NEW CHAPTER: A TWIST OF FATE (SPIRIT IS NOW RIN, A SURVIVOR)

A while back, another forum member and I were discussing dream chapter ideas. The forum member brought up a fantastic idea.
It's about a twist of fate.
What if BHVR had chapters where certain Killers had become Survivors instead of Killers?
Hold your horses. I'm not saying Spirit is removed from the game. I'm saying that Rin is added to the game as a Survivor. Here's how it would work. In an alternate reality, at the moment Rin was dying, the Entity took her and made her into a Survivor--dooming her to repeat her trauma. How's that for a new level of horror! The Entity is such a malevolent being that it wants Survivors to re-live their darkest moments and literally face off against their darkest selves. It's a very nuanced and mature lore, to be honest. Rin facing Spirit is a literal manifestation of the "sliding doors" theory/the butterfly effect. The idea that our entire lives could've gone differently if only we had made one different decision.
Personally, I would love to see Spirit as a Survivor. I've always felt bad for her and thought her lore was among the best. Her cosmetics would be incredible, too, and simply seeing Rin and Spirit in the same game would be so cool. On that note, I think having a similar cosmetic for both Rin and Spirit that incorporates a butterfly would be a nice homage to the "butterfly" effect idea.
**This idea is also applicable for other characters, but I'd love for it to start with Spirit and Rin.**

I've seen fan content play around with role switches between survivors and killers, and it's really cool to imagine what powers would survivors have if they were a killer, or how killers would adapt if they had been survivors.
I'd love to see Survivor!Wraith as well !

Yeah, I like the idea of a character being both a killer and a survivor. I had a similar suggestion a while back for a chapter where the Observer becomes both a survivor AND a killer. Basically he has conjured up a dark version of himself, a "creature of the id" or Hyde to his Jekyl, so can appear simultaneously as both a survivor and a killer in a match. His killer ability would probably involve conjurations or the Entity helping him out in various ways, while his survivor perks might have to do with killer and map knowledge and summoning ways to help himself survive.

Personally I love the idea of a chapter based around the butterfly effect, where one event early on in someone's life leads them to be either a survivor or a killer, and the survivor and killer in that chapter would be the same person. If you need to bring Black Vale into it you can ig

Along with Spirit and Trickster, I would also totally be here for Artist as a survivor, or possibly even Blight.
As for survivor -> killer, Meg already has a lot of experience killing survivors anyway so she's my top pick.

Personally it should be Blight because I thought in his lore he did start out as a survivor and was one of the closest to escaping the entity before becoming a killer. I might be entirelly misremembering it though xD

People already lust hard for Killer Ji-Woon. Survivor Ji-Woon might just break the game lol
(But that actually would be cool. I do really like the idea of having different universes/timelines converge. It also makes the Entity seem more powerful).

Trickster shouldnt be a survivor. Most killers and even the survivors who did bad things mostly were just pushed to those circumstances when they eventually snapped. Trickster is just a monster. He tourtures his victims and kills them not for survival, not because he doesnt know its wrong, not out of self defence but just because he enjoys it. Lots of killers have like turning points of when they became killers Trickster just enjoys it. He would definitely be my least favourite killer to see as a survivor unless they somehow entirely reworked his personality and backstory.

I was thinking he'd be the Killer in the chapter. But maybe they could expand on the lore a bit to make that more understandable; like maybe the Entity poisoned his mind (similar to The Amityville Horror), and after killing his family, he's overcome with excruciating regret and disbelief and goes to take his own life. The Entity then takes him as a Survivor, where he has to relieve the same fear he inflicted on his family, trial after trial. And instead of Rin vowing revenge and becoming the Killer, his wife could do it. But I'd honestly like Rin's mom as a Survivor, too.

If they added an alternate Rin Yamaoka to the game as survivor and many of her cosmetics also cross over that'd be amazing any I'd be all for it.
They could easily make a few pesos off of having auric cell-only cosmetics that applied to both Spirit and Rin.

This was my idea I think though if it was someone else feel free to correct me but I remember your username from something. I can't remember the original thread but I put more organized idea from the thread into the creations section. Maybe that was a mistake because it's quite dead in there but it does belong there and my stuff got moved a bit already at the time. I started with Joey but always planned to do Rin, Philip and Susie too.
The simple premise is that we can explain multiple survivors in one trial due to different universes. The observer even makes a comment on 'Emperor Dwight'. Considering how ridiculous that is, Joey, Rin, Susie and Philip being survivors is a much smaller leap. The idea is that one decision changed the path of each to make them a survivor rather than a killer. Rin would be taken by sadness rather then hatred. Joey and Susie would refuse to kill the cleaner and be mortally wounded by Frank and Julie. Philip would not kill Azarov but instead be killed by him.
I was going to update that thread once I had the model done. People tend to like pretty pictures more then words but words are the only thing I've got.
I'm still working on it and have someone working on a model for Joey survivor though fan artists can contact me with any of them if they want to help me out. I'll hire people to do it, but not for 'too' much.

RIGHT? There's so much BHVR could do with this! From perks, to cosmetics, to rifts. It could really up the game in a new and exciting way. I would love to play as Rin. Maybe there could even be a slightly different animation mechanic if Spirit moris Rin. Maybe they both do something slightly different, something that they don't do with anyone else. Could be anything really. Maybe after Spirit screams at the end of the mori, the camera looks at her eyes and we see her expression change (maybe in regret of what she did). Maybe Rin does something similar, like she asks, "Why?" right before she dies.

It is a very interesting concept. I'm curious how the survivor versions of some of the killers like Blight, Doctor, and Amanda (Pig) would turn out. They'd be "good guys", but have that heavy killer potential in them. They'd be more dark.
Particularly as some of the killers either were or were potentially survivors. Freddy, Sally Smithson, Amanda Young, Caleb Quinn. Caleb was a bastard for sure, but but he was built to survive. I have a feeling Amanda would be a ruthless survivor.

I'm not sure they could make Amanda and Freddy because of licensing issues (maybe though!). If BHVR let you choose one Killer to be a Survivor or vice versa, who would you choose?
