Barbecue & Chilli need a rework

After the last patch they changed the color of the gens but now the survivors hide behind the engines, this is unfair if the killer use the perk BBQ

I propose that the developers change the color of the auras, for example in green to make survivors more visible.

I disagree tbh. Having counterplay to a perk is a good thing imo, especially since the perk is still one of the strongest.

I agree. Hiding behind gens worked before this patch, BHVR just made it even easier than it already was.

The color change is probably on purpose, also to be able to hide with that perk.

You can run Knockout to counter this to a certain degree. I played 5 matches right before P2'ing my Huntress the other night with Knockout and BBQ. I got quite a few people caught out because they didn't know where the down occured and couldn't situate themselves properly to avoid me seeing them. SWF might negate some of this, but most Killers know what a generator outline looks like, so even a slightly mishapen form will give you intel on Survivor locations.

I also disagree. I dislike Perks that don't have counterplay, on both sides. It's a good counter play and a good argument for why the Perk doesn't need a nerf.

I don't agree, if they undo that nerf they'll nerf if 10x worse in another way.

i agree. if they dont want to be shown, they need to get closer to the hook.
At the very end, this perk was designed to stop camping and giving the killer a new target. now they complain about that. do they ever stop complaining?

I'm being serious when I say that it would be great if the effects of BBQ were inverted and instead of showing you Survivors outside of 40 meters it would show you all Survivors WITHIN 40 meters. That would effectively end the annoying hook rushing.

But then it wouldn't that just encourage more camping since the killer would know that for the next 4 seconds no ones close so he can not have to worry. Also if someones going to hook rush,e specially swf groups they're going to do it regardless.

The way it's designed now you force everyone to pretty much come closer.

Also to add to this, if you know what to look for you can still spot survivors on generators.

Perk is fine where it stands, survivors are a little brighter then the Gens. They could maybe change it for those with issues seeing colours though.

Sorry but no. Every perk deserves to have counter play. Whenever a survivor complains about BBQ i tell them that the best way to counter it is to hide behind gens, get within 40 meters of me or be unpredictable. If they are smart and know how to hide their aura then they deserve to be able to do that. Its fair gameplay.
