bhvr be like "lets nerf all survivor perks"
then be like "why is nobody playing survivor?"

Right. Since they reinstated the bonus its been on survivor the whole time lol. Its funny that the devs can't see that they need to balance soloq somehow and soon.
10 -
I mean, there is still a ton of meta survivor perks.
11 -
The meta perks just hid the issue.
The issue is that the base-game is flawed and needs to be fixed with real changes, not bandaid fixed with perks locked behind a pay wall.

What perks were nerfed to where you can't play them anymore? Some were even buffed. Can't say the same with killer perks, so be grateful. For example, Pop doing like 5-15% regression at best, Ruin regressing at 100% speed, being a destroyable hex, and deactivating after a survivor dies, or NOED which literally reveals its aura to the survivors.

I have been playing almost only survivor this past month and I don’t agree with you. I win some and lose some.
For solo queue I play : clairvoyance, inner healing, overzealous, dead hard. It’s fun both early game to avoid 3gen and end game if you need hatch.
When I want to be more altruistic I go with : Aftercare, BT, Dead hard, Windows of Opportunity

Was the SC nerf really that impactful?
1 -
Hyperfocus was literally just buffed out of PTB
5 -
Huh, that's strange, maybe I didnt get this DbD update or patch everyone else has. Since to me it seems like Hyperfocus is magically better than it was on the PTB. Huh, that's weird as well, last update Distortion and Botany Knowledge are magically better than before as well? Weird. Maybe we're playing a completely different game. Or maybe my game is broken or something.

Meanwhile Eruption, Call of Brine, Overcharge, and Lethal Pursuer all received very nice buffs.
4 -
yes.
Now my teammates can insist on throwing by healing even slower.
8 -
Meh, just take CoH + Botany and/or We'll make it and make high speed heals.
Like, you know... in a team game.
1 -
Best they can do is Self-Care and Urban
4 -
I am struggling to see your point here, killer and survivor perks get nerfed. Killer even more so than survivor perks.
4 -
Then it's a skill or even worse a being selfish issue.
We have good healing perks that allow for fast heals. But if people are to stubborn to change their loadouts. Then it's on them. You can't fix bad players.
1 -
Nope, you sure can't.
My buddy likes to run SC because he knows it bugs the absolute ######### out of me when I see him hiding in a corner wrapping away.
1 -
LOL
I have to admit. Annoying friends with wacky plays can be extremely entertaining.

They really thought people will play survivor after these crazy nerfs.
Killers got very good buffs while survivors nerfed into ground. Now nobody is playing survivor, it is not enjoyable mod. They are not even adding good survivor perks anymore. The last good survivor perk was CoH which added with Mikaela.

so true and based
1 -
Did they say this somewhere that I missed? If nobody's playing survivor who is populating my games? Yet another fake outrage topic. Same thing, over and over.
1 -
Even in that big midchapter, very few survivor perks were actually nerfed into uselessness. Off the top of my head without checking, it's mostly just Self-Care and kinda-sorta Spine Chill, right? Am I missing any?
On top of that, there are plenty of very viable and very impactful survivor perks left in the game; the "good but overshadowed" ones from before, and some of the ones that were buffed at the same time as the nerfs. It's not BHVR's fault that some players are simply too stubborn to change their loadouts.
1 -
this. but they can never help solo q players, because all the people in the DBD disc swf'ing are ruining it for us, and they know if they remove that, then their game dies. so solo survivor will ALWAYS be bad
1 -
It had to happen, its boring seeing the same top perks being used.
0 -
it's boring to play vs anti looping killers every single match as a solo survivor. what's being done about that? it's boring playing vs wesker on rpd every game, what's being done about that? it's boring having every loop on every map turned into a 2x2 square table that the killer inevitably wins, what's being done about that?
2 -
I mean, technically pop can do up to 24% if the gen is 99% when you get there and kick the survivor off
0 -
Id argue Iron will was pretty much nerfed into uselessness aswell tbh
3 -
Kinda, it went from 32 seconds to like 45 seconds I believe, and that's before applying sloppy
And it's annoying because you have those stubborn survivors who insist on bringing it and wasting a minute to just do one health state
1 -
How are perk nerfs the problem? Survivors have clear base game issues. The one is camping, and tunneling to an extent still as well. And the other is the lack of information that swf survivors have.
And on the killer's side, it's low tier killers and badly designed maps.
And those are just the big picture issues. There lots of other issues as well, like overpowered killers, addons and items.

