Should the tutorial get updated?
S0 you guys already know how bad people people can complain about things in this game or say they dont know how to play around a killer or perk so i was looking through here and saw something neat. Something kinda offhandedly said something about the tutorial being, well, outdated (and ######### really) so what if whenever a new killer or perks came out there was a tutorial for it? How it works, how to make it work WELL, and maybe how to play against it. Your guy's thoughts?

Keep in mind custom matches against bots are coming out this fiscal year, maybe even as soon as the October midchapter if we're lucky? 🤷♂️ (They've already completed a lot of items on their roadmap, the main things that are left are bots, putting moris in the base game, and streamer mode, and of those three bots seem like they'd be the biggest project and highest priority probably.) Regardless on when they get added, custom matches against bots will probably be a great way to practice new stuff without getting completely trounced while you're just learning the basics.

Yes. The majority of complaints in this game boil down to skill issue/lack of player knowledge, which a better tutorial/tips system would help with.

It should give you 1 million bp bonus, so you can start at least one char halfway.

So i saw your thread on should nurse get nerfed and knew you were a smart person and wanted to ask this and how she is indirectly buffed by matchmaking and maps could you give me a paragraph or something on how the game can get less people who complain?

I'd honestly be fine if the tutorial was expanded.
-Killers can be someone other than 0-perk Trapper AND Survivors can be someone other than 0-perk (I think Dwight? Is the Survivor game only Dwight?)
-Loadouts can be tested; including perks, addons, items, and offerings (so that you're not on the same map every time)
-People can get a feel for how their role functions in a nice and isolated space, albeit with less-than normal intelligence participants (because coding AI is hard)
As SuzuKR "skill issue/lack of player knowledge, which a better tutorial/tips system would help with." Maybe even while in the tutorial game, little help boxes can pop up with some interactions and guide the player on useful info. Instead of the generic "here is this thing, it do this" you get in the segmented tutorial parts and boring walls of text from before you unlock the bot match.
Something else that could help is maybe guiding new players to the tutorial, and have them complete one side (the side they might want to try first), so they don't jump into a match and die, sandbag, or both. (The already lock Wraith and David behind tutorial completion, so this would help get them out faster).

People will always complain about anything and everything in this game, that is unavoidable. However, it can be reduced by improving matchmaking further if possible (to reduce wide skill gap matches), and better in-game tutorials and guides as and against every killer, so there is easily accessible knowledge for less-experienced players. The absolute majority of complaints in this game are a skill/knowledge-issue, not an actual problem.

Realistically, the tutorial will not teach people how to play against every Killer and perk. We're coming up on 29 Killers and 213 perks. That'd be far too much to expect anyone to sit through when they just picked up the game. Not only would it get very boring, but it would also be an information overload. Tutorials are meant to teach you the fundamentals, but strategies against specific perks & Killers are something that's best left to learning through experience.
We are, however, working on adding bots to custom matches. This will give people a no stress place to practice and experiment with the various perks first hand before they hop into public lobbies.

Isnt the game already a info overload to any new(me) players who picked up the game? Most so people who didnt watch dbd content like i did from monto and noob3 and others on a infrequent basis will kinda not know how do do most things, And adding on you cant play killers or survivors who you dont own in custom game and i would like if i could you i could know how they work outside of youtube videos from youtubers on pc.
