What do you do with slugging.
If the killer slugs you at 5 gens and your team doesn't come to get you at all. People have said just bleed out but it takes forever. I've been just DCing when this happens as it basically ruins my experience but with the DC penalty, you still have to wait. I can understand slugging being a tactic to put pressure but at 5 gens? I don't understand.
What do you do?

Open Netflix, pull out a book. Ligit only reason I play Dbd still, Is that it gives me nore time to do my work and Hobby's than If I just sat and did them, while procrastinating.

🤣 I am starting to feel this on a spiritual level.

Slugging at 5 gens is obnoxious as hell (unless your teammates are dancing around for the save or it's a power burst killer, then it's understandable), but if your team doesn't try to help you and there's no Knockout, that's more of a team issue than it is a killer issue.
In the case where there's no way you're going to get picked up and the killer is letting you bleed out, you're way better off tabbing out or going AFK than disconnecting. It's quicker even with the first level of penalty, and past that it shouldn't even be a question.

I can agree, definitely obnoxious but been getting a lot of teams lately that are either too altruistic or not at all. Very rarely see an actual balanced team. Granted this is how the game works and I am not complaining, just a bit frustrating.

If you don't pressure at 5 gens, when will you? Probably never...
Do not procrastinate. Slug the first guy you see and keep going from there. Sometimes I forget hooks even exist! You could be me, but with worse taste in waifu!

c'est la vie monsieur Budhha. Just slam as fast as you can I guess.

Try using Unbreakable? Maybe use Boon: Exponential? I mean, if it keeps happening to you they might be good perks to consider.

I turn slightly right to my PC and browse The Internet Dot Com until I die. Not much else to do.

This is fair and basically my go-to right now. I've been using exponential so I can help my team as well I just have had bad luck with it (down in the wrong area / boon snuffed asap / etc). Will probably just move to Unbreakable. Granted this isn't happening every game mind you but when it does happen you're like "oh.. damn it!" type of situation.
Either way, as frustrating as it is, life goes on.

I will move over to Unbreakable, haven't had much luck with exponential as the boon gets snuffed really quickly. Granted this doesn't happen every game but seems to be prevalent lately.
Seems to be the general consensus is basically just wait it out. Unfortunate but seems to be the reality.

Boons can be a gamble sometimes. I don't usually use Unbreakable, but I've been considering using it more and more, lately.

Crawl to the closest survivor not in chase after I recovered as much as I can. If I still don’t get picked up, let the crows come and hopefully it’s enough to annoy the killer to pick me up (probably not). But definitely not DC’ing. I’ll smh and go get something to drink before i do that.

Yummy DC penalty for the hungry tummy. Eat your fill. That's what you are supposed to do in this case.

There's literally nothing wrong with slugging for pressure when all four survivors are alive regardless of how many gens are completed. If I down a survivor and I think I can get some extra hits or another down in I'll obviously do it, it's common sense. In fact I don't slug as much once I already have a survivor eliminated because at that point I can more easily maintain pressure by just hooking as I down them, it's the early game when there are four alive and kicking that slugging is really useful to help get them distracted from gens to give you time to collect the hooks.

Tab out to discord. DCing makes no sense because as you noted, you will wait longer AND you lost any BP you gained.

Yeah I don't understand this. When I slug it's to bring back those losing games and the survivors are ON TOP OF IT. Genuinely I have never had more fun than the few games I've had as alch ring blight vs a competent swf who are picking each other up, it's rare because I don't run alch ring very often or go against a team that is both equip and prepared for slugging like that. But seriously went against a team with soul guard unbreakable WGL, and it was so fun. Ended up losing that specific one but man that was peak dbd right there for me.
Sorry kinda went off topic, you can't do anything and your team sucks. For real survivor moment, alt+tab.

I try to pinpoint the funniest place I can go to and crawl there.
In Mother's Dwelling, it's the firepit shack for to be a barbecue'd slug.
Center of the Temple of Purgation to be a blessed slug.
Anywhere inside Garden of Joy's house to be a dark forgotten slug.
Onboard a ship on Pale Rose to be a stranded slug.
Up and center in Eyrie main building to be a slug on top of the world.
Works when I'm slugged for the 4K as well ! Sometimes killers will even follow me because they think I'm crawling towards my teammate. No such luck my guy, but would you like to see a holy slug ? There's a chapel right this way...

