The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

What is more annoying to deal with: old or new DH?
Simple question. I for myself am not sure. Old DH was a pain because it extended loops without thinking and had iframes. But at least you DH in one direction which made it quite obvious when you used it. New DH can do almost the same (except the iframes) but needs to be triggered right at the pallet. And they can change direction during the animation, making it sometimes very hard to see if they spin at the border of your FOV.
I don't know what is more frustrating: Survivors pressing E to win or survivors pressing E right at the pallet when you think you have them.
What is your experience with DH?

Old for sure by 200%.
The new one can be annoying as well againts Survivors who can use it well but it doesn't feel as annoying or unfair as before.

Old one was way too safe. New one is really strong vs Nurse and Blight but average vs everyone else and needs really good timing. Good survivors will still use it effectively. Overall still like new one better also Legion and Slinger dont care about DH at all power wise which is nice.

Old DH

I would just like to say blight was the only character with counter play against DH before the patch. Now he can still just bump into something nearby to bait it out if needed, though sometimes there is nothing and you just have to take the L.

Old dead hard was very unfair for the killer. You just pressed a button to dodge the hit and gain free distance. Now it feels like the survivor has to predict when the killer is going to attack. It feels much better now.

Also vs Wesker or Huntress.
I can't tell how many times I got robbed of a grab because someone was DHing my needle hitbox.

Old DH was nasty. New DH is kind of annoying because it can be used near pallets where you'd otherwise be within lunge range. Predict the lunge, and boom, DH. Also it doesn't fix the issue of having to breathe down survivors necks to ensure you get a hit, which can get tedious.
But honestly I don't mind new DH. I just hope its usage stabilized and it doesn't shoot up to like 40/50% usage rate again.

And Demo. You can bait it out by faking a Shred, but often there isn't time to fake it or a good survivor will just wait until you actually start to lunge.
Still 100x better than dealing with old Dead Hard though. Don't ever want to go back to that.

Old by a very large margin.

Not to mention that auto-DH is a lot worse now because you can decide where your DH goes.

Old. Absolutely.
New DH doesn't work with Endurance and can't be used for distance.

Old
It's not even a contest
The animation of dead hard and dropping the pallet takes longer then the endurance effect
So if you time it right you can hit people who use it at a pallet
You couldn't do anything at all vs old distance hard

Old DH by a lot.
That Perk singlehandedly made me almost quit the game entirely on multiple occasions.
At least the current one needs skill (very precise timing) and has somewhat of a downside / risk attached to it (Can not be used while in Deep Wound, therefore doesn't stack with other Endurance Perks / abilities).

Old was rewarding a survivor way too much and required very little skill.
The new one needs better timing and anticipation, so getting it right feels worth the reward of protecting themselves from a hit.
The old DH was way worse.

I hate new DH a lot more than old DH, because it really encourages the killer to hit the survivor immediately after an unhook and then tunnel them so you don't need to deal with DH.
I'm still dealing with people using DH on reaction to killer swings, and the reward is much better than it was before.

Old Dead Hard felt much more powerful.
Poor MacMillan, who've had to see survivors running through his perfectly placed bear traps.. Nowadays, I can easily bait survivors into using it. What happens is survivor using it, circling around me and hoping me to swing.. Which I don't do, and swing only once the animation ends, and that's a free hit for me.
I am glad, the perk got reworked.

Old DH by far

Old DH. New DH can be annoying, too, but at least it's actually a fair and well designed perk now.

Old dead hard
I actually find myself commenting something like "nice dead hard" when survivors manage to pull a good one against me

Old DH, no questions asked. You can't even compare the two, even though by now DH is becoming the most popular exhaustion perk again. I legitly have to take it into account each chase and many, many survivors are SO good at pulling it off, but its just not as unfair and oppressive as before. If you can pull it off, cudos to you, but now baiting it out can actually work and both sides can mindgame with it and around it.

Old dh. Pretty much what everyone else said

Old one by miles. Getting Dead Harded now simply feels like I got outplayed. The perk is in a great spot right now.

does this even need to be a question

Old.
Quite simply because it was used for distance (didnt need any skill) and countered/corrected mistakes against the most basic killers (basic attacks)
New DH is way better to verse, still annoying sure but at least it's not 3+DH every match with everyone getting free mistake correcting perk

At least this sorta settles it ^^ Not a single soul opted for the new DH, and there is a reason why.

Old one for sure.
