Dear BHVR, Balanced Thanatophobia

Thanatophobia

For each injured, dying or hooked Survivor, Thanatophobia causes a stack-able 3%/4%/5% penalty to action speeds in healing, sabotaging, cleansing and blessing.

  • If all four Survivors are injured and not afflicted with the Broken status effect, Thanatophobia applies a 15% penalty to repair speeds.

What this Fixes

  • Rewards Survivors for trying to keep at least one of them healthy and no longer punishes them with instant repair speed penalties.
  • Rewards Killers for trying to keep all four Survivors injured, and still rewards them with the ability to keep Survivors injured longer and slow down their healing speeds and other objective speeds.
  • Makes Killers that benefit from using it the most no longer benefit from it as much as other Killers, especially the two Killers that make it broken.
  • Broken no longer applies the repair speed penalty so that Plague specifically doesn't abuse it.

There, it's fixed.

    Eh. That still doesn't really solve the issue with most killers not getting real value out of it. Keeping all 4 injured is next to impossible outside of Legion/Plague. Making it slow down healing is penalizing its intended counter.

    If it's 8%/14%/18%/20% penalty to repairing/sabotaging/cleansing for 1/2/3/4 survivors injured/dying/hooked, that solves the actual issue. 14% isn't awful, but it's not super amazing either. Keeping a third injured raises it to 18%. And keeping all four injured is only a 2% difference instead of an absolutely massive amount that would limit the value to basically exclusively Legion and Plague.

    My only issue is the instant repair slowdown that you get just for landing an m1/power. If it required 2-3 stacks to apply the slowdown then I would say that it's pretty fair.

    Nerf a perk that is only good on legion and plague and plus telling that rewards killer to keep 4 surv injured is ridiculous.

    1- It's impossible to keep 4 survs injured if you is not using legion or plaque, you only keep 4 survs injured with other killers if that 4 survs are a completely incompetent piece of garbage.

    This is just a excuse for the legion add-on and plague basekit, like "they make me broken to take full advantage of thanatophobia, cry cry thana is OP"

    3- with the amount of gen speed perks that survs have, only legion and plague can effectively counter all this gen speed perks with help of thanatophobia and even with thana, some matches against good survs you can barely do something.

    injuring entire team is not suppose to easy. your suppose need to work for it. Legion and Plague can injure survivors easily because its part of their power. its their entire gimmick, your suppose learn how to play the game injure the entire game. Its similar to equipping no mither automatically as killer power without the benefits.

    If you succeed, its suppose give you a big reward for doing well as killer and it lower the survivors chance at survival. You can technically still escape with 4 survivors but it's not as easy when gens are slower and your permanent instant down.

    And that’s exactly what got us in this situation where the perk is basically garbage on everyone except Legion and Plague.

    perk pretty garbage on legion and plague as well now. dead perk. I don't use it anymore.
