God you can tell all the Nemesis players jumped ship to Wesker
Day 1 stereotype is that he's just like Nemesis in that they're excellent at camping and hard tunneling through buffed BT at 5 gens
At least he's more engaging to deal with than the Tentacle

I'd try to argue that every killer is playing wesker rn, but I just came out of a nurse game so

Wesker is good at tunneling unfortunately because the infection only resets to 50% when getting hooked so eventually you just get Hindered again if you get tunneled off the hook

Maybe the game needs a perk where you can deploy a decoy of yourself to distract the killer for a few seconds lol but if it was too effective, it would have to be nerfed because killer players would cry about it.

Yeah, no kidding. Every match I've had with Wesker so far, he would tunnel me or someone else out of the game at 4-5 gens. I've only had 1 nice Wesker so far.

Give it a week - He's a new killer so everyone is wanting to get a chance to play him or get his adept achievement out of the way.

im excited for them to unlock the wonderful QuadRegressionCombo:tm: and discover true fun in my games

doesn't this always happen with a new popular killer or update? I don't understand why you're surprised.

Not from my experience

Happened with the 5th anniversary when nemesis came out. Maybe resident evil fans are just toxic or something lmao. Don't wanna generalize though.

It does feel like the people brought in by RE really like to facecamp and tunnel at 5 gens (even 5 years later with Nemesis). It's great fun. Wish killer queues weren't hell for the past month because I've missed playing it

I just play at night, it's more quicker but it wasn't like how it used to be (instant games at night and queue times that last for 2 minutes during the day). Now it takes like 10 minutes for a game during the day and a minute or less during the night.

I thought reassurance was going to kill camping?

Well to be honest - Hardcore Resident Evil fans are pretty well elitist when you go deep into the community. I won't shy away from it - I'm treading in between but overall I'm pretty welcoming to newcomers of the franchise. Just most of the Resident Evil hardcore fans will completely ######### on you if you're not 100% supportive of complete accuracy to the roots of the original games. Almost a death sentence to mention you like RE6 on any hardcore fans Resident Evil stream for example. I don't like RE6 - I think it's a bad game. Although if someone enjoys it that's awesome - more power to them.
That being said - Even with that specific thing in mind I doubt it's specifically hardcore fans camping it out. People just want to try out the new DLC and have fun. Once they get bored of it most will move on. Wesker is actually quite balanced where he's not too strong or weak so most people will move on from him once they had their fun with them because I doubt he'll sneak into the top meta picks.

I distinctly remember about 30 thousand threads on how the nerfs to Reassurance would make it terrible in solo queue but do go off babes

True, I myself don't see that many malicious nemesis mains anymore. It was only rampant for me during the release.

Whenever there's a big spike in new players doesn't tunneling and camping increase and then die back down a few days later? That's my experience at least
It's also a little bit worse, in my opinion, since people that want the adept Rebecca and Ava achievements won't be running OTR and exhaustion perks. That'll level off as well once people have the achievements.

they nerfed reassurnace before it hit live servers

People of all backgrounds and preferences are trying out the new killer.
Sure, RE fans who already mained Nemesis probably try out Wesker as well.
But there is no reason at this point to say they "jumped ship" or even to draw conclusions on who tunnels and camps the most.
