Really Devs? Really?

I'm sorry but this game is littered with bugs and probably the most offensive one is the infinite loading screen. So how are they gonna be constantly updating the store with cosmetics when they can't even get their game to work properly? I could also give like a full list of balance changes for both sides if I wanted to. It just seems like cosmetics are the least of our concerns right now. In short, fix your ######### game before giving us any unneccesary #########.

Agree so much. No cosmetic or balance fix is worth anything if there are too many bugs. And at the moment, there are plenty.

Cosmetic team isn't the same as the balance & fix team.

The Fix team are basically the coders, and the coders are the same who are implementing what the cosmetics team are giving them.
Furthermore, bhvr has limited money recources, so it's legit to say to say that they should put more resources into the coding team instead of the teams for cosmetic/event etc

You cant sell bug fixes though

Not directly, but in the long run. I know many friends who didn't bought it after a free weekend cuz of some bugs they encountered

A game that is well optimized and bug free will always get better press than one with the opposite. I don't see how frame drops and the infinite loading screen are attracting new players.

    Is that confirmed?
Sorry if you don't like skepticism, but hearing it from 1 person without anything to go on is sketchy to me.

How else are cosmetics getting into the game? Magic or what? Especially if it comes with physics.

Furthermore watch the dev stream of the creation of spirit, they show and explain how they work on that stuff

Don't you love it when people in this community think that cosmetics = bug fixes?

    I sure do.

Well if they want to do things optimally, they'd create a program to automatically implement cosmetics onto existing characters.
I get it with new characters, cause they're new.

@Boss So they have an entire team dedicated to cosmetics? I think they got their priorities wrong. Having said that the new Wraith skin does look good, Giddawid kinda calmed me down. Just want whats best for the game as an active player.

So they should fire the art department and only hire programmers? lmao

They have an art department, and a programming department. That isn't too hard to understand.

@DuckApproved Let me help you here, every single game has bugs, littered in bugs, some are harder to achieve than others, how bout this, try to be a dev for a day and fix a bug, then come back, it is an extremely hard

I don't think either of you understand what "team" means for this game means, it's like at max 5 people for the cosmetic/art team, many more programmers. at least i think

It's a myth they lack resources. At any one time there are between 10 and 15 people working solely on hex totem placement.

I was waiting for the new Nurse outfit to come back to the game after the poor event, so if there wasnt new cosmectics i wouldnt be playing...

I do prefer good cosmectics over fixing rare bugs such random infinite loading screens, but as everyone else other than u already knows, the teams have separate tasks which doesnt collide with each other.

@Bug_Reporter The infinite loading bug isn't rare its actually quite common. Also most people don't come back to any game for some cosmetics you either have to pay for or play for an absurd amount of time. Although good to know that the cosmetics team is a solid one. Thanks for the clarification @not_Queen you guys just keep doing what your doing!

Even harder when the bug isn’t easy to replicate and doesn’t seem to have a standard pattern that causes it to happen, recoding and error handling blind is by far the worst case, and from what I’d guess the loading screen bug is probably one of those situations.

I code for a living (not games) so I feel the pain.

Not sure why people are on the hunt for cosmetics team, when they have a full team dedicated to managing us riff raff on here!

I'm not sure if this was already mentioned. If you experience freezing (infinite loading screens), they would like you to send in that data so that they can better address the issue. The link is as follows:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/36016/please-do-this-if-your-game-freezes-or-takes-forever-to-load-in/p1

EDIT: It has information on what to do on the forum post. I saw it a while ago while I was experiencing an increase in infinite loading screens myself.

Very simple, there is no other game like DbD right now. The ones that exist are dead (Last year the nightmare and Friday the 13th)

There is no other choice if people want to play a game like this.

I would hope the devs wouldn't be so cynical. Just because they have a quasi-monopoly on this genre doesn't mean they can't improve their game.
