3 concern with the new bt basekit

My first concern with the new bt

With the new base bt people are gonna use this to block small passage ways like door ways or In pallets my solution to this is to have the surivor not have collisions with the killer so if the killer is not tunneling it won't make an effect but if they are they have time to make it to something

==========================

Second concern end game collapse

while this is supposed to

dis-encourage tunneling and camping the killer only has 1 objective kill and a surivors will just wait at the gate till healed And if that person gets off the hook their out Because everyone else will take hits

(I missed point here so I am fixing it)

Endurance effect aside the now 10% speed boost that's leaves most 115 killers only 5% faster so even if it is 1 person body blocking a portion of the killers cant catch then in time and the ones that can still have to stall the 10s or they get another speed boost for hitting them too early

and we still don't know if bt is gonna be changed so they will be going at 110 for 20s with endurance the whole time

==========================

3rd What will happen to bt

Will it extend to 20s or be changes to 5s or have a new effect because few people are gonna run it

My only concern is that probably there shouldn't be a basekit with the effect of a perk. If they want to change BT they can change the perk itself instead of simply adding like a 5th free perk to the kit. But I guess leave it to them to test it and see what's best.

Agree with your first point. Basekit BT (only basekit tho no other endurance effect) should make the unhooked survivor lose collision.

I'm not getting your second point, is that not what happens now if survivors choose to rescue someone during endgame? I really don't get why everyone is acting like they haven't dealt with BT during endgame as if pre-patch survivors weren't constantly bringing it. The counterplay during endgame for this is the same as it always been. Forcing trades.

Your third point, I think bhvr forgor about the perk BT and they probably will not let a 20s BT go live. At least I hope.

Pre-update, lots of people used the BT perk and I can tell you as a solo player that not many would take the hit with BT. They certainly didn't take the hit with the 5s BT and I can't see them taking the hit with the 10s one either. Swfs? Sure, but they always have for their friends, regardless of this change.

True I don't expect all of them if like 3 is alive but 1 if I make play

The unhooked survivor should lose collision

Why all it dose is prevent them for forcefully taking agro

BT should last only when you're like 3 m around the hook and then it should get removed in case you stick around another survivor.

That's the point of it, to prevent tunneling, if you run around another survivor you're intentionally making yourself tunnelable.

If you lose the BT after you leave the hook radius and you're around another survivor, that would help with the free end game escape too.

Now it will make it more challenging if you want to escape in the end game.

Let's say all gens are done, and you're on the hook, if someone comes and unhooks you, you kind of need to wait a bit for them to run away, otherwise your BT will get removed once you leave the hook radius, cause you'll be in close proximity of the other player. This will make it still possible to escape end game, but it will be more challenging.

Yeah, survivors should really lose collision after an unhook for a few seconds, and I question the sanity of anyone who thinks they shouldn't

This sounds like hatch stand off all over again on paper it sounds like a good idea but it will turn into who ever moves first loses

I don't see any of these as problems.

I guees I wouldn't mind if they removed survivors collision box during the endurance effect. But I also don't see how that's so problematic either. If the survivor that got unhooked bodyblocks, they just make themselves more vulnerable to being tunneled. It also simply discourages the killer just a tiny bit more to stay near hooked survivors, or immediately return back to the hooked survivor after they are unhooked, which in my opinion also just promotes healthy gameplay.

The second and third points are absolutely no problems however, and should not be changed. It's nice that survivors will now have somewhat fairer chance to actually get eveyone out during the end game. The end game is tilted quite a bit in the killers favor if survivors try to go for a save, so this is a good change in that regard as well. There is no reason for killers to have a fair chance at getting a 4K, but survivors not having a fair chance at getting a 4 man escape.

Also, I really hope BT will keep the extra 10 seconds. I guess I wouldn't be too mad if it got nerfed, but I hope it won't. Because then it would still be an interesting and attractive option, but it wouldn't feel mandatory anymore now with the 10 seconds of basekit BT.

Can you elaborate ? I can't seem to understand what you're trying to say

If the survivor leaves the hook radius and there's no other survivor close to him, he's fine. All he has to do is wait a little bit after he gets unhooked for the other guys to bounce from his proximity, now BT works as usual.

It will only not work if the unhooked survivor leaves the hook radius and is close to another survivor, which will be his fault cause he can just run in another direction.

They could maybe highlight his aura to the other survivors just so they don't make the mistake of bumping into him unintentionally.

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding

So I'll say what I thought you were saying

endurance is tied to range from the hook so if they don't move they keep bt but if they move away form the hook they will lose it

If this true when in end game and a surivor is hooked near a gate all they have to do is nothing and they win now this is unlikely because you can just kill the savior but let's say something happened where getting them is not possible

I generally support the no collision on basekit bt since I don't see a downside for the unhooked survivor. - That being said, I also don't necessarily see every jimmy bodyblocking with bt; the increased haste actually makes it quite difficult to take a hit / block anything. .... Actually, now that I think about it; there were quite a few times where I accidentally sandbagged a teamie who unhooked me in basement because I came off the hook with bt & sb and inevitably ended up in front of them. Guess no collision would sove that one too.

As far as endgame is concerned; I get that some things feel to oppressive during endgame from the killer's pov. Namely DS. - But what's now basekit BT has existed before and it's nothing new. Just like survivors aren't guaranteed an escape once all gens are done, killers aren't guaranteed that everyone they hook will become a kill.

As far as the perk is concerned... I agree, that should probably get a proper rework.

That’s exactly why killers should hard tunnel at 5 gens.

  • Juicyman

No no, you're not allowed to tunnel. If there are 4 or 3 survivors left at endgame you have to do the courteous thing and open the exit gate for them, accepting the loss like a true gamer.

If it wasn't already StbfL is now the must have killer perk outside of a few killers.

I'm not even worried about tunneling

personally I find it just not fun but there's alot of vids where there's a swf the savior says take a hit I have bt this is just gonna become the normal

And may the entity forbid you hook someone near a gate their out if they get off

Hard tunneling at 5 gens is boring, I don't know what is so exciting about playing like this. It's a guaranteed 3 or 4 kills at the end of the match if you tunnel everybody out. What's the point of playing the game after all?

Plenty of perks do nothing but change the numbers of something basekit. What makes BT any different?

I mean, the game isn't determined until you either escape or die, anything can happen
