Camping is a non issue
seeing all these forum post about camping and honestly i get the points being made its unfun on the receiving end but yall just need to educate yourselves. its fair and needs to be there, its an objective and should be guarded sometime you go into a match and just die plain and simple ive had it happen to me hundreds of time honestly so have most of you, probably got some cheesing bubba who face camped then popped no ed and got another kill thats dbd learn to play around it don't complain if you haven't attempted to overcome a camper or played stupid. too many people give the killer reasons to camp ive done it my self i ain't gonna lie but if i hook someone and see 2 lost claudettes with flash lights hanging out by the hook why would i leave, 1 person doing a gen 3 people right by hook im going to stay by the hook. not gonna bring suggestion and answers cause if yall play long enough you'll learn but you know here is a hint do a gen maybe run kindred too idk

how about no?

It is a skilless, yet overrewarding mechanic. Just because it is part of the game doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed. Keys were part of the game for the longest time even though everyone knew they were broken.

See plenty of camps happen, even when noone is near.
New perk is good for that and it should stay that way, or they should not do a band aid fix.

But there is times when you need to camp as the killer, the other day i had a match and hooked someone in the last 30-45 sec of the EGC and i camped him due to the fact the hook was close to a exit and there was not long left till game ended. So its not a skilless thing as sometimes you need to do it based on the situation your in as camping might be the best play at the time.

Camping is annoying for the survivors and incredibly boring for the killer.

Yes, like the devs have been doing with perks deactivating in the EGC, when the gens are done all there is left to do is camp. Nothing wrong with that.
For an ever increasing number of killers, however, their "strat" from the beginning of the game is camp the first hook. It's boring and skilless, and too rewarded.

Its a crutch and im glad its going away. Playing around the hook will still be a thing after reassurance but at least face camping will be 10 times harder.

It is too easy and too rewarding currently. With 90 second Gens they buffed it, add in Deadlock and you have even more time to camp.
And it is also very boring, people say that sitting on a Gen is boring, but at least you have Skill Checks. Standing there staring at a Survivor is even more boring.

It's not that it isn't an issue. It's that unless you're going against Leatherface, it's not "uncounterable."

Camping becoming a non-issue might become true after RE 2 is released and enough people have time to pick up Reassurance. I'm looking forward to that perk.
2 -
I'd argue that it is unfun on both ends.

All they need to do is work out a why to nerf his power around hooks so even if he camps best he will get is a trade, one idea i had was if he is so close to a hook his chainsaw will only injure one person then go into his rage and loses all charges, now he can't down survivors at the hook and multiple survivors with ease, this will allow him to keep his power away from the hook and if he camps then he can't down 2 or more survivors with ease.

I wont buy that chapter. If the perk is any good, it will be nerfed anyway after the initial sales are done, just as always.

you are more than likely correct, but im getting the chapter anyways. There's characters and other perks im also interested in.

It's a strat that either works or it doesn't
If the Killer is camping then stay away from that area... run Kindred so either you can see the other Survivors or allow the team to see each other and the Killer if it is a Facecamp
Camping has low returns in the beginning of the match... so take advantage of it pop 2-3 Gens and then go for the save of there is time

camping is completely fine during egc don't sweat it my man.

Unfortunately, the best situation you can make out of a killer camping is go do your objective unbothered. If it's you on the hook, I guess you'll just have to move on to the next game. This will be a problem though if survivors abuse Reassurance and just keeps you there while being camped, I think that's when Reassurance will be looked at again.

Thanks for repeating the same gibberish 2 million others have already said.

If the best solution is to just do your objective unbothered (ie. Hit gens) then wouldn't Reassurance help with that? Like, if I'm being facecamped on hook and I'm holding on til the very end so my team can safely hit gens, I'll be totally fine with them chucking some extra time on me if needed.
