Wesker needs to be fixed, not buffed

So, I tried Wesker and after some matches all the hype I had for him literally died.

First of all: Dash

The dash doesn't grab survivors 90% of the time, though the survivor is literally in front of you. It's sad to loose a chase only because the hitbox is so ######### and sometimes you bounce away from the pallet if a surv manage to throw it with good timing (I'm ok with the stun, but bouncing away like a pinball isn't good).

Second: Infection

I don't know, someone really managed to get fully infected survivors more than 1 or 2 times in a match? Personally, in only one match I managed to get all 4 survivors full infected, but only because they didn't heal themselves.

So, when he was in the ptb I thought Wesker would be an A/B tier killer, now I think is C tier. You can't use the power 99% of the time, and even if you try to use it to gain a bit of map control, it doesn't do much.

Wesker is like "Have you ever imagined what it would be like to play nurse without her being able to blink through wall?" and he isn't fun at all (but that's my opinion).

So, now I ask all the people who read this post to give their opinion, trying to be as objective as possible.

I knew that when it was announced he was getting "buffs" after already being pretty good, that it would turn out like this. Still bugged but weaker than he was on ptb.

Just buff his survivor detection to 30cm from 20cm. It was 40cm on the PTB.

Infection is pretty non-existent because it's reliant on actually hitting survivors with your power which is hard to do when the collision is so precise.

Not to mention it feels like there's just too many sprays for survivors to expend. It's really hard to keep more than 1 survivor infected at any given time even if you do manage to constant hit your power.

The slowdown from the infection is pretty strong. The amount of First Aid Sprays isn't an issue for me.

However, his Bound is useless. After playing him for a good amount of time, I've yet to do something Demogorgon wasn't able to.

Every single one of my Bounds that connected could've been a Shred, and I would've gotten them even quicker

Pretty sure they don't get hindered unless they are fully infected. Which I've rarely seen in many of the games I've played as Wesker. Not to mention hooking a survivor partially resets the infection timer.

Not to mention the cooldown after a throw or slam doesn't seem to be any better than the successful attack cooldown. Rarely feels like it's better to slam/throw a survivor than it is to just M1 them.

This isn't really a complaint, but survivors getting the speed boost after picking themselves up from being thrown looks so off.

I think they need to either remove the charges from the First-Aid Bottle or remove some from the map. Nemesis has less and his infection his more easy to give.

The Green Herb Add-On somewhat alleviates the issue of full infection being rare.

I honestly think throwing a Survivor should injure on the floor and instadown on walls. Getting punished because the Survivors out-positioned (made a mistake) themselves is not good, nor is his 10 second cooldown on 2 baby Shreds, or his 1.5 charge time

I was so hyped for this chapter, but literally 5 Wesker games was enough to kill that hype entirely. I barely want to play the game and I literally force myself to sit on survivors to rush prestige 3 for Rebecca to get her perks and then I'll forget about the game for another 3 months or until devs bother to fix Wesker.

His hitbox seems a bit incosistent. So I am not even sure if the problem some people are having is the fact that the hit box was reduced to 20 cm, or because it's just a bit buggy.

I have been having a great time with Wesker however. He is such a well designed killer, and so fun. And I do like how you need more precision with his dashes now, so whatever the devs do, I hope they don't inrcease Wesker's hitbox noticeably. Increasing it from 20 to 25 cm would be fine, 35 cm would definitely be too much though, for example.

But maybe all they need to do are some fixes to his hit detection so it works more reliably.

survivors can still do the pallet vault thing btw, as far as i can tell the fix for that just flat out didn't work

But they need to fix the fact he Flys through survivors at the same time.

He nay also need another token base kit.

I will be honest I'm unsure what causes it - Consistently in all my games of playing Wesker I don't experience that issue at all. Meanwhile I've played against many Wesker players and while it is a small minority of them I've noticed that when it happens it occurs to them most of the game. Wondering if it has something to do with framerate or something along those lines. Yes I know the hitbox size was reduced but I personally don't notice it at all. This is in regards to Wesker going through survivors to clarify.

I think that less cooldown is better than another token, because the cooldown is eternal

If they have to 'fix' him, I really want them to fix his momentum. If he uses his power from a ledge, he loses all momentum the second he no longer touches the ledge. If he had the ability to launch himself properly off of hills and stuff, as well as being able to leap over the large holes in the floors on some maps, he could be really damn fun.

The issue I see with Wesker is, if they increase his hitbox grab, he's going to be insufferable. Unless it's very finely tuned, I don't want another killer (Nurse, certain types of Blight) that is uncounterable, and I'm just there for his fun. If he's on the level of Demo, which I think he already is, he can be a very good, balanced A tier. Buff him too much and you have another killer people will throw game against.

About the infection with uroboros thing, I've got mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it's reasonably "easy" to remove as the spray has 2 charges, so the impact isn't huge. On the other hand, the effect of it is so aggravating that if you allow it to consistently affect survivors it's just broken. 8% slower movement speed is HUGE. Especially if you're getting tunnelled it's just pointlessly strong.

Bro, both nurse and blight aren't uncounterable, you just have to learn how to counter and it's not like I can give you advice for example "If you see that she's blinking, then do this". You have to predict the predict, mind game. And the problem with the hitbox is that a lot of times also if the surv is in front of you, you don't grab him. As it is now it's c tier, in ptb was A tier. Doesn't have any map control and the infection is pretty useless, and also the power lots of times cannot be used because of some loops and you can only go for the m1.

And people already throw the game away with every killer, so it's not the problem of Nurse, blight ecc., it's the problem that lots of main survs want only easy game. This morning I did 2 matches, 3 rage quit and a guy killed himself first hook, so the problem is that surv mains do this for unknown reasons, or only because they want to see every killer nerfed to the ground at the point that there isn't any killer enjoyable.

I dont think Wesker is on the same Level as Demo at the moment. Demo have a way bigger Hitbox and also doesnt need to charge that long. Also making the Wesker Hitbox bigger is not really a buff its making him playeble.

The infection at the moment is right I guess. Survivors should have the more Sprays then Nemesis, because 8% movementspeed decresse is ######### huge.