You think that's bad? I will literally start healing my friend, and then he will cancel the healing so he can heal me, but I need the healing for a challenge, so I cancel and start healing him, then sooner or later the killer comes around seeing 2 idiots trying to make some kind of progress healing each other
1 -
Queue times aren't that bad at the moment to be honest. But yeah, perks are not the problem here at all. It's camping, tunneling, and the lack of information that swf survivors have.
Oh any maybe the biggest out of them all is mmr, and perhaps no effective way to learn how to play survivor more effectively.
1 -
Yeah BHVR is gonna have to do a ubisoft and pull an operation health or something along the lines of it similar to RB6 Siege (Two different games yes, but the concept of it)
Cause alot of the issues with the game are quite ingrained within it, and to properly fix them will take a significant amount of time to dig through fix properly tbh.

I strenuously disagree. Iron Will is still perfectly useful so long as you understand what it's utility is- you can't just slap it on and expect to gain passive value from it the way you could before.
This is kind of what I mean. People, I find, aren't willing to really think about their builds in any real detail, and are proclaiming that survivors had all their good perks nerfed because of it.
1 -
What did they do the perk
0 -
That is fair tbh, it is something you cant really just slap into any build now and make it work, you need to synergize it with other perks. It does suck though that it doesnt work with exhaustion perks, cause most people usually have 1 outside of specific builds.
I do think the perks that were out of line got the changes they needed (Dead hard, Ironwill).
DS is hard for me to say cause it is still useful and with it being run less now, people arent expecting it as much as before, but i do think it got knee capp'd a little too hard, but eh, were seeing more perk diversity now because of it so ehh.
0 -
Another thing is
i feel like Distortion should be run alot more than it is right tbh, considering how common Lethal Pursuer is right now, and other aura perks (Im all Ears, Awakend Awareness) and add ons (Compound 21)
Maybe its just my mmr bracket, but it seems much stronger after the buffs it received tbh

They increased the bonus to skill check chance
1 -
Iron Will is literally bad.
0 -
Yep. Nerfed DS, SC, Blast Mine, and many other perks into the ground and now they're completely useless. Survivors aren't allowed to have strong or decent perks, apparently.
3 -
To be fair it's almost always going to be on survivor. This game has 2 roles. Lots of people are going to find killer appealing. You need 4 for every 1 killer, but if this game does it's job right every player in the game is going to find both roles appealing in different ways (it doesn't, survivor and killer mains exist but each still play the other role enough that it cancels out). So an abundance of killers is to be expected. Maybe if someone had like 5 killer games in a day it would have a pop up that would say like "Why don't you try playing survivor?" and it will give that specific person an additional 25% over the 100% if they accepted for one game. Same could exist for survivor on the rare chance the incentive is on killer.
0 -
So now you'll get to see other boring same perks being used in their place.
1 -
If all of that bothers you, just play a different game. Obviously your going to see a lot of wesker on rpd, people want to try the new killer cuz he just came out and rpd has its rates higher because its a new map. Anti loop has been in the game since it first came out, since trapper even though he sucks, if he hides a trap in grass at a loop you simply cannot loop that tile. So half of what you said just cant be fixed.
1 -
Not exactly, there will always be the "top perks" no matter what. But the idea is there is much more perk variety now than there was and they can continue to nerf/buff perks to try and cycle them around.
1 -
Then just bring one of the faster alternatives. We have more then enough healing perks that are far better than SC.
0 -
Yeah, ik, that's what I was trying to point out, I've personally been running inner healing and even with the travel time, the cleansing, and the extra 8 seconds, still more profit than SC, and you aren't in the open either
1 -
Yeah there's really nothing that screams meta on survivor side now meanwhile killers have like 20-30 strong perks plus there's like 30-50 busted addons in the game for killers lol
It would be manageable but really the base kit changes to killers are what really make chases unfair now. They nerfed everything on survivors and then gave every killer steroids.
4 -
I think something people overlook is the only real meta perks that came out since David's was MOM on Ash and CoH on the witch. What do both of those characters have in common? They needed to sell the Survivors on their own. Pretty much all the other Survivors released D or F tier perks with maybe a few situational B tier perks here and there. I mean just compare the witch's boon totems to Yoichi's or Jonah's. It's laughable how far apart in power level these perks are.
Terrible perks for years. And people wondered why the meta was still OG perks.
4 -
Be careful. If you mention pay2win the post magically disappears.
1 -
SC sucks so bad now. Even with Botany. Unless you're healing teammates.
At the same time, the way the games have been going, who wants to potentially waste a med kit?
1 -
There are alternatives to SC. Which are so much more powerful.
1 -
I´ve been running a full healing build. Consisting of Botany, We´ll make it and CoH. Healing is so increadible fast. Yet, i see people run away from to me to SC with Sloppy. Its like they want to spend a full gen to heal themselves.
0 -
It’s actually better IMO. I’ll take the TR stealth nerf trade for a more accurate Spine Chill against killers with a TR. Better than that damn thing lighting up as a Xmas tree making me think the killer is coming but all that’s really happening is a teammate looping his ass around main building. Now I can stay on a gen till I’m absolutely sure he is coming towards me.
