Chat filter is out of control

I've never seen such a bad filter in my life. 99% of the stuff I see censored isn't even a curse word. Even the name Claudette is sometimes ######### out. Just remove it at this point. It's absurd.

    Yeah, sometimes the ai isn't smart enough and thinks Steve is a bad word (even with spaces between each letter). Let's hope one day BHVR will manually tipe in bad words on a blacklist instead of using ai (I'm quite sure that currently an ai does the work).

    Best thing I had a while ago: "german" being a bad word but not "Russian" or "English".

    Somehow I thought that was quite funny.

    One time in pre-game chat it thought that Distortion was a curse.

    Once.

    I was telling people all day that I had Distortion and that if they see me bolt that probably means the Killer is aware of them as well. It only censored it in a single chat that day. What type of slur is only occasionally a slur?

    Part of their bizarre filter specifications check words within the context of surrounding words, and if they think some combination of words is sus, they'll keep blocking each of those words for you for the rest of the chat even if you can normally say them in isolation. Sometimes I haven't even been able to say GG.

    I could not for the life of me explain what those criteria are, though. I don't think it was something ever meant to be understood by man.

    It's the most absurd and broken chat censor I've ever seen in my life... I think it's inane regardless, seeing as this is an adult game about torture and murder - but we can't say naughty words? Get outta' here with that nonsense.

    At the very least, we should be able to toggle it on / off in the settings. I despise it.

    The word Rancor is censored lmao. 'Butt' is censored, but 'ass' is not. It's so very bad.