I'm allowed to think it's obnoxious when the game starts and a Nurse immediately goes full tilt boogie and steamrolls my team and won't hook anyone until we're all on the floor. I'm not saying it's against the rules, I'm saying it's annoying as ######### to be on other end of. My exceptions are stuff I don't get annoyed at because it makes sense as anything other than sheer overkill. It's an opinion. 🤷

And you’re entitled to having an opinion. 🙂 On the flip side, in my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with slugging for pressure regardless of how many gens are done. And I just don’t understand the issue where survivors saying slugging is “worse” than being hooked since you can at least move around and potentially be instantly healed while slugged.
It sounds more like your issue is with Nurse being overpowered than slugging in general.

Can't get slugged if you don't get downed. Just play better. Skill issue.

Eh, yes and no. My experience with 5-gen slugging is mostly Nurse (which, yes, overpowered) and the odd Knockout build, which I dislike for encouraging annoying solo-stomping gameplay. Also Doctor, sometimes, because he can force the issue by preventing anyone from being able to pick each other up with Madness 3. In all other cases, I can pick people up and my teams usually are altruistic enough to try and save me, so I don't care.
But re:opinions, that's fair. As for slugging being worse than being hooked - I can only speak for myself, but I'm pretty sure people mostly get like this when it's being slugged in a situation where they have no hopes of getting up and just want to exit the game, and slugging is seen as denying them the ability to die. That or they're complaining they want time to safely unhook players while the killer is actively patrolling for them, which... I get the frustration when the match just started and they never had any time to do anything, but at the same time, if there's one survivor up and you can be relatively sure there are no Unbreakables, there is no reason for the killer not to hunt them down.

Whenever I get slugged. I start recovering and open a YT video xd

I will say personally I never bother slugging for the 4k, it just feels like it takes way more time than is worth the effort versus just taking the 3k guaranteed win with a possible hatch escape that I don’t care too much if it happens at that point. I mean I get that if someone is really interested in getting a double pip or an Adept achievement then slugging for the 4k is the best way to guarantee it, but I honestly couldn’t care less about Grades and achievements. 🤷♂️
Anyway I’m with you on Nurse being problematic. Knockout is probably annoying for survivors, especially in solo queue, but it’s kind of a gimmick honestly. Personally I run Hex Third Seal because Windows of Opportunity is the most popular survivor perk at the moment and Blindness hard counters it, but the side benefit is it also gives the benefit of Knockout as well as hides hooks too. It just doesn’t usually last the whole game is all since it’s a Hex.
Haven’t ever done a slug heavy Doctor loadout though. Madness preventing healing is an interesting side effect.

I now have a second monitor 🤣

I usually just go AFK. If someone manages to pick me up after all of that time, I'll go back to playing the game.

The worst kind of slugging I went against was a Pig with Knock Out and Face Mask.
Knock Out makes it so you're hard to find, it also makes you blind for 15 seconds so you don't know where all your Teammates are and on top, Face Mask makes sure you'll never crawl to anyone while slugged.
I might have or might have not used this build myself on top of alterin the build a bit 😈

Depends I usually slug no matter gen if the usual flashlight saviour is around and wanna save.

A form of unbreakable should be base-kit IMO. One time use if you’re slugged for two consecutive minutes. I don’t care if slugging is a legit tactic, hell I’ve used it myself. Being on the ground for four minutes, although rare, is just terrible game design.
Slugging a survivor creates pressure with hardly any downside and takes potentially three people off gens. The power of that should be counterbalanced by the threat of that survivor picking themselves up if not picked up and hooked after 120 seconds.

This would be something nice at least give a fighting chance if the situation would arise.

You don't need to have a second monitor, just have an open window over DBD and watch YT there. You can watch a video and you will be able to tell if you get picked up :o

No Mither for the win!!!!
You will never be slugged again, you're welcome.

If the killer is slugging at 5 gens and going to leave you to bleed out or only pick you up at the last second for a hook,it's wasting your time either way. I'd leave. No hook for you. Plus a fresh DBD client restart every now and then is good. Go on Netflix, read a book, run a quick errand around the house while you wait for the reload.

I had a Feng min dc on me just because she was the first person downed (wasn't slugging) so I decided to just stand in the basement and let everyone else go I just folded the laundry and did some dishes while I waited for them to leave.
You could do some house chores or watch YouTube or do some kind of hobby while you are waiting to bleed out

Don't forget the basement of Springwood and the bed for a Sleepy Slug

Excellent addition ! I shall remember that one !

I need more context. Because I know that I only do this when I screw up and pick the survivor up, but no hook nearby. Did the killer pick you up and you struggled, then he dropped you? Because the moment the killer picks you up, you'll be able to struggle out of his grasp. You can tell when killers are slugging to be toxic and to waste your time. A lot of them have big ego's and nod at you while you're on the ground or on hook. But if they are slugging and they have no other option because otherwise the survivor will struggle out and get free. Then it's hard to be mad about that. At least for me.
