The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Guardian + new basekit haste = Survivors outrunning even 115% killers.
Basically, it's the title. With the new basekit 10% haste speed an unhooked survivor saved by Guardian will outrun even 115% killer for 8 seconds PLUS no scratch marks or blood pools AND the unhooker will see the Killer's aura for that 8 seconds. That's utterly insane - three extremely powerful effects with no requirements aside from "unhook someone" or cooldown?
It's obviously even worse for the 110% killers.
BHVR once more changes something without looking into the possible repercussions with existing perks/abilities - unless it's on killers (Vale, Awakened Awareness).
Seriously, their QA team (ha!) needs to look into this brand new thing called "regression testing".

Does a grand total of nothing if they don’t use it to run away and try to take a hit instead. If they run away, nothing is bodyblocking your way to the unhooker. If they try and take a hit, the speedboost does nothing cause they’re staying in your face.

The effect on the game you would get from running guardian would be negligible.

Its about time Guardian is a useful perk.
It is so niche to begin with--it previously required the killer to be close or returning to hook, with interest in tunneling the recently unhooked survivor, but having no line of sight on the recently unhooked survivor, in order to "get value."
I'm not sure what the problem is here? BHVR wants to discourage tunneling as much as possible, and this does just that. Unless you tunnel every game, this really shouldn't be an issue.

It's 8 seconds. It's useful for getting distance from the hook and make it harder for the killer to tunnel you off hook. But it'll wear off and then the survivor is left vulnerable.

Current devs don't care killer.
They buff survivor and nerf killer only.

Don’t tunnel and you won’t notice anything

Guardian solved the entire "heal under hook vs heal elsewhere" dilemma so thats aleays been something.

False

There are Killer Powers that make those Killers faster so knowing is half the battle
yea Survivors have the ability to be faster then 115% but that's only for so long and if the Survivor is using the perk
Also it matters what's around within those 8 seconds

Nothing about this is problematic. Just don't tunnel, that's all there is. The basekit endurance and haste as well as perks like Guardian have the sole purpose of helping survivors counter tunneling. There doesn't need to be another requirement than unhooking a survivor, because all it does is help the survivor to not get tunneled. Easy as that.

Excellent up for soloq on the other hand it up the teams with their discord cheat which gives them 76 advantages...
Teams should be deleted.

That's the point, giving a chance for the unhooked survivor to make some distance. Don't tunnel and you won't even notice they're faster.

...It's 8 seconds, it will mean nothing the vast majority of the time if the killer tunnels, they won't somehow lose a survivor that was right in front of them just because they move a sliver faster than them for a couple of seconds. 117% is 4.68m/s, that means for 8 seconds, survivors can move 0.08m/s faster than a standard killer, which amounts to a grand total distance of - drum roll - 0.64m. Not even 1 meter, you aren't even getting out of lunge range with this.
And it will mean even less than nothing if the killer doesn't tunnel.
It never stops to boggle my noggle what people make of all the ######### perks in this game. "Utterly insane"? Nobody that's not clueless has ever seriously used Guardian and they won't then either. It's still not even scratching the surface of being remotely meta-viable. Increase its effects to 30 seconds and you may have a perk people sometimes will consider actually using and sometimes may get some actual value out of. Increase it to 60s and you may actually have a meta-viable perk, and even then it's literally only useful if the killer wants to hard tunnel, something that should be getting rebalanced at a base game level to begin with.

Is this for real? Time for you to hit the books my guy

"Just don't tunnel and it won't affect you!!!" like these super strong perks aren't used to bodyblock or gen rush the nearest gen after the killer is forced (strongly encouraged) to go to another gen/survivor
1 -
how does guardian get any value whatsoever if the unhooked survivor bodyblocks with it? its entire purpose is for running away.

Look me in the eye and tell me how often you see people bringing guardian. It's probably sitting at a 0.4% pick rate.

You can run ahead of the killer to bodyblock them, I suppose. A lot of survivors try and fail to block me because they're too slow. This might make the difference, but as usual, you would really only run into it against SWF. And they have FAR more powerful synergy to run than circumstantially blocking the killer.

Repeat after me: Chase! The! Unhooker!

The funny thing will be if someone who has Hope is rescued by someone who has Guardian after the Exits are powered, they'll be moving 125% speed for 8 seconds, then 117% for an additional 2 seconds, and finally 108% speed the rest of the way out the gates (probably).
