I think people are really underestimating the 10% Haste...
I've seen a few posts/people saying the speed boost is irrelevant....boy, are you going to be surprised.

110% Killers will have fun for sure xD.
Poor hag if she has no traps near by.
8 -
1/5 exhaustion perks yay
2 -
with guradian/babysitter that's 117%
yet another W for guardian/babysitter users
10 -
Add in Guardian and go up to 117% speed so even normal speed killers will have a fine time. Might be the time for Boon: Dark Theory to finally shine to boost that escape velocity up to 119% and give normal killers that crazy 1% advantage :>
1 -
The thing is it's not gonna do anything against the best killers. Nurse, Blight, Huntress, Spirit don't care much about this. Hell even wraith can deal with it okay.
3 -
People are always understimating numbers, but especially the magical 10% ... the same people were claiming that "10% general killer buffs will do nothing", while I sat there and thought "you know how often I whiffed by just THAT much? Nearly all those close encounters would now be a hit". And now some people are talking doom and gloom and that killers can't be beat unless they throw the game or "only got 2 brain cells".
This is just DBD and its community :) Some crazy SWFs will quickly weaponize the speed, everyone else will finally be able to just escape from the unhooking scenario and leave the killer to deal with the unhooker.

i main her and I’m gonna be crying every match now.
1 -
Its a Hag, she will have at least 8 Traps nearby.
15 -
I don't think the speed is irrelevant. I think killers should play for quick 1 for 1s knowing that basekit BT/Guardian is in a thing
3 -
Yeah it has me concerned for the end game collapse
3 -
But why? Shouldn't survivors also have a fair chance at getting a 4 man escape? Because I feel at the moment, the end game is definitely in the killers favor of getting one kill during it, which doesn't seem fair. We got the hatch mechanic so that killers would have a fairer chance at getting a 4k as well.
2 -
To be fair if there’s a hook save against Hag odds are pretty good she’s going to aim for hitting the rescuer with Make Your Choice. 😉
1 -
Surivors will be running at 110 for 10-20s if bt is unchanged with endurance the whole time
Making 110 killers allready out of the picture unless your deathslinger or spirit
And other killers without mobility like nemesis won't be able to catch them Because your only going 5% faster and they get a speed boost if you hot them because of endurance
Now you could say just don't go for them if they have endurance for 20s with bt their just gonna block a door way of someone to stop you from getting the person who was blocking them
3 -
if it's end game, add in adrenaline or sprint burst and oh boy that's gonna be fun lmao
3 -
It's not going to make any difference.
People thinking increasing the basekit BT is going to do anything against tunneling are wrong. I've seen it first hand, killers will simple hit you off hook instantly and then keep chasing. They don't care if you have 5, 10 or 40 seconds of BT. They'll hit you instantly and get rid of it.
1 -
Yes, obviously. I am simply saying that them increasing it to 10 seconds instead of 5 virtually doesn't make a difference to truly protect against tunneling.
1 -
Are there regular Guardian users? I've only ever been unhooked with it once and was so surprised to see it I didn't really make the most of it sadly
0 -
BT is largely better then Guardian hence why Guardian doesn't get used. With the upcoming patch this will actually change since the basekit buff is honestly enough on it's own for most situation that BT won't be the objectively better option.
Not to mention it was stealth buffed at one point (AFAIK it was never stated in a patch notes). For a while it used to show you the killer aura and the killer your aura when you unhook someone. It now only shows the killer aura to you.
1 -
I kind of think the Haste is probably the more significant and healthier part of the change. They seem to be comfortable with increasing the Endurance effect, but I'd honestly be fine if they did something like 5 seconds of Endurance so you get 5 seconds to get to a tile (so no direct off hook hits) and did 20/30 seconds of the Haste effect. A long Haste effect takes some skill to utilize, can't be used for body blocking, and really effectively discourages tunneling.
I just hope that they don't require the Haste and Endurance to be tied to each other. So if they say, "Endurance of 10 seconds is too long especially with BT," I'd like to see them consider making the Endurance shorter and the Haste longer.
It would be nice if they made the aura reading work for the unhooked survivor too. The buff was also definitely in patch notes because I remember the change. I think it happened at the same time that the perk became a common perk so it may have been difficult to find.

Yeah, I can't wait for my teammates to throw themselves at the killer chasing someone else so they can try to get an endurance hit then complain about being "tunneled".
It's bad enough how often that happens now with OTR. Come next patch, they'll be doing it even faster.
1 -
117% is already a 2% advantage in the survivors favour.
1 -
Ah yes! I messed up ^^ 115% killers are called that for a reason :P
0 -
Happens to the best of us XD
0 -
People are completely underestimating the Haste buff. It's amazing
0 -
While I agree It won't be too useful vs the the top tier killers. There is a timing to guaranteed hits on blight and that speed boost will change the timing drastically while they are wiggling and spinning. It's why I just bump along with someone holding w when they are using lithe/SB.
0 -
Just go after the unhooker?
3 -
Don't forget about Hope - that might be glorious to watch a survivor just go mach 2 away from a hook endgame.
2 -
If they get unhooked in your face, just wait for the unhook animation to finish and then hit the unhooked survivor. There goes their endurance.
0 -
yeah, made a post and asked someone to test the build for me

Honestly I'll be too busy enjoying the queue incentives and cheaper nodes to care. If the incentives still work multiplicatively I'll be getting loads of items and addons by spending those BP boosters. Gonna be great.
Either way I'm sure they'll tone the basekit BT effect down in midchapter if it turns out to be too much. It does seem stupid strong in endgame though.

With the AoT update, I've been partial to Desperate Measures, BT, Guardian and NOLB;I gotta say that I'm so stoked forthe new update.
0 -
You can. but they still get a speed boost for the hit and keep the haste. This is only a concern for me at the end game
0 -
doesn't matter cause if the killer wants to tunnel/camp you, they are going to. Plus if it get's abused somehow it's gonna be nerfed. Clowns if you ask me.
0 -
Pair it with Guardian and Hope, you'll be zooming!
0 -
Normal Killers are 115%, the survivors would outrun the killers.
0 -
I mean, outrunning the killer in this one scenario, ie getting away from the hook and preventing an easy tunnel, I am sorta behind that.
Everything else is theory crafting,ie what's the maximum possible speed someone can attend. I remember seeing several theory crafting videos were they showed the theoretical maximal heal speed with everyone sitting around the hook to throw on all their various buffs etc.
But Guardian will indeed make survivors zoom off like mad!
1 -
Unhook BT is 10%
Guardian is an extra 7%.
No One Left Behind is 7%.
Dark Theory is 2%
Hope is 7%
Refined Serum is 5%
Clown Yellow Bottle is 10%
Sprint Burst is 50%
Blood Pact is 7%
Breakout is 7%
For a grand total of +112% movement or 212% or 8.48m/s. It's technically possible, get unhooked, use a med-kit with refine serum, teammate with blood pact "For The People" you, The killer clown is carrying a survivor and has his haste gas, As you sprint burst right by with the nearby Dark Theory totem. This is completely unreasonable, but it's possible.
More realistically though
Guardian, No One Left Behind on the unhooker
You have Hope, Adrenaline/Sprint Burst
+83% movement or 183% or 7.32m/s. If Dark Theory is nearby then you get an extra 2% movement for a total of +85% or 185% or 7.4m/s
0 -
you know killers move at 115%, not 120% right? this will be fun
1 -
I'm happy with the boost. It at least get's you a fighting change to make it to a jungle gym or something. I'm a lither, so if I can make it, I'm away for good. XD

I remember people underestimated 50sec Gen
