Anti-DC / Anti-Quit Vigilantes
You know the ones… they are so outraged by your poor sportsmanship when you choose to take your chances to try to escape off hook that they run up and spam save you 50 times and/or until the killer downs them or a more levelheaded teammate steps in… they’re the ‘C’ students who never quite understood the vocabulary word ‘Hypocrisy’.
I turn my volume down and watch them turn to the dark side then die. And more than half of the time the team and killer turn on them and they sit on a hook while getting berated by the entire squad.
Seriously guys… I’m not sure what you think you’re accomplishing but I feel bad for you.

How exactly is it hypocritcal, though? You failed to explain that part.
You forfeited your right to respectful treatment when you failed to treat anyone on your team with respect. If you won't be a teammate, then at least give me some bloodpoints.

Wow... That actually makes you mad? I need to start doing that. I thought just yanking you off the hook was what would piss you off the most, guess I was mistaken.

It’s kind of obvious but let me explain it since you seem to not be getting this. They’re being toxic-level unsportsmanlike because they’re mad at people they consider unsportsmanlike. And… how do you get more bloodpoints by save spamming? I’m talking about the partial save/release/save/release that survivors can do at hook.

Well it's not like they can play dbd anymore. May as well play with their new toy for a while before they take a guaranteed L.

Ah. I misunderstood you. I thought you were referring to tbag spamming after saving.
While that's hypocritical, I can't say it's not deserved. The only reason it's stupid is because it makes it look like they're the instigator to any outside observers.
The game's already ruined when you decide to ragequit - I can't blame subsequent players from giving up at that point, in whatever spiteful form giving up may take. You certainly don't have any right to complain about poor treatment after attempting to ragequit at the start of a match.

I disagree. The game was over before I decided to exercise my option to try to unhook myself. That’s why I tried. I also never said it was the start of a match so, wrong again. Also, I didn’t complain. I said I feel sorry for them. And finally, perhaps you and those sympathetic to the anti-quit vigilantes should take your compassion one step further and apply it to those exercising their self unhook option.

Shout out to that C student. He did Gawd’s work today. 👏 👏

I made a poll asking when it's okay to grief someone. The response was: under no circumstance.

According to another forum member, there is a "1 in a million chance of [players spamming the unhook]"

I don't think it's only anti-quit vigilantes. I've had toxic survivors do that to me . . . just because. I wasn't sacrificing on the hook, I was waiting for a save.
