'm about 25 secs.....thats just nutz

prove thy is fine. More people using it is a result of over buffing killers and over nerfing survivors. Gen rushing is the only grace left for survivors to have a slime chance to win now, and Prove Thy has been in the game since forever. Killers like you just love to complain instead of improving your own skills. It's laughable to see you call yourself being in high rank, yet you still lose to a single average perk even with this much added buffs. I guess this is what happens when wins are handed to you freely, and brainless low rank killers are boosted to high rank. I bet even if BHVR deleted all survivor perks, you would still find something to whine about 🙄 Just quit already, the game will be better without you, and no one will miss you.

Why are you comparing Prove Thyself to BBQ and WGLF?

Not only that, you also choose to omit the multitude of other perks ON BOTH SIDES that give bonus bloodpoints IN ONE SINGLE CATEGORY.

Some people have really, really stupid logic here.

Prove thyself (PT) is not that much of a game changer. Yes it makes repairs slightly faster but this is a natural reaction to the new killer regression and slowdown meta of Pain Res/DMS.

Also PT requires survivors be in the injured state, which puts them in a precarious position if they are interrupted by the Killer. All in all, it is a balanced perk.

Both. Even without PTS I've seen gens fly on maps like dead dawg or coal tower when those are some of the smallest maps in the game. All because they both have stupid map design. Coal tower can just completely loop itself if it wanted and dead dawg just lets you reach main from anywhere on the map so every chase goes from whatever gen they're on to possibly shack or the windows, to main.

They would have to remove the bp gain of 3 killer perks and the bp gains a ton of killer add-ons by that standard

Because a good survivor won't even use an unsafe pallet or run in the direction of an unsafe pallet knowing it's unsafe. They will W to a safer area or start utilizing windows if they are near by instead. God pallets literally can destroy a killers pressure entirely. Ever play an m1 killer on the meat plant? I've had games where I'm literally just breaking pallets all game and the gens are done, 1 or 2 hooks and that's it because there's a safe pallet literally within reach everywhere. An unsafe pallet to me is a garbage pallet that the killer is guaranteed a hit, not a 50/50 pallet that can result in either the killer getting a hit or the survivor vaulting the pallet before the killer gets the hit.

God pallets which are the worst design in the game, 50/50 ones which are the best design, and unsafe pallets which are garbage design but not as bad as God pallets. Killers are forced to interact with God pallets every game. Survivors do not have to interact with an unsafe pallet.
