To learn the game as fast as possible, I'd recommend she plays killer when she is playing solo, and play survivor whenever you have a chance to play together.

It will be good for her to know what the killer sees

well first of all, get some friends and play together for fun in custom games. don't make it too hard so she understands how the game works and what's fun about it. It's the easiest way to introduce a new player to the game, without sending her right away into the salty online community

Play a couple rounds of KYF so you can teach her what to do in situations

    Then play Survivor matches (4-5)

Then have her play Killer matches (4-5)

Then have her tell you what she thinks of how the matches went

Watch videos of other people playing the game. Learning how to play DBD is pretty unique, you can't really just pick it up and have success. I would also recommend playing survivor first because it will teach you about the movement patterns of survivors. If you play the game fresh as killer you are going to have to go through a lot of games where you never down or hook anyone before you start to learn anything.

Watch videos, and play survivor, that is your best way to get better at the game.

Get a refund and get her into Ark instead.

Killer is less miserable starting out if I had to say. Baby survivors make the game seem hopelessly imbalanced and impossible to escape when matched against even baby killers. Its probably best for them to learn killer first, which can also teach you a lot about survivor gameplay and how to loop, then pick up survivor later.

Play kyf mode and don't drop into live matches until you cover basic and common situations.

Definitely let her know how much toxic the game is.

refund this game and buy a better multiplayer or co op game.

in all seriousness I'd recommend survivor, but it might be frustrating for her. I'd say try both sides, then she can make her opinion on which one is more fun for her.

Do the tutorial for both sides. If you wanna play together survivor obviously.

If the have any interest in killer have them start with Wraith or Huntress and then find a video explaining all the killers if they like the role.

Tell her that if she wants to play killer, she should play Spirit. She will then be filled with joy after realizing how amazing Rin is.

He should also tell her that a certain purple Add-on is toxic (literally) which crashes her game so she should keep her hands from that Add-on.

Obviously if she’s looking to mostly play solo then go for killer, if she’s mainly looking to play together with you and other friends go for survivor.

Also keep in mind custom matches against bots are coming in the 2022 roadmap. We don’t know exactly which month but given they’ve already completed a lot of the parts of that roadmap bots could be as soon as even the next midchapter if we’re lucky, who knows? 🤷‍♂️ Either way, once they’re in it will probably be a great way to try the game out.

And lastly there’s the option of DbD Mobile which is free to play and already has custom matches against bots. The mobile version is solid except that controls on a tablet are harder to use than mouse and keyboard or a console controller. But if you want to just get a gist of how the game works without shelling out money, that’s a way to do it. Similarly if she’s a Playstation Plus subscriber then Dead by Daylight is free to members currently. (My nephew was trying it out in that, said he likes playing as Huntress. 🙂)

Just don't. If you do explain it's all over the place especially rn and it won't b very fun .
