Why killer can't destroy totems?
It would be useful if not any hex totems are used by him at all and that way he could prevent from retoring Boon totems over and over. Shouldn't it be possible?

It would create an imbalance due to a specific perk called Hex: Pentimento. You can rebuild destroyed totems both dull and hex to get various effects. If a killer manages to get all five totems on the map, they're blocked off and the effects are permanent in the match, and trust me it's not nice to deal with.

The Killer can destroy totems. It's a perk called Shattered Hope that the Devs added to get Killers to stop complaining about boons being able to be infinitely relit. No one uses it because boons aren't in every game and that makes the perk too niche.

You can if it's a boon and you have Shattered Hope. But destroying totems are a survivor objective primarily, which contributes to our emblems/pips and overall bloodpoints

It's like that saying
Kick a boon
...Lose a gen.

yeah, they should nerve the boon kick slow down perks.

Because boons are fun for survivors

And having at least 1/4 of our perks invalidate cause rng in first 10sec of match is fun for killers unless we have an entire build focused around them.

or NOED right to the hook

NOED totem should be revealed once active. Such as boons should be one use like hex totems. Make aura smaller for killer. But once it's destroyed it's gone

Because I need those totems for my Inner Strength.

Takes less than 2 seconds to snuff a boon even with shattered hope and there are only 5 totems it isn't that difficult even with lower speed killers.
If you know where totems exist on a map you will be fine

Yeah it only takes 2 seconds to snuff the boon at the top of Ironworks, very cool BHVR!

If you want them to make like hexes, they should
a) be lit at the start of the match
b) have a aura radius akin to hex-totems
c)should take the killer 16 seconds to cleanse, but are gone afterwards.
But i am not sure thats a good tradeoff for killers.

You forgot to bow after your performance. Shame on you. π

Just put on shattered hope if you see a michaela or a jonah in the lobby lol

Because they built them with much love, and that would make them sad.

I donβt think killers should be able to destroy dull or hexed totems.
The option to either break or just snuff a boon would be my solution.
Also new hexes being applied to dull totems should override a boon if RNG decides to. It makes no sense that a survivor can boon a hex, but not vice versa.

I wonder if some people here even play the game.
To get rid of boons permanently use shattered hope.
People who think it takes a killer too long to go there and stomp them: it takes a survivor longer to go there and boon them. It's not like survivors teleport to a totem the second you snuff one. If a boon comes back after not even twenty seconds it's because the survivor already took note of totems spawns nearby. More often than not it takes a surv longer to find a spawn and set up the boon than it's worth - which is why the general advice is to not forgo other objectives in order to set up a boon if not absolutely necessary.
