Hyperfocus Build Is Fair, Just As Coulrophobia Build is fair.
If you don't want your perks nerfed then don't talk about others' perks to be nerfed. I hate biased attitudes. You can either do gens without being able to heal really fast OR you can run gen regression perks and make it hard for Hyperfocus to get any real traction. You can't have both. There has be some balance. Overcharge + Call Of Brine, Pain Resonance + Dead Mans' Switch and even Dead Lock with Eruption. 2 perk combos. With Hyperfocus, you'll need that plus Stakeout. Just remember, you cannot have 1-shots all match but then complain about gen speeds. Choose what you want, just like survivors can choose what they want.

Is Wesker the only reason Coulrophobia is being talked about? Because you just slap a hard range cap on Coulro, and it goes right back into the gutters.

Yeah, but healing slowdown can realistically be countered by a single perk - Autodidact. Gives absolute percent progress increase, which cannot be reduced.
There is no singular equivalent that more or less nullifies Hyperfocus being paired with a toolbox and either good reaction times or Stake Out to drop a 90 second generator to ~40s.

Its the speed of the skill check combined with another perk that makes it tiny. You're 1-shot until healed, you miss the skill check and now the killer knows where someone is who is 1-shot so its free tracking too. Don't heal and a killer without a terror radius or a speedy killer can capitalize on it with no real effort. That's the issue. If they changed the speed of the needle, no one would complain. Just change it to like 30% speed but 50% speed is just about impossible to hit with a tiny skill check because of a perk.

Just give it time guys, for people to get used to everything. It just came out. If indeed is a problem, I'm sure it will be nerfed as necessary. Things constantly evolve around here.

I've already told you that its not the SPEED of the HEALS. If you want to ignore what I've said already in a previous post that was directed at you then don't comment on mine.

If you don’t want people to respond, don’t post on a public forum?
If you’re worried about failing the check, run Bite the Bullet and it instantly solves the issue.

How tiny we talking?

Dead Hard. Bam, you're back with "two" healthstate.

I swear, survivors just want to nerf killer perks now because one or two killers make good use out of them
Again coulrophobia isn't even good on its own

Unnerving Presence makes the skill check box 40% normal size. There’s a clip of it toward the bottom of the Wiki page

Hyperfocus and Coulrophobia are totally unrelated. It’s quite possible for one to be broken and the other not or both be broken or both not. There’s zero reason to talk about one in a thread about the other.

Thing is the entire coulro build is countered by 1 perk, theres no single perk that makes up for the amount of speed hyperfocus - stakeout provides and hyperfocus stackout is 2 perks. The coulro build is bordering on meme imo, 0 gen def 0 info 0 chase and inner healing ignores it entirely. If people find this niche build so annoying just run inner strength more imo.

Hyperfocus is fine, it’s just toolboxes that need looking at. As for Coulrophobia, I think it’s perfectly fine when Starstruck exists.

Wesker's terror radius is insane - but this same quality that makes anti-healing build so good also makes the Stakeout/Hyperfocus build so good and since they are preventing healing - guess what gets done faster?
Balanced.

coul is a -.5 modifier that will turn a 16 second heal into a 16/.5 = 32 seconds to heal. It can be countered by walking out of the killers terror radius/autodidact/bite the bullet/botany knowledge and does not do much on its own. If you're referring to the Wesker sloppy/coul/distressing/unnerving that is 100% of the killers loadout to do that. Hyperfocus and stakeout does not require a fully loaded gen build, you can still run an exhaust perk AND another perk(you can literally run hyperfocus + stakeout + bite the bullet). You get 40 second gens AND counter the big bad wesker build in one fell swoop and you can still run an exhaust perk if you'd like to remainn just as strong in chase as normal.

I'll just add Inner healing to the list of perks that counter it.
1 -
Ah I see so I just need to step outside the generator's terror radius for Hyperfocus to lose its effect?
1 -
If they were to nerf hyperfocus realistically maybe just make it unable to work with tool boxes that will probably fix any killers having issues with said build

The true voice of reason in this thread.

Its really interesting (and kinda funny) what is happening here. Do you know what this is? This is what we in the business call a "meta", you guys might have heared about it.
You either use the generally most effective stuff, like DH/DS/IW/BT in the past OR you have something that is now generally used by the other side that you want to counter.
With all the Weskers running around with Coulrophobia (myself included), many survivors take this into account and adjust their builds accordingly by adding Bite the Bullet, Autodidact or Inner Healing to their builds, perks that they would most likely have glossed over in the past in favor of other, stronger options.
This is how things should be evolving in such a game: introduce new, cool stuff that leads to the other side adjusting and vice versa. We don't have a counter to Hyperfocus yet, but who knows what someone might come up with? Lets just see how things proceed and have a little faith in BHVR that they will step in if one thing gets too overtuned. But don't always nerf something thats strong or effective, just because it is strong or effective. This will either lead to a meta were both sides have basically their loadout set and both loadouts are basically balanced against each other or were everything is nerfed so much that it is just some minor "+4% bonus" that you wont even notice, just because everything more was optimized and balanced out of the game.
