Blast mine nerf is unjustified.
Like why would you nerf a perk on a licensed character that got new cosmetics and the fact that there's much better alternatives like repressed alliance or situational awareness even wire tap is helpful and they are not shown to killer like blast mine does and in case if killer is using ruin or jotl, why would he kick gen in the first place?

I DO NOT LIKE THIS NERF LMAO

I've heard word that it wasn't a nerf. It was just broken, for an entire year, and they didn't know until the wesker perk caused problems.

I don’t like being blinded by this perk, or that I have to kick the gen after, out of spite, and the survivor probably has a good lead on me. And I still don’t think this was needed

Appraisal, Pharmacy, and now Blast Mine.
Seems to me that BHVR hates fun, gimmicky perks for survivor.
What's next? Diversion? Head On? Red Herring?

Why do I believe this is actually 100% possible.

If that's the case, it was broken in a way that allowed it to be usable as a fun meme perk, if not an actually strong one, and the fixed state is so terrible nobody would ever use it.
Leaving Blast Mine in its current state would be a terrible idea.

#FreeBlastmine
Stop the injustice! Release Blast Mine.

It's gonna be the pebble

To be fair the functionality of it didn't change so that I'm fine with, you just have to use it more reactively. Most people ended up using it for letting survivors know which generator you're on which wiretap can do now but much cheaper.

So was broken but devs decided to let it that way I love it

nooooo they failed to notice for a year
I agree, i'm only here now to check notes to see if it was restored in the update

Blast mine was never intended to be charged once and then you can use it indefinitely. Look at the flash bang perk - you have to work a gen then you get the blind. You have to prime the perk and then you get one use and that's it.
It's very strong for solo queue for telling people where you are working a generator. It's very strong for countering Overcharge as well.

Sadly thats more common than you would think, Surveillance was bugged for ~20 months or so.

Between the devs not playing their own game and no one thinking that Blast Mine was bugged, it's very easy for Blast Mine's bug to be swept under the radar until the devs looked at the code to introduce a new perk.
Surveillance was bugged in a way that made it more useful thus no one complained about it so the devs likely weren't aware of it for the longest time.

I believe they were aware of Surveillance because it was talked on the forum when it released (not sure but I believe even someone from the team acknowledge the bug) I think they just gave the bug 0 priority since it wasnt THAT broken.
The whole Blast Mine I think the code was there but it didnt work and whoever coded the perk either doesnt work on DBD anymore, didnt care or didnt use the perk more than a few times and didnt realize but once someone looked at it realized "hey this perk isnt doing what the code tells it should be doing".

It was never intended that way yet the description did describe it that way?
It was never broken. It's a nerf the dev's can't justify and they are too proud to admit it was stupid.

Read what the mods wrote. You were supposed to lose the ability the second you applied it to the generator regardless of the killer kicking the generator or not.
0 -
Yeah I just absolutely don't believe that since it wasnt what was described. You can't bug a description.

This is what the old text said. What you're not seeing here is that it does not say : you are supposed to lose the ability once you use it.
This actually explains WHY you are supposed to lose the perk. Because you are literally placing a modified Flash Grenade on the generator.

I'm 100% confused by your comment, you first agreed with me that the old description confirmed it wasn't supposed to deactivate, as devs say, then you read a trivia that is litterally only talking about the fact that there is a litteral flash grenade on top of the generator, but doesn't share the properties of an actual flash grenade.
