Nurse is a relic from Hide and Seek design
Nurse was designed back when looping wasn't officially part of design. The game was intended to be played more stealthily and chases were deadlier. What if Nurse could only blink during chase? This could potentially restrict her oppresive ability to quickly travel the map through walls and between floors, while keeping the lethality in chase she's popular for. With a smaller terror radius, she could be an exciting jumpscare killer.

No offense to you at all but I don't think this would be a good fix nor do I think it would ever be added. Nurse is one of the few killers that are slower than survivors without her power and making the blink ability only able to activate during chase would make her nearly unplayable as it would be so easy to avoid a chase due to her slow nature. Ok well what if we changed her speed to at least 4.4m/s? Then she becomes absolutely broken because not only would she be able to still teleport during chases but also her big drawback, the skill curve that she currently has, would be largely removed because she would function as a normal M1 killer on top of that.

You do realize she walks at 3.85m/s, right? Her basekit is completely fine.

That doesn’t fix the problem. All this does is just make moving across the map a nightmare while the chase is literally exactly the same.

You can still play the game stealthily, that doesnt have to mean urban evading around the edge of the map, it just means staying out of sight of the killer, and if more survivors practiced this solo games would go a lot smoother.
Besides it's still possible to juke Nurses, you just don't use loops in the same way.
You do it in the open, or by changing direction once you've broken line of sight.

A lot of map reworkes killed stealth on a big scale. Too few line-of-sight-blockers, and even if you get out of sight, there is exactly one point where you could have gone.
So stealth no consist in crouching away whenever you hear a heartbeat, or at least thats how i see others play.

Hits from the nurse should be considered as special attack
Survivors should see where the nurse will appear after the blinks - doesnt really matter in High MMR anyway, so a bit of help for casuals
Nurse cannot blink through dropped pallets.
And now, Nurse would no longer be broken.

She would be trash. Your post is screaming "I want to have 100% counterplay and camp pallets"

The game was intended to be played more stealthily and chases were deadlier.
I don't know where you even picked this idea. When Nurse came out it was the time of double pallets, pallet vacuum, no vault blocking/infinites and no bloodlust. Chases where deadlier only when survivors didn't know how to expoit those mechanics.

All that does is make her more frustrating for the nurse player while not fixing her actual issues

The OP is kinda right when the game first came out they didn't think or consider looping to be part of the game it was more hide/stealth to get around, soon as people found out you could loop killers the game changed from what they intended it to be to a game in which you can loop killers.

That would definitely stop me from playing Nurse, yeah.

Nah, what she needs is to earn her power like Oni
Her power is better than Oni's Demon Mode and is available at all times, its time for a change
6 -
I don't think that would change anything, though.
She'd still be Nurse. She just has a longer cool down now. She'd be weaker, sure, but her problems would still be there.

yes but with that change there would be counterplay, survivors can try to stealth his power.

Nurse that had up to 7 blinks, that was 4.0 m/s, and didn't have to wait for blink charges, was designed when looping wasn't officially part of the design.

Not necessarily, because like Oni it could be based on a timer or some sort of limit
yknow saying that an idea popped into my head and now I wanna write an entire post on its own thatll take me hours to write and get maybe 5 views, just like the rest of em
but it doesnt matter if people look at em or not, I have fun writing em
also gonna experiment with this since the forums are bugged atm @NomiNomad did this ping you?

Sorry, it's been a minute. Was a bit busy.
And nah, didn't see any ping.

What are you talking about? Looping was there from the start, windows never blocked and it was always fast vaults. Many complain today but back then it was worse for killers.
Now about nurse her wrecking power is equal to a 3 or 4 SWF squad, so nerfing her and not nerfing SWF seems not fair to me. She already received a lot of nerfs meanwhile SWF receives little to none. The devs need to adress that before and stop ruining solo q survivors and perks like selfcare..

I'd say as with a lot of other killers the solution shouldn't be to rework the character, but to make the game more dynamic. Maps and perks adjusting to the killer, as well as score events and emblems being given different. Like, if you have a killer that seems to have been designed with stealth as counterplay in mind (spirit or deathslinger, for example), you'd get different Evader emblem points than for example against trapper.
For nurse this could mean more convoluted and maybe slightly bigger than usual maps, balancing her map mobility

If you break line of sight, there is always more than one way. You can even hide behind the wall, double back when she blinks, then go back when she blinks again. It's not hard. If it is for you, then that's a you problem. I've had Nurses drop chase simply because too much time is being wasted.

And Myers is a relic from when survivors would hide and seek. He needs a buff. Tier 1 speed debuff needs to go! And as soon as he hits a survivor in tier 1 he should instantly go into tier 2 without needing to stalk. The game goes to fast for him to be wasting time stalking for a minute when the game starts.

Oni? Boring?
Since when was this a thing?
